My friend has a Celeron in his computer. He plays games so I guess I should let him know about this bottleneck.
Finally some great news. FEAR cant go up to 1600 or I would be trying that for sure. 👍PakoAt the 1024x768 with an average of almost 60 fps, with 60 fps being the holy grail of desired gaming fps, I'd say you're there. Try it 1600x1200 just for kicks to see what you get.![]()
CAMAROBOY69
Excellent looking forward to it.PakoI'm reinstalling the game so I can give you some comparisons. Will post shortly.
Oh wow so I really do have a fast computer then.PakoWell, had a session to mix down for a client, but what I found out is that I average 47 FPS at the 1280x960 with all the max settings as you do. This does goes to show that the dual cores really aren't being utilized as they could be. I'm running at stock processor speeds right now and know I could squeeze some more FPS out of it if I pushed the clock speeds, but in it's stock state, there it is.
I'd say for what you have into your system, you are sitting pretty good for sure.
BTW - what P4 did you get?
CAMAROBOY69The case temperature gauge seemed to stay around 82 degrees no matter how intense the games got. Not sure if that is good or not but that was the temp the case said.
Yes I am pretty sure thats 82 degrees fahrenheit. Thats what the case shows on the front. Im not sure what the CPU reads?FPS_nOObUmm... are you sure that's degrees? What's the CPU read?
skip0110Thats like 28 C which is very, very good but I have a feeling its not the CPU temp, which is probably more like 35-45 C.
Here you go. There was some temp gauge looking thing on the desktop and I clicked on it. Here is what it was running. NOt sure what it means but here you go.RobcioPLThe case temperature will most likley always be wrong. Use something like Everest Home Edition, and it will tell you the temperature that shows up in the bios.
CAMAROBOY69Those that dont know how to do the celcius to farenheight conversion it is like this. I am pretlty sure this conversion is right. I tried several numbers and it worked.
C=celcius
F=farenheight
C x 1.8 + 32 = F
FPS_nOOb
PakoAhem www.google.com will also convert in the search bar.![]()
Type this in googles search: 29 celsius to fahrenheit
Here it is with some crossfire action going on... I would have expected better results, but here they are. I have some new ram coming that will also help.... 1280x960 everything max.
I have seen videos of Far Cry for the PC and I agree that looks beautiful. Still to this day, the most beautiful game I have ever played was Kameo on the 360. So far nothing out on any system even comes close. The color and graphics in that game are beyond amazing.RobcioPLThose numbers are amazing! I never thought of fear being a great game, its scary at some points, but i thought the graphics were ok. Go play FAR CRY now, that game is beautiful!
Who are you talking to? I dont even have a single clue what you just said.TVR&Ferrari_FanThe Intel D 350 is not the fastest Intel Dual Core CPU you know, there are faster ones with more caches.
