Just saw this thread, read the first few pages then skipped a few admittedly so apologies if old ground but couple things I noticed:

1. Posters from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore mention the update, and say it's probably Asia only so far then, but people in the rest of the world still cry BS :dunce:

2. Cheaters gonna cheat. I don't really blame PD for patching this one up, but anyone who bitches about people using exploits needs to take a long cold look at themselves. It doesn't affect you, you don't HAVE to cheat, or is that the issue? Self control? If that's the case don't be crying at the cheaters :)

Who is cheating?

WTF is wrong with some people?

SSR7 was a time saver for all of us car collectors.

It has nothing to do with how others enjoy the game.

Geez, some people...👎

Cheating? I personally think anyone that used an over powered car to win or grinds with a overly fast car is just as much a cheater.

You chose to do it the easy way. These others did as well.

So in reality. Anyone that used over powered cars to win are cheaters.

Here is a noble idea. Mind your own business and so t worry what I or anyone else does. That is relative to gaming.

Stop telling people how to play the game they bought.

I hope ban hammer comes out over the txt talk and personal bashing.

For those still skeptical about whether this being legitimate (even if its been hammered in by other members), go to gran-turismo.com and select the Asian region. Aside from Australia and NZ, they all list the update there.

Noooo I had the choice to play the glitch all night and buy anything I want or get my bspec to do a 24hr race. Why o why did I choose the 24hr race.

Just as I had a GT-R bought and setup perfectly for sub 1.3 second donuts :sly:

I enjoyed the glitch as it made some money to get cars that I wanted quickly and now I can enjoy them.

I spend silly amounts of money in the UCD and tuning cars so everytime I almost had enough for an FGT or R8 etc I used blow it as for 4-5 million I could have far more fun buying lots of cheaper cars rather than just one.

As for the 20 million cars, I even thought they were a waste of money even when I was doing the glitch until I had the cheaper high end cars bought first.

I have about 10 million now that I was going to spend on the F10 or F2007 but would have liked another 20-40 million from the glitch so I could buy the Jag, Miura and GT40.

I was also starting to get bored of it however so I'm no way upset or annoyed they fixed it... rather pleased really and the free money was good while it lasted.

What is annoying though is PSN being down as I wanted to do abit of the Academy time trial tonight.

Now THATS a great reason to get PSN Plus. You could have a PS3 at home and elsewhere and be able to easily continue your savegames.

I agree, it is useful, but so is carrying around a 16GB USB stick for $20

I've heard that someone found out after installing the new patch that when you start to collectively do donuts online at Trial Mountain, right underneath the tree branch with the monkey on it, the monkey eventually starts crapping Credits.
Weird I know, and it has to be synchronized very specifically apparantly, otherwise it won't happen, can someone confirm or at least try it out and supply footage?

Maybe, for once and for all, the exploiters and cheaters can take this as a sign that PD (you know, they guys that MAKE the game) don't want you to cheat, don't want you to play the game 'any way you feel like it' and don't want you to exhaust the game in a few months. It's going to be several YEARS before the next one comes out, and they want you to have something left to do in a year or two's time...

Then, the next time you feel like flaming someone for pointing out that you are 'cheating' or exploiting the game, you can simply flame PD and Kaz... and give us a rest for a while.

And that USB stick won't backup your copy protected gamesaves NOR give you PS Minis, PS1 games or PSN Games let alone the other benefits of PS+.

I remember when the fun in GT used to be the racing, not finding glitches to exploit - I guess 10 years ago people had more patience.

In previous games people didnt have to grind so much if at all. 🤬

Ya know what, I'll play Gran Turismo 3 for the next week.

I must have done 30 million donuts this week! But I made easily 150,000,000. Have every car in the game and most of the alternate colors too! I am glad I could glitch but I'm glad it's over.

Now to get back in the rooms and get these cars some wins.

Glitching doesn't matter, because it's a racing game.

ITS HOW FAST YOU RACE, NO CHEATING WILL EVER MAKE YOU A BETTER DRIVER.

