And with that F50, Ferrari hypercar family is complete.

I wonder how pathetic the top speed of the Trans-Am will be this time?

Because PD already showed that they have no clue how to properly translate classic muscle cars performance to their games...Challenger R/T and Mustang Mach 1 both being limited to 110 mph because of the ridiculously short 4th gear ratio is beyond ridiculous.

They are the tracks that get the votes. Not everyone would like them fair enough but did anyone ask for extra Tokyo routes?

My response was basically to point out the whingers, whiners and bleaters don't speak for everyone, no matter how correct they think their personal opinion is. PD will give us what they want to give us, while it's free complaining makes no sense, and when it's not free people will be able to vote with their wallets.

Micro Transactions in GTS case is the weakest greed version there is, if it was a "panic move" then it would be something else. And we have another thread where there is speculation on the economics of the game. PS+ being the most obvious suspect for making PD money.
But dosen't PS+ make for every game? anyway this hole argument is pointless to put it gently ... unlike EA etc in GTS's case there is no battle to be fought "you" don't like microtransactions ? ok very good just turn them off and invest time in the game (since that is the resson "you" bought the thing to begin with.). If someone is a sucker , lazy etc and wants to buy the latest cars instandly with cash let him be is non of our business what i find a bit hypocritical is how Lord of tranz dosen't critisize the other games that do the exact reverse thing "oh you like 1 car of our new pack well that sucks you must pay for all 5" 💡 ahhh i get it! its because they named it DLC! smh...

Honestly, I’m pretty satisfied with this update.

It’s cool that we’re getting the P1 GTR aswell. IMO I much prefer it to the standard road version.

About the track, it looks pretty nice, gives me PGR vibes. I do hope PD steps their track game up soon though and gives us an iconic original track (like Deep Forest) or a famous race track (Spa).

I'm honestly not interested in more Tokyo Expressway layouts when there's still no remaster for R246. That's not to say the new Expressway layout won't have anything to offer.

As for the cars, the F50 and M3 are nice additions. I guess the P1 GTR plays it safe in terms of community-wide appeal. The rest I wouldn't prioritize compared to what's still missing.

Here is an idea. We know PD is working on something big. They also have been focusing on road cars, which would be necessary to model before making Gr3&4 versions of said cars. The updates are 7-9 cars a month, even though they now have outsourced help with car models. There are other reasons why the updates may have been smaller/skipped months but...

What if PD were making 3-5 Gr3/4 cars a month but holding them back for next year when they launch the second year of FIA championships?

Will they really just use the same cars we spent thousands of miles in for another year?

Just an idea. I have nothing other than the idea PD are holding something back, and working on something big. Could be anything!

That "ridiculously short" gear ratio, in other words a 1:1 fourth gear combined to a 3.54:1 or a 3.89:1 final drive, is perfectly in line with what the muscle cars actually were equipped with. There were even shorter ratios available, for example a common "Drag Pak" option in the Mustang was a 4.11:1 final drive.

It's not exactly PD's fault to replicate cars that were optimized to run the quarter mile as quickly as possible and the only one having no clue about classic muscle car performance here is, unfortunately, you.

We know nothing, but I hope you are right.

Who knows?

That P1 GTR might even be from Driveclub itself.

PD must be focusing on the next title maybe a PS5 game?

I think there are enough Gr.3 - Gr.4 cars to pick from and I don't expect them to make new ones built from the ground up, maybe for there next game.

They might be more Gr cars from the previous games like the Ford GT Spec car etc.

1971 Dodge Challenger R/T top speed: 139 Mph/240Km/H

Source: https://www.supercars.net/blog/1970-dodge-challenger-rt/

Submitted by the owner of one, includes the same specs that the car in the game has.

1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 topped speed: 131 Mph/210 Km/H

Again, same specs as the car represented on GTS.

But are credible sources of automotive data, but If I am the one who doesn't know anything here, then neither are these sources. And clearly you are the one who knows everything about these cars.

So tell me, are the cars accurately represented in the game then? What do you think of the rev limiters that they constantly bounce on any straight line long than a 1/4 mile? Have they rolled out of factory like in the real life?

Those numbers don't make sense. Given the final drive on both cars, The Mustang should have the higher top speed. In addition, on the Mustang's speed, it says Theoritical top speed without speed governor. Suggesting the car wouldn't reach that speed in stock trim.

Just to add some real life experience. I had a '77 Corvette that I fixed up for the wife. It had the common 3 speed auto transmission, and rear gears were 3.90:1. Acceleration was neck breaking, but the RPMs were screaming at 55mph. We never took that car on long trips, it was just too annoying to drive far with the revs like that.

There have been a couple of comments on this forum from people who were at the live finals and have heard or seen something but are bound to secrecy. Basically PD have something planned, and are very busy. And that is as far as the rumblings go. It could be literally anything, but I'm hoping for a raft of new cars for FIA racing.
Source ? :odd:

I agree it would be nice to see. I'm not going to hold my breath for a big one off content drop though personally.

Greed is greed, and I agree with regard to plus too. But it's only needed for the broken part and I have it for other games, including TLoU, also Sony IIRC.

It's gaming today. 'We' allow it too much.

I complain about other games with these practices in the appropriate place.

Or is this a GTA/Fortnite forum, figured that would not be allowed really, lol.

My point is that, we have to spend time doing chores to grind for cars. The thread is full of 'let the grind begin' comments. That's blatant!

Those numbers don't make sense.

They certainly don't.

It's simple maths really. Take a 15" tyre, say a 225/65R15 which is quite seriously fat for a 15" as they go, the circumference is 2116 mm. Let's assume the engine is doing 6000 rpm - the big V8s don't do much more and it's already 1000 rpm past the Hemi's full power rpm, so it's 100 revolutions per second. The fourth gear is 1:1 so only the final drive comes into play, 100/3.54 is 28.25 rounded to two decimals. Now, 28.25 x 2.116m = 59,78 m which means a speed of 215 km/h.

Take into account that in the game the engine only does 5500 rpm (which may well be true) so 215/6000 x 5500 = 197 km/h. The transmission shows 190 km/h as the top speed which is very possible considering that I probably overdid the tyre size by quite a bit just to err on the safe side.

Maybe Kaz will tweet another picture on Saturday (1st December) for the next update?

Or Gran Turismo will publish a tweet per day, to tease us about some future content like we're opening a case of an Advent Calendar?

Maybe I'm dreaming too much

Expect less, get more. It's as easy as it reads
Personally I have enough games at the moment to wait for something big.
No one here who plays some of the big games this autumn like RDR II?

That sounds a little too close to PD engaging with the community.

People have been making hints like this
PD has enough on its plate right now, trust me guys.
but finding the actual posts is like a needle in a haystack. That one took me 15 minutes and wasn't the one about them being very busy with something. Of course, there is also the FIA approved GT License stuff that they want to do. There are a lot of possibilities.

No, PS+ is only required for the online parts of games (except the free to play games). And GTS is a game that relies heavily on the online part, so it is naturally a game that makes SONY/PD plenty of money.

Greed is greed, and I agree with regard to plus too. But it's only needed for the broken part and I have it for other games, including TLoU, also Sony IIRC.

PS+ is what makes SONY and PD money, i doubt that they would invest so much into the FIA competition etc if it wasn´t for PS+ and the E-Sport future. I support the games i play with cash because i think they are worth it. If PD had implemented pay to win Microtransactions i would be gone.

What this dlc is called "The Christmas Update" rather than monthly based?

You will probably be looking forever as these people were part of the events that took place and certainly not ruin their reputation or chances of participating into other events by leaking out planned updates or contents for next year or whatever it is that they know about.
