Too bad i cant find an R1 copy here in Philippines yet so i ended up buying the asian anniversary edition but the codes are i believe region locked i cannot access the free cars and free 1mil credit. :(

Will try out the Vision AMG car next! :)

(EDIT)

Done with the vision AMG for today bone stock (as i dont have any clue how to tune this thing yet)
1:05.377 for now... crappy.... :(

Times were done with a DS3 as i dont have a wheel. Wish to have one this christmas!

Cheers guys! :) 👍

15th anniversary seasonal is lame. if you don't have that car than you cant do event.

at least in GT5 ppl that didn't buy DLC circuits like Spa were able to take part in seasonals/online races (just not able to host)

PS I had Spa in GT5 and I have 15th anniversary car packs, but I find this lame for ppl that bought a game full price but didn't pre-order. gaming is changing in ways that are becoming annoying and insulting to anyone's intelligence. we are sheep ripe for the taking

@paulmac2k9 I must say, your line is really helpful for these time trials , I've gotten just behind you on both of them IIRC

Is it? My Brands lap was the only one I did well lol.

My stock fit lap was half decent but crap.

Ah ok. :P I never really put time into them though, The Fit and Merc were 1 lap then quit, after "reding" the first hundred laps.

The one on Brands with the Focus had me do 20+ laps just because it was so fun!

Complete and utter bs ain't it, if you find a friend who has already got the 15th aniversary then you are able to sign on there account on your ps3 and download the extras.
Can only be done once though mind, still yet to find someone who has not given there's away that is willing to share yet aha , gutted, brands is my favourite track

Is it just me or is the Merc VGT car very easy to lock up under braking? I can't drive that thing without ABS for the life of me, even with 1/1 balance...
Not just you. That Merc understeers way more than it should. Still stupid fun to chuck around Matterhorn! I managed a 1:07.7 and am calling that good enough. :)

I am REALLY happy that these are one-time (?) and that the payout is so low. 5's balance of credits in general was pretty much forced to be a total mess, just one of the many things 6 has really fixed.

Got the golds relatively easily... should probably try to improve my times, these were a lot more fun than the wretched Super License... I actually can't wait for them to add some stupid eurotrash event (Veyron) to completely ruin it at all.

I hope the rewards for the next ones are some neat exclusive items or even just higher-priced ones! 787B event, please!

The payouts don't bother me either, although I'm really hoping they increase it for online play, preferably so it pays considerably more than offline. Why do we get paid so much less for racing against more challenging opponents?

You've driven a real one then, TB? :sly:

I think for the seasonal time trials they should give extra bonus credits if you get 1st place, then top 10, then top 250. That would give more of an incentive to be competitive in them rather than just racing for the sense of achievement.

Another thing I have noticed with the game, apart from it being quieter than GT5, is that when using the buttons on a controller, turning appears sharper, more jittery even. When doing a race with a Merc (last race of a series) I had to use the paddles for the first turn.

Ha ha, couldn't agree less. Those at the top will nearly always be at the top and should require less monetary incentive to remain there. For them it is not the money as they will always have enough through winning and winning and winning the races which come up. Their single goal is to be high up on the leaderboard, that is all the incentive they will ever need.

And as in GT5 they will always have the right cars for the races and the right tunes.

Either we all get better credits or no one does. In my opinion.

How exactly were people able to take place in online races (Spa/Motegi) without haven't ever buying it? I didn't know PD created seasonals with DLC tracks...?

I'm just saying that it would be nice to get some credits for the amount of time we put into seasonal TTs.

Fair enough, but it's all relative. Some like Cargo are able to spend a great deal of time here for reasons we all understand, while many others simply can't because of work and/or family or other commitments.
I don't necessarily think it would be fair to pay those who can spend longer hours racing more than those who can't.

And there would be many with poorer skills who will never even reach the first 5,000 places even though they spend more time racing than some who are at the top and who spend quite a bit less time.

I agree with Hall, the system is better left as it currently is.
Actually all that is required is for more non TT seasonals like we had in GT5 where lower PP values earned greater payouts.

On my GTP_Sentinel account, I reached 111th!

Sentinel by the way, is me.

EDIT: Now in 98th. :D

Yer agree to a extent, the Time Trial 75 on GT5 I finished 11th, defiantly had more in the tank, but sometimes, I think, what's the point? I'm convinced I'm not the only one
Like qualifying for GT academy national finals, 1st was the same outcome as say 20th odd place,
I used to get well into GT5 prologue and only first was enough but have tryed to find the passion for it again to want to never give up until first, but can't anymore, that and the competition is tougher now, and a lot of of the time trials are relying on a good setup, which is something I've never been good with, doing setups.

Also the golds are so stupidly easy to get, like the licenses practically ever test you can better by a second or more, even on a 13 second run!
Some of these your around 10 seconds ahead of gold?!! On a minute of less run?

I went back to gt1 last month and some of the tests it took me a while just get gold, it was tough! Was on the pad mind but ud never beat any test by anymore than about .4-.5 really.

I must sound like a right disgruntled moaner, don't mean to be the game is really good on the whole, haven't got into a game this much for a couple of years.
But lack of tuning is abit disappointing and also no option to do proper drag timed runs, etc, likeofficially timed.
