These are cool , my only concern is we won't be able to afford the correct cars for the challenges as they progress on .

That's why I'm building up a good amount of money now through doing the license tests, ect. I don't mind grinding a little to build up some cash. I did it in the early days of GT5, so I don't mind doing it now. Plus, through all the grinding, comes about a good amount of experience and feel for the game, building up one's skill set along the way. In GT5, I used to manually grind races for hours on end, which in turn, got me money plus built up my skill set. Anyways, I'll be in on these soon enough. Good luck everyone, the race is on. 👍

Anyone willing to share some set ups for the fit. I'm sitting in the low 2K right now and have a ton to gain. Went with glass reduction and I think mid range turbo. Added some weight as well. Is it worth adding full suspension to get it to turn in more or is it all about braking points and momentum.

Stock tranny was the first thing that had to go. Replaced it with the fixed-ratio 6.

The 86 Quatro is insane for the 15th anniversary, actually wish I didn't use it as it made it to easy. You have to lower the power to 50% AND add weight to get it to meet the requirements but it's still a beast.
I used the Toyota 86, and it was easy with that.

EDIT:
I expect the early ones will all be easy. I beat 550PP max races with the beginning FIT RS at 400PP. I haven't bough any cars that I raced or saved. I did save my game to USB, the bough a Camaro and a few other cars to see what the mods would do, then went USB to game...

Why are the payments so low ? Seasonal Events use to be a good way of increasing your credits
I suspect they want you to buy credits:

EDIT 2:
Anyone know if you have to buy the Mercedes in the third event, or is it a prize someplace?

I hate paying CR1,000,000 for a car I will probably only drive once so early in the game.

I almost cried when I realized I wouldn't be able to do the Focus Seasonal event because anniversary edition car is needed and I bought my game before the anniversary edition was available. Shame on me for not waiting :) Hope the cars can be shared as it was possible in GT5. Other than that I think it's a wonderful game. Driving is nice, scenery is fabulous and the cars are really, really expensive lol

You get one Mercedes AMG Vision for free, at least I did :)
You can buy it as well for 1,000,000 CR.

That was a long day, loading, getting setup, and slogging through those novice and license events, enough of Autumn Ring already! Finally unlocked the Seasonal, pretty easy golds, so enough for one day. But where is the cake? Spoiled on 1,000,000 credit GT5 seasonals.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but those didn't come out immediately.

According to that chart, my GT5 game save is worth about $5142 USD. :D
LOL...

I have almost every car in one. Want to buy it?

With a few more tuning items added managed to get down to the top 750. Still going to play around a bit. When I think it is done I'll post up the tune and setting for anyone else that wants to try.

Nice one Flunky. I focused on putting in lots of power but then putting a big cap on it so it fits the PP criteria, then peak power is on a giant flat plateau all the way through. Although I'm new so still trying to understand what works and what doesn't on here :D

I'd rather have new events every week without getting paid way too much. The GT5 seasonal events completely broke the game, it was way to easy.

Anyone got a setup for the Mercedes TT? I had an invalid 1:05 but had understeer issues and banked a 1:06.7 but that 1:05 is always on the table. I think my tuning is letting me down.

...Also hope these seasonals stay up until I get the game in the mail!
You have until January 2nd.

Does the Stratos in the dealership qualify, for those who don't have the pre-order Stratos? I probably won't be able to get to do these until far later today, so I can't check.

My guess about the low payouts on these seasonals is that they don't want to offset the early game economy for everyone and rather made the seasonals pay about as much as the races you'll be doing when you unlock it. They might increase the payouts in half a year or so, but now they wan't people to experience the game their way.. probably why they put the prices for credits so high, so that no one would buy it to ruin what they had built up ^^

I meant the "bonus reward" that is awarded for first place. On the Fit time trial I got GT Chrome 006-W and from Mercedes I got GT Polarized 001-P.
I guess Anniversary event also gives some GT paint?
Also I wonder if everyone got the same paints as I did, or does the events give random GT paint?

I got a disgusting blue chrome (forgot the number) from the Mercedes event, so i guess it is probably a random pick from a selection of rare paints.

You can put on a setup? I was wondering how 1st place was carrying almost 10 MPH more round every corner but just put it to me being new to the wheel. Unfortunately I'm the most clueless person when it comes to tuning so I won't be able to help anyone, as it is I'm happy with my 1:04.5 even if there is someone beating it on comfort softs.

Managed 13th place in the Honda Fit seasonal event with a 29.9xx.

No added power just removed weight. Added the custom gears and changed the speed from default 124mph to 130mph. Only used 2nd/3rd gear.

Did this using a controller but put a similiar time using my G25.

I love doing super laps, and as for your complaints about low payout, Just thought you should know you can only drive one car at a time (in the distance, a subtle 'challenge accepted' could be heard). If memory serves, at launch GT5 also had a very hard money grind. I have yet to get to the upper rank races but I am hoping they have a decently good payout. Maybe a enduro where they reward you ever so handsomely for finishing a multi hour race. I got the 15th anniv set and I dont see me buying any cars for a while.

The prizes for 1st: Polarized paint, Chrome paint and i forgot what you get for the fit race.

During the seasonals I noticed the friendly ghost (casper) driving around the course and that was fun to race against and then it was my ghost and casper whippin around the turns.

THAT FIT RACE omg!! I love going around that tiny little track.

I remember these forums on GT5 had a rankings link on the first page, Anyone know how to set this up? Only had a quick go at the AMG TT on Saturday. I recommend changing the suspension to fully customizable and making the spring rate something like 14R and 12F and increase the Dampers to around 6-8 also a bit of camber. Changing the LSD to fully customizable should also help along with purchasing the customizable transmission and shortening the gear ratio. Will have another crack tonight after work and post exact settings I am using.
