Wallbanger's Ring Masters Challenge (7/21/11, new challenge 10/17/11)

I'm pretty much out of this challenge...I cannot physically beat 7:50 in any of my cars, and the penalty system is going to make me scream very very soon. Maybe I'll return, maybe not, but I really am not a good enough driver for this challenge. Sorry to dissapoint everyone

Well the good news Dragonthing is that this is an open ended challenge meaning that until either everyone loses interest in trying to beat the challenges presented here, the Moderators decide to lock it for some reason or ole Harvey Wallbanger here drops dead you can keep coming back to try your hopefully improving skills. No need to rush as this is supposed to be fun. If its not fun give it a break and try again another day.

My problem is my cars. The Copen has the most power but lacks the ability to use it, the Cappucino is the lightest and is astonishingly quick but just can't do fast, the Cervo has the most insane handling I have ever witnessed, like a mini X2010, but again can't do fast, and the OFC-1 still understeers like a biatch. And I just don't like the AZ-1, it looks...wrong. Plus my last AZ-1 was a floaty piece of poo >_<

I may try thr FF challenge though, I think I can beat the 7:00 mark easily in a few of my cars

I really don't want to have to move to one of the FF Keis, but yeah, the Cappy just won't cut it, at least not with me behind the wrenches and wheel. It's a lot of fun though, which I tend to value more these days since I've lost pace compared to the aliens out there from GT2 and GT3 times...

I tuned a handful of other cars, so I'll be taking them out during the week to see what they can manage. One hit 158 BHP, which I assume will overcome it's weight penalty on such a power-favouring track.

The Daihatsus (both the Cuore/Mira TR-XX and the Copen Active Top) have an advantage with their 4 cylinder engines they can get up to around 200 HP and create a lot of torque to get them moving. Add in the very light weight for the Cuore/Mira TR-XX and their hard to compete with.

Oh, and also, I'd like to sponsor the challenges too would it be fair to offer the birthday ticket of their choice to winners? And this is, ofcourse, if I get a little 'sponsored by' banner ^_^

Unless there is a significant advantage in time one way or the other it doesn't matter. Just get a picture and post it when you have a winning green lap.

Well then maybe I have an idea...Since I have a few classics floating around, how about a pre-1970's challenge? I'll have a drive of a few of my cars and then subtract maybe half an hour per lap work out a good PP limit and get back to you...

These are my own tunes.

Then I applied Dragon´s Copen tune to my Copen and tried to catch my Copen Ghost.
Didn´t happen because Dragon´s gearsettings were a bit too short and the car doesn´t liked the slow corners.
