Will be testing on my own there sometime in the next few days. If I have time after the Friday 90s FIA GT/LM race from Indy, I'll slip in a test run there.

I've managed to get the Toyota into the 1:13's, with the possibility of lowering it into the 12's. So hopefully it should be a more competitive prospect here than it was in Suzuka.

Glad to see the community working together to organize test sessions, somewhat enlightening and a satisfying feeling that things are working,

Sorry I couldn't attend my life has been chaotic to say the least of recent,

It is great to see, and like richyboy said a few days ago this has to be the best racing series ive even been in, Big thank you to everyone in the series for making all this possible

Sorry my mistake :) 1:20.2 :)

That is a quick time for GTE, my PB 1.21.3, I seem to have some understeer round Laguna, need to work on the front end in the next test session, thanks for hosting on Thursday Plotnik 👍

I did a 1:20.1xx but plotnik does seem to be looking good for long runs, so is Pakos

See You Gentlemen! :)

ROUND 3,
LAGUNA SECA,
DRIVERS BRIEFING

First of all, We the stewards can't believe how the community has developed to the strength over time and what has taken place of the last 2 weeks is incredible, well done guy's, We didn't expect it to get to this level,

Back to business,

Track: Laguna Seca.
Laps: 99

Carry over from round 2,

Warm up lap,
There will be one full warm up lap, Please maintain gaps at our desired distance, we have put diagrams up on the OP, penalties will be handed out to people not being compliant, We will however be somewhat graceful in places such as tight chicanes or where it just isn't safe to maintain 2 wide rolling,

Penalties will be sorted accordingly to the incident required, most people were very honest at Suzuka, There is no point trying to hide something we will find it, (ANFD, We still feel awful for the 40 minute penalty we gave you for your infringements at Indy regarding your tires, WEC Feeder series for those who are unaware of where this is from)

Pit lane lines, As I recall there not being a pit line on upon pit exit, and with the AI literally forcing you to drive virtually across the racing circuit, We request that you pull your car back to the left side of circuit until you reach the kerbing for turn 2,
This is to ensure that no one gets run over exiting the pits, and will also prevent malicious blocking from people exiting the pits,

The front straight, Past the start finish line there is a kink that goes over the hill into turn one,
This is where the pit lane and circuit run parallel, This is the only out of bounds section of the circuit, We understand that this section is blind and the heat of a battle you can find yourself entirely within the pitlane,
The rule, If yo find yourself entirely in pit lane please lift until you return to the racing surface, multiple offences will receive a 20 second penalty,

Reminders, Number 1, it is the LMP drivers duty to find a safe way passing the GTE cars, here at Laguna Seca this is imperative that this is done, Laguna is possibly the tightest permanent road course we visit,

If patience is exerted by the LMP driver in this instance penalties will be severe, to the point where they can get the double whammy of avoidable contact and causing a collision,

Any queries just ask, and enjoy some video's from laguna seca,

Its a bit late in coming but here the intro vid

Damn nice 👍 The music really suits Japanese advertising,

Good to see a GT500 championship where the yellow hat Supra isn't useless

OP updated, no real changes, just some much needed housework and I decided to pretty it up with Gippone's pictures from Le Mans, The penalties section is updated mostly, don't fret! This was a long overdue update that continually got overlooked, you guy's are doing a superb job on track 👍 so don't be terrified of what may appear to be new, I assure they are not and have been in place since round one.

Going to cast a Vote, The 3 hour race has been over looked in the OP, last season it was Spa, We can do that again, but its rather early in the calendar,

I'm thinking Motegi, but the applicable choices are,

Spa,
Motegi,
Daytona,
Nurb GP/F,

Cast your vote between now and the race this week, after the race I will tally things up and announce from there,

Nurb GP/F, is my vote... could be very interesting finish to a season to have double points at the end

Motegi - We've had an enduro in Europe this season, let's have a Japanese one as well and everyone does long races at Daytona...

I'm kinda with Matt, nothing like another double point round right at the end to completely ****-up people's hard fought championships. That and I'm not really a huge fan of any of those races being longer... Bring back the N24 Layout!