I had just updated to V1.08 and PD had put a stop to the shortcut of the SS7. So I wonder it's mean no longer can get huge payout from the recent SS7 glitch.

That is exactly what the patch is for, to stop people from abusing the payout system.

You post was honestly the largest piece of drivel I have ever read on this site. You very obviously did not understand one word of what I wrote, not do you apparently have the capacity to understand others feelings or opinions.

I will respond to one thing: I could give 2 craps what you or anyone else has in their garage, I just want to enjoy the game ONLINE and off as was intended. When 70% of the online lobbies are money glitch, and theres nowhere to race an X1 without getting bashed into by people who got the game yesterday, that effects everyone.

Otherwise you need to go take a chill pill. Myself and Exorcet have disagreed regarding this in countless posts, but he always reads my posts gives me a measured and thoughtful response on his position. You could learn a lot by shutting up an reading.

Haha, who's writing the definition on "how the game was intended"? You?

Last time I checked PS3 (and every game developer except PD) intended to let you have multiple save files on one username to back up your save files, instead of having to plug a stupid usb drive into a machine that has a 40GB Hard Drive because the game developer decided it doesn't like the way PS3 handles its save files. Guess PD doesn't like things the way they're intended either.

And quit being so melo-dramatic about the lobbies. 70% of the SSR7 rooms are barely money glitches let alone 70% of ALL rooms. I still see people doing tunnel drags etc on the map constantly. So you chill out with the hyperbole drama-queen. And so what if some 5 year old or Noob keeps bashing you. You need to realize IT'S A VIDEO GAME. The very fact you admitted these things bother you proves my point that your whiney little ego gets bruised because you take a ONLINE VIDEO GAME too seriously.

And I love that you single out "there's nowhere to drive an x1 without getting bashed by some noob"....The car is the most extreme vehicle ever put in a video game, it isn't even real, and it's almost impossible not to bash something or someone in it at some point. Why the heck do you think they lowered the times for bronze on the Vettel challenge? Because it was uber-uber difficult for people to run 2 clean laps in the car let alone come in under the time, especially with a controller and not a wheel.

If you don't want to get bashed how bout you don't drive a car that does 0-100 in like 2 seconds and tops out at over 300mph, k? Kharman-ghia or 360 perhaps? Maybe you could make enough friends online so you can invite them all to a race so you have no randoms in the room? Or make a room that says "NO NOOBS" in the title? Man those are hard thing to think of, aren't you glad I did it for you?

And here's one last tip. All the things you complain about, they don't affect "everyone". They don't affect me. They don't affect the people that agree with me. They only affect you and others, because you let them, because you take an online video game personally. It's like you feel there is some higher connection to the game that can be made if you play it purely and truly and this somehow makes you a cooler person or more worthy of something....Which is hiliraious!

Just how much could you misinterpret my post? Of course it's a cheat, it's an unintended exploit (using a powerful car is not), my point was so what? The people who cry at that need to figure out why it is an issue. I've used cheats in hundreds of games, others I haven't. It was always my choice and my call.

So I was in your corner, but this thread seems to have got so heated that people aren't even reading the posts properly now, so I will move on, no worries :)

Er, they can want whatever they want, they can only hope people use the game the way they intended it and structured it.
But I can choose to play the game however I want, if I for example only want to use GT5 to drive the same car around the same track for eternity, that's my choice and fully possible to do if I simply disregard the whole game structure.
PD fixed this glitch because it's a glitch, simple as that (why would they actually care how, and how long, I played this game as long as I bought GT5 and will eventually buy GT6?).
And, not unimportant, a glitch which became quite a nuisance to them due to the consequences it had and therefor logically becoming very popular and a very public embarrasment.

👍 lol

I could go for removing the race glitch, but the whole through the wall and under the board free roam feeling was awesome.

PD please take note. That free roam feeling was great in a GT game.

Anyone get down by the tunnels and loop around? There is q tool both at the tunnel end loop. Park. On/off ramps.

Ok will admit first time through the wall and into the open area between the walls before dropping off. Well first time felt all wrong. Almost reminded me of street racing days when I was a pup. Haaahhahahaha
