That makes 2 of us! Going to get to 20 mil before the cutoff time. I already have all the cars I want, I just want a 20 mil buffer for whatever I want to do.

As for everyone saying this ruins the expirience, not for me!

Now I can race a bunch of different cars competitively online and it makes it a lot more fun, now I'm not using the same 20ish cars online to win races. I can experiment and enjoy driving all the cool cars of GT 5.

Or start joining online racinge leagues...There is still plenty to do even if you buy most of the cars and have reached level 40.
 
Thread title should be named "1.08 patch is up, the end of SSR7 glitch, come whine about it in this thread please."
 
Got the patch last night and still was able to race on SSR7 with others doing that spinning money glitch thing.
My conclusion - Not fixed! (In Asia at least)

I've just realised that the spinning thing to win the race is still possible but the rewards have been cut down.

Haven't seen the patch yet.

I'm not sure what Polyphony is up to, but I'd like for them to get this patch over with by Friday, because I'm getting tired of scrolling through "SSR7 $$$!" rooms online when I just want to race for fun. Considering that this is a very minor update, it shouldn't be that hard and I hope that shem is wrong about the patch not being a waste of time.
 
They did not lift the 1 million credit ban, and there is still only one trade per PS3 per day. Just figured I'd throw that out there for all the traders who are wondering.
 
I was hoping for the removal of the 20 million credit cap and the trade limit, both in dollar value and number per day. Both my PS3's updated when I turned them on tonight in USA. 3.6 and 1.08.
 
Damn patch is out in Canada. We have 2 consoles in the house. Mine I turned off and when I went back online I had to download the patch. The other ps3 did not get turned off and is still able to do the glitch. Wish I never turned mine off...

Just throwing it out there..... anybody find another way to glitch yet?
 
So I have the Update 3.6 and the Update for GT5 1.08 and I still see people Racing on SS7 with the Glitch.Dont think it's fixed or they have not gotten the Patch yet. i'm going to try and go inside and see if i can still get into the wall to see if PD actually fixed the Glitch


EDIT: Finally the Patch is indeed Fixed, I'm assuming those Running the Glitch STILL havent recieved the update
 
At some point tonight I was able to get in the wall and win a race, but the money and XP were no longer awarded. Guess that's that!

1) Wouldn't "accomplished" GT'ers have an extensive garage by now? I'm nowhere near an expert and I figure I could find an appropriate car in my garage of 950 unique cars.
2) The discussions I've seen about the glitch have not been about people making a few quick credits for the one car they need, but for people who are stockpiling cars and cash, as if a nuclear war was about to break out, and they need provisions
3) The other type of people you are referring to are known as the general public. I happen to be one of them. I, however, have realized that there is little point to the online aspect for me because I know I'm not good enough, and I just don't want to deal with the immature behaviour seen online.

Again, that's just my personal opinion, and I'm not ranting or crying about any of this... I just want people to realize this isn't a life or death issue. It's just a game and people will play how they want. Just respect other people's opinions, even if it doesn't agree with your own.

Yep good to get your opinion and I do respect it, it’s exactly my point. I said accomplished ONLINE gamers, they mainly race online where you don't win cars, and money is not that easy to come by. So they need the cars to race online but have to play the ingame to get them which eats into there online experience. This glitch enables them to both race online and get good money to buy those cars they want to race online.
Public room's problems come from casual onliners who don't care if they get a bad rep they think they won't run into the same people to often anyway. Private rooms are the best way to race but i do public when mates aren’t on and usually find some good races with good racers who i then request to join my friends list, it grows form there. Once you ago online there is always a message from someone to come join a great race session they are in. Got 100 on my list at the moment and having trouble deleting old friend to make room for new ones to get into these private rooms that only allow friends in.
 
Yep, I'm still in there but some people are coming in the room saying they can't get in the wall now that they've updated. I wonder how long I can leave my PS3 on without updating...

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm milking it for all it's worth at the moment. lol
 
was the host of a room and race was almost finished then 1.08 update came up on the screen and forced me to update. So no luck on staying in a room all night. won't work

Same here in the UK, Just updated PS3 firmware though so that;s ready.

Now waiting on 1.08 to come.

*I'm now also a member of the A Spec = 40 / 20 million cr" club lol.

Now I can finally sit with my Driving Force GT and do the 24 HR Nurburgring Nordschleife!! :P
