These are the Cerbera Speed 12’s re-engineered to finaly make them road legal and reliable. Most of the ones that ran back in the day where race cars for British GT.

The original Speed 12, as featured in early GT’s, has unique styling, but only ran for a season in British GT.

I understand that, but the styling doesn't do it for me. And I am sure the wing and splitter would deem it less road legal, because of the sharp edges etc? (Here in The Netherlands, its forbidden because of that i believe.)

I am just not into the idea of giving it a wing, splitters and making half of the kit a carbon fibre look. I am sure they could've made it a road legal and reliable car without the whole exterior shebang. I mean if you want to compete with the hyper-cars of today you already have an outdated design anyway.

And I believe, the reason for the original Speed 12 (which I love much more than the Cerbera, I wish they'd bring this car back! For real! ) was due to temperature problems of the engine, and cockpit in the race? Anyway, I am very glad TVR is back, they have a special place in my heart because of the obscurity of their concepts and builds, and the sheer rawness of their cars!

...which itself is in the game already.

Sorry, didn't realize I had to be perfectly correct all the time as I forgot to include the word convertible but people love trolling. AN E TYPE CONVERTIBLE!!! There is a hard top in the game already though, yes you are correct on that one but no need to get full of it. Some are saying it's the opening cutscene Porsche which is a good possibility but those hood bevels still have me hoping for a Jaguar of sorts.

Which, aside from looking completely different, is also already in the game.

The Jaguar XJ13 came in 1.11 in January 2018.
Both the old and new Alpine A110 arrived in 1.13 at the end of February 2018.
The Jaguar E-Type Coupe arrived in 1.29 in November 2018.

Again, an E Type Convertible, yeah I said coupe but I meant convertible. I would expect more kindness, patience and understanding from an admin instead of these intolerant messages. I joined GT Planet for my love of Gran Turismo and keep in mind this is a speculation thread for a game rated E. I'm not a child but I hope that the younger players on this forum aren't held to such a high expectation of knowing everything about the game. I'm not sitting here cutting out car images in Illustrator or Photoshop then pasting them over top of the silhouettes to guarantee that my speculations are error free. I'll keep hoping for an E Type Convertible and hopefully the car I thought to be the Alpine A110 is a Nissan Figaro instead. Something new, fun and unique. I'm done posting on this thread now, can't speculate without instant scrutiny instead of kindly correcting someone's mistake. The use of mocking .gif images is un-necessary when the words, "I think that car is already in game." work just fine.

Ah yes, the intolerance of telling you which updates the cars came in. Why it's almost hate speech.

In the meantime, a quick reminder that you posted that you thought it was an XJ13 and an A110 three times in this thread, and users pointed out three times that they're already in the game.

"Speculation" is reasoning based on evidence, and if you're ignoring the fact the cars you're "speculating" are already in the game, you're not using the evidence. If you're doing it three times despite users pointing it out, it's a bit rich to suggest other users are trolling.

Also we have two pinned threads in this forum with all the cars and tracks in the game listed.

I hope the TVR becomes the dominant car in the N-category. Would be fun seeing a bunch of those instead of the 911 or M4 all the time.

The cars you mention are not THAT dominant that nothing else is feasible. I MS Excelled the hell out of the lap times from MidFieldMaven, and the cars you mention are quite competitive in their respective classes, assuming that every thing is kept stock off course.
Like I have mentioned in way too many posts (and my signature): "There is a spreadsheet where you can compare these lap times, and it does the math for you" (what I haven't mentioned yet, is that one can places comments now. Constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated)

If you would say that the 4C and X-Bow are way too dominant in their respective classes, I get the point. But there are other cars in many occasions.

I think the Ford GT has H-pattern (but sequential) shift because it's a test car.
So the Race Car may have linear sequential shift... I guess.
Any chance the toyota supra mk5 added to the update ?
Going by the inclusion of the VGT concepts and Gazoo Racing Supra "GTE-based" Concept already in the game, it's definitely possible. WILL it happen come January 14-17? We'll see.

Given that the Toyota has showcased the FT1 and those VGT things in GT6 and the GR SUpra is in GT3 class then yeah, they would be doing great advertising to add the Supra as an N400 car with a slew of videos and media material in the game.

It's not the message trying to be conveyed, it's the manner and use of punctuation. The first time I quoted you, I thanked you for telling me the cars were in game. After, the misunderstanding between coupe and convertible E Type didn't help. Your responses read quick and short tempered, I can't help that, you're an Admin, being held to a higher standard is a blessing and a curse. As for trolling, again, the use of a .gif in mockery creates more conflict than saying, "that car is in the game too". I wasn't accusing anyone of trolling, I mentioned people like to as in the use of .gif files. In the end, I'm just excited about free DLC content in a few days, that's why I got on here and shared my opinions on the silhouettes in the first place. If you feel I've crossed a line, send me a message and tell me why and what not to do in the future. I'll leave the thread, props to everyone doing the research on TAS and DAS. Be cool to see some new imports and the 30th Anniversary Edition MX-5 Miata coming to DAS. Audi 5

Interesting-ish history, the original Speed 12 (or Project 12/7 as it was first called) appeared in GT2 and a few of the earlier Test Drive games was completely different as I'm sure you're aware and purpose biult for FIA GT1 racing which during development was canned, making the project a bit pointless.

TVR stuck with the idea though and soon after along came the Cerbera Speed 12 which appeared in GT3 - 6 and a few of the Forza games amongst others. This was the de-winged version of which only a single car ever made it's way to the public. It was soon bought back by TVR though and then cannibalised for parts for the racing program.

A few years later Peter Wheeler, who owned TVR at the time placed an advert for one TVR Speed 12 road car to be rebuilt and sold. Unfortuantely the original bodywork of the road car had been destroyed so only the racing cars shells were left, but the road car was rebuilt and re-sold, this time with the wing and all the vents the race cars had, as it was literally one of the racing cars shells. This car was sold and then was driven by John Barker in Evo many many moons ago, it's a fantastic read if you ever find a copy of it anywhere.

The above car is the very one re-built and sold in 2003/4 using one of the racing cars shells.

As you can see, the Helical Speed 12 is replicating this look rather than the original style the road car was intended to look like. I do personally agree with you that the smoother more muscular lines don't need the wing and vents and it does look too much like a racing car rather than a road car for good and obvious reasons. I still love it though.

My wife and I test drove a Cerbera. We went out one by one with the sales guy. My wife went second and was ages. Turned out the car had run out of fuel. Bought a Jag XK8 - never failed us in 10 years.

Lol that thing sure has a very long hood, indeed.
