There was a thread about it by I want to say dr_slump a while back. Basically the available gear ranges have changed slightly so those settings with a given gear stretched one way or the other to the max won't be achieved.

Most of the issues you saw with gearing before were due to people using different states of tune on the car rather than an actual issue between game versions.

Got cha, yeah the slightest change to performance parts changes the ranges. I'll be certain to have mine checked, but think it may not be an issue because I don't use max or min values.

I can tell with how close this event is shaping up to be that I either need to take a crash course on gear tuning or else find a friendly gear guru to help me get those final couple mph and tenths on the lap!

Slowly getting my final choice of weapons narrowed down.

The Swede has 2 too few doors and is a bit lighter than what we're playing with.

Unless you're talking about the S60 in which case it's missing a door and I think is a little heavier... Or it may be roughly the same, I don't know.

Hmm coulda sworn the one I was thinking of was a 5 door hatch around 1540kg stock...course I'm currently at work so could be all confused!

The S60 is roughly that weight I think but it's a sedan. My car isn't that heavy in stock form (though at present it weighs as much as most stock FDs with only a small amount of ballast).

Edit: That'd be C30, Assassin. And it should be quite decent.

Exactly! And I'm still sad about it!

Thats a pity, I was hoping someone would come through with a quick SRT4.

I tried a SRT4 and remember that I did a 2.02, but 2.01 should be possible. It's not that bad, but still slower than the Integra.

Played with so many cars the past few days that I'm probably getting confused.
Oh well slowly narrowing my choices down...some very interesting possibilities if you've been collecting oddballs from the UCD...not to mention some overlooked gems in the NCD.

Yeah as I said before my beautiful collection of SRT4s will have to sit this one out. The numbers just don't quite work out for it, especially since its a challenge to get turning anywhere close to the way it should.

I will use the standard GTP online racing rules, which I can link when I am not on my phone. Basically, no wall contact, two wheels on the track/rumbles and no SRF allowed.

To specifically answer, no, I would not cut over the concrete, not completely. Two wheels on it is my norm but if I think I have three up I scrub it as dirty and try again.

If you run in the practice area, it will red out your time on "advantage" corners. I think that's rules enough, IMO.

I was going to submit a tune but I am no where close to making times that are competitive. So I believe I will put the wrench down for this one, and don my helmet and gloves. 👍

hmmm…aside from the 'Adrenaline Junkie' duo and AssassinTuner, is everyone just using the DC5 Integra? Cuz although that'll save the testers a fair amount of money, it'll be quite a boring line up……

Nope already told you that I will definitely not be using the Integra. I know there is likely to be at least one other non Integra in the mix as well so break out the pocket book and get ready to start working over some cash! Besides in the end I'm helping to defray all you test drivers costs anyways so...shut up and just drive the 🤬 cars already!

Just joking about the shut up part! I for one like to hear as much feedback as possible.

And... I might sneak in a last minute entry as well, just to prove a point, but my focus is on the Adrenaline Junkie tune until, it's completely done. Down to a 2:00.1xx and stilllllll going.

Sure rub in the fact that "you" get a vacation while most of the rest of us are stuck grinding for chips.

As for what I'm using I'm in final acceptance trials right now on about a half dozen vehicles. Only about half of which are in the NCD...so may have to ship out mine to the testers if I go with one of my more unusual ones!

Better watch out Adrenaline you know what they say about chips and addictions...can't take just one that's how it always starts. They tell themselves they can handle it, I mean just one isn't so bad is it? But then they see the next one sitting there in the UCD looking so innocent but quietly promising to feed that Adrenaline rush...and next thing you know its not just 3 or 4 FFs in your garage but 30 or 40...nope I think we need to implement some professional intervention immediately!

Lol. I already have the competition winner in my garage.
There's only 1 car I'm looking for from the UCD to tune, with 1 car as a 'back up' purchase if I see it.
I've already done all the research on which 2 cars I'm willing to tune, they either pop up, or don't. Unfortunately for me, I'll only tune cars that I would drive in real life, so since someone already went with the FTO, only 2 FF cars remaining that I'd even be willing to buy.
Either way, me and RJ have a car that will be a contender, so I'm not concerned with an individual entry. If I find either of the 2 cars, I'll buy them, put 5 laps on each and see if they can even get within a reasonable margin of the progress RJ and I have made. If one can, I'll tune it. Black and white for me, lol.
