As stated millions times -> one week (or several) of grinding is not the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problems are

1. that the payouts were superbadly balanced before the patch, and instead of adjusting the low-paying stuff the gutted the best way to earn credits (think for a second why they would do that - you might find the conclusion)
Well, higher payouts are better than lower payouts, that's for sure, that's how life works.
My point is the payouts in terms of Cr/min are in line with those in GT6, being the prices of equal or less (Rally Cars or Gr. 1 LMP1 are half price than GT6), it's concluded that PD makes hard to grind just to spent real money.
The payouts are at the same level of top payouts with the releases without microtransactions and the car prices are lower or similar.
If they would like to make us spent real money, they would only need to pump the prices of cars you would need for Sport Mode, FIA Championships and so. That doesn't happen. It's not like FIFA or anything like that, where you need to spend money in card packs to have decent players to play online, because the baseline players are just terrible.

Grinding for money isn't harder or slower than in other GT games, that's a fact, not a matter of opinion.

The Fisherman's race had a better payout/minute than the best grind possible in GT Sport and has now similar payout/minute to the best grind possible in GT6 or GT5.

A fact ?

We have a different opinion of how high payouts should be - that is totally acceptable.
And tbh I don't mind the grind that much because I still like the gameplay, so according to pricing your argument is sound.

But why ignore my second point, which is much more problematic as it shows the biggest flaw of the game -> lack of content
2. Even if I grind to purchase a hypercar -> where would I use it???
There are not enough races, and custom races don't even have the option of making my own tournament!!

Hahahaha - thanks for that!!!

Im gonna copy this picture a lot :-D

What would be nice is for PD/Sony give all the players 10,000,000 credits as a goodwill gesture for todays outage,i doubt they will but it would be nice.If the game didnt rely on being online permanently we could have carried on with single player to out hearts content.
I realise this might come across as entitled to some people but its exactly what is wrong with a game that requires online connection, the excuse of stopping cheating via saves doesnt really wash in this day and age, surely have one save for online and vice versa.

10 million credits is 100€ in MTX, do you really think they would give you that for free or even care about your goodwill? That's a very very optimistic view.

If they cared about goodwill they wouldn't do this in the first place.

You should investigate what that word means. I could afford the most expensive car in GT2 after about 20 minutes once I got about a quarter of the way through the game. I didn't even have to play GT4 or GT5 to get money (and it's probably not a coincidence that that ability was removed coinciding with PD allowing you the privilege of paying real money to get more cars).

Yeah i know, but i try to see the good in everything.lol But it wouldnt actually cost them anything to add the credits, just lost MTX sales which they may or may not have got anyway.Ive no intention of shelling out for these MTX.

People defending this is funny.

Even the reddit sub is up in arms and that place is usually renowned for being very fanboyish. Even YouTuber Super GT has tweeted that payouts are far too low and MTX is a bad move.

The community is getting pissed. The game is clearly not living up to its GT roots and more and more people are waking up to that fact once the new game shine has worn off.

PD is fixing a bug in the game ...
The bug they should fix are:
You can buy a car at realistic prices, but not being able to sell a car is not realistic!
You can save a best lap replay, but you cannot load it as a ghost!

Where is their logic?
To sell cars we need to be able to win cars like in the older titles, otherwise selling makes no sense in the long term

It really sounds as if the world is ending for some folks on here. The game as it is, is grindy and hopefully they'll fix that. They also no doubt see the backlash online. Here, and other places. Maybe they'll increase some payouts, or, better yet, add some championships (that pay well!).

I don't think PD is malicious or doesn't care. I think we will see bigger payouts in the near future. That would probably solve almost everything that's wrong. Although I'm sure the same few that complain on every thread would still be complaining about something :P
This aged well, lol. No offence to you personally Benny, it's good to be optimistic.

For me it stopped shining the moment I saw how much they downgraded visual effects for smoke and dirt and water... haven't touched it since 1.06 update or better call it "downdate" 😡

Much like the rabbit chase, where you have to set your car up to beat the rabbit and not the other 18 cars, buying cars is the same way,
the expensive car prices are set so high that you need to do races that as high enough payout to minimize the grind.

If the prices where more inline with GT4, the minimum payouts would be less of a issue.

My guess is these are now going to reward even less. But they haven't added any more races either. So now we need to do the same races even more.
I hope I am not right :boggled:

The first two on the list are actually substantial increases. The WTC 800 Le Mans and Monza went from 5,000 to 70,000. I did the LeMans race yesterday, 5 laps, and was shocked by the abysmal payout.

The rest of the affected events are reduced payouts. 👎

I would assume that was to improve framerates.

They did add B-Spec into GT6 (which had mtx) so you could use that on some races to farm, but it was much easier to just do the Red Bull events or seasonals. At release it was hard to make money, but later on I was constantly on the credit cap.

Wow. So now we have to repeat the minuscule amount of races even more? I am so confused with what they are trying to achieve. At this rate people are just going to get burnt out and get sick of the game. If you haven't got many races then the priority should be to add more, not make your current races pay less.
I know the answer is gonna be a "no" but just for some entertainment I am gonna put in a refund request 😂

Wow, I can't believe the game is still down. They must have really screwed something up. Though better they fix it than release a bugged patch that would have people bitch even more. All this talk about credit nerfing is crazy. PD giveth than taketh away. If the payouts had not been so high for certain events in the first place nobody would have cared as much. GTS had a lifespan of over 4 years, yet people want to own all of the cars in GT7 within the first month. I have 150 cars already, that's 1/3 of total in a couple of weeks.

Let's remember that we will be getting more content and some of that content will probably come with rewards such as cars, etc. Play the game as it was meant to be played and you will be rewarded eventually. Though it may take a little longer than most want. That being said, I'm glad I grinded Fisherman's Ranch before the update and have almost $6 mil in the bank.

This is the dumbest post I have ever seen. People have complained about the slow credits in this game since it was released. They are complaining because they are getting even worse when they were hoping they would be increased. They are also complaining because they can't play the game they have paid for because the company has screwed up. We should still be able to play single player.
Its the fact as well there is hardly any races in this game so we have to play the same ones over and over again just to buy anything in the game. Now we have to play them even more because we now get less for doing them. The focus should be to add more races, not make us play the same ones even more. It's gotten to the point where I am even playing the races that reward 5k just because I have played all the other ones so many times.
If you actually looked at the reward ratios compared to previous GT games then this game has lesser rewards then every other GT game. Its like 40% slower than GT sport.
So before you start spilling crap saying everyone is just complaining about stuff they have no reason to complain about, if you actually done your research you would actually realise that people have a right to be angry. Gran Turismo is going to crap right in front of their faces. A game that people care about and now the developers are playing on that using this game to squeeze money out of them by slowing the progression right down and then offering you to buy credits.

No, no, no!.... You cannot grind! You must pay! Do you not understand? You pay $159 AU for the game and still do not understand? You must pay! We will reduce the dealer invitation times and Legendary car rotation soon so go to PS store and PAY for credits! Now you see, there is no other way. If profit no go up, race credits WILL COME DOWN!!

Dealer invitations are the biggest scam I have ever seen. Can't believe people are defending this game.

Not trying to be overly hyperbolic but I wouldn't put it past PD to remove the ability to earn credits completely in the next patch. I'm not an angry cry baby, I'll be mad for a bit tonight and then I'll make dinner and play some Elden Ring and more than likely forget about GT7 for a while. It just hurts seeing the game franchise I've adored for 25 dang years treat me not as an appreciated fan, but nothing more than a wallet to extract more and more money from.. 🙁
