Gallo in that Alfa is pretty much unbeatable in all those 600PP races wit stock cars...at least for my driving skills
Winning in a stock 600pp car is out of the question at any skill level, IMO. The distance between you and the leaders is too far. There aren't enough laps. You start last. The A.I. blocks you, and your main opposition is vastly overpowered. I had to do unholy things in the name of PP optimization ( ) to get my fastest non-bugged 600pp car to win here.

This race could be a good excuse to explore stock hyper cars if you have them.

I strongly suspect a stock Valkyrie would curb stomp this event. The Aston Martin Vulcan should be strong here too - it has a lot of power and downforce, and I believe it comes with Racing Hard tires standard.

Some of us want the full challenge at all times.
I used to get full challenge treatment, but then I realized, I don't drive like that at all in real life. So I leave ABS and traction control on at the lowest level, exactly like my real-life Subaru STI currently sitting in my garage that I often took to Laguna Seca and local events.
In real life, traction control and ABS saved me from repair shop countless times. I just try to replicate the car as closely relate to what I pull out from my garage as much as I can. Theoretically, you still can get very good lap time driving at the edge of your ABS/Traction limit. Most new cars nowaday can't even turn off ABS without physically removing the hardware. Unless, you have an old BMW M2, then it is in a menu on your screen.

I'm wondering just how fast a maximum-tune Renault 4 can do the Alsace Village race...

60,000cr for winning, plus 50% for CRB is 90,000cr for a two-lap race. If you can manage 90-second laps, that's 30,000cr/min or 1.8m/hr.

And it's against just seven AI cars, at a pretty wide track with no obvious track limits issues...

I'm not sure what is going on, I didn't get this week's Challenges on the east coast of the US on Thursday the 7th of March
That's because, as announced two weeks ago and covered extensively in this thread (and the corresponding article I posted today), they've moved to Fridays and will arrive for you in about 4hr40 when midnight lands.

Came up with a stupid strategy for Daytona that actually works on hard difficulty.

  • Hyundai VGT (non Gr. 1 - yes, the EV).
  • Pit every 3 laps, so laps 3, 6 and 9.
  • Switch from racing hards to mediums on lap 6, skip the tyres during the other stops.
  • Recharge fully on laps 3 and 6, only need about 30% for the last lap. Even though there is no UI that suggests so, you can actually interrupt the recharge by pressing X while the car is recharging, which allows to cut down the final pit stop.

The car is stupid fast and can make up the pit stop delta within the 3 laps between the pit stops. My fastest lap was a sub-1:27 and got a total race time of 15:45 and that was a very messy run with several penalties.

Got the CRB in 3 out of 5 races.
Got a Porsche VGT from the 6*😫

While I understand where you're coming from, it all just comes down to confidence and ability. I've been practicing car control, doing track days and drifting for many years now, and don't want levels of control taken from me.

For instance, I was tracking my cousins Cadillac ATS-V last year and before one session we had forgot to turn the TC fully off (it has multiple levels). When I pushed the car into oversteer through a left hand corner the car violently cut power at a pretty good angle forcing me to then recover from something unexpected. It was fine, but if I had turned it off like I should have that turn would have been a satisfying drift, but it ended up being an ugly, slow tank-slapper. The car has to be stopped to turn it completely off, so a couple laps were done with it on so then I had to cut back on my limits to fall under the threshold where TC would intervene. It slowed us down a lot, and stepped in frequently when I still had complete control of the car.

Car control is not a mystery, in real life or this game. Top players prove that TC is a hindrance to ultimate speed and control. In the moments it's ever accidentally been on in the game I notice it immediately because it's screwing with my throttle inputs. My right foot is conditioned to be my traction control, and even though I know there are some really great modern TC systems out there, they don't beat me doing it myself.

Sure, on the street I don't bother to turn it off in my S6, but if I'm driving it spiritedly on a back road it's off, and I have the ability to control it well outside of traction limits... and would do the same in your excellent WRX. My own Impreza sees more dirt than pavement and I keep it as loose as possible when possible, and I pulled the ABS fuse out of it a looong time ago. My RX7 doesn't even know what traction control is, haha.

I appreciate where people are coming from when they use TC, and want for everyone to use it if they choose to, but I don't need or want it. It is a barrier to me gaining ability and having fun. Car control IRL and in game is a skillset to be learned, and if there are artificial things getting in the way of what you're doing it's much harder to reach your true limits.

Suzuka I've won with a stock AMG GT R and now a stock F430 on hard. I think it's possible in the recommended car too, but you'd have to get lucky with him getting stuck behind cars all the way to the end. If he's in the lead by the end of lap 2 you aren't going to catch up.

I can't see the weekly challenges.
Updated last week, been on GT every day since, no rest mode overnight or anything (this messed up rewards or me one week).
The green box for the challenges is just not there??

Anybody else ever had this problem?

On the Ring race the Alfa reaches a top speed of 340 km/h on the final straight. That car is not stock and well over 600 pp.
Yeah the Suzuka race got me also thinking about the Euro CC 600 at the Ring with virtually one OP opponent and 15 rolling obstacles. For me this event is the most missed potential in the whole game:

- why is it euro only? Unnecessarily limits the car choice down significantly
- why only have one very fast opponent over the recommended pp limit? Good challenge, but only because of the roadblocks you have to pass before
- why do 2 laps around the Ring pay out 25k? To this day, I'm sure they missed a decimal point. Make it 250k at it would be one of the most played vanilla events. I#m very sure that if you recreate this as a custom race, you will get payed better

Sorry for the slight offtopic rant. But imo those points kinda apply to the Suzuka race aswell. For me, those races, where one opponent is very OP, just have this strange feeling and I wanted to express it somewhere.

Edit: That said, it will be very interesting to see, if this particular event will ever be part of the weekly challenges. If they add it like it is now and don't correct the payout, we have confirmation that the 25k were always intended.

New one make event: Renault R4 GTL One Make. Pretty sure there are also other new one make specials in the following weeks.

Gr. 1 Prototype race in Daytona is easy peezy with the "regular" LM55 VGT.

Ferrari race in Barcelona done using an F12Berlinetta.

Schwarzwald League in St. Croix accomplished using the 992 GT3 RS.

The 600 pp European Race in Suzuka remained, however. Used a Chiron for the overkill.

Is it possible to win the R4 race with a stock R4? Finished 4th, 5s behind leader on normal difficulty.

I could drive a bit better but to the point of getting first, I doubt.

Wanted to know the same. I tuned the R4 after i already lost time on the first uphill corners.

Done. Got a Chiron for it. Saw the McLaren P1 in the Roulette, i think. I want that car, even if I don't know where to race it.

@Lomic @KAlex122

I don't think it's possible to win the R4 race with a full stock car. There might be race constellations that allow to get first but that is speculation on my side.
I tried the stock R4 as a first attempt on hard race settings but I couldn't get closer than about 5 seconds to the lead car.
I then used a little bit of Nitrous ( 10 % of the bottle at 70 % output ) ... and that was enough to win the race. ;)

I can not for the life of me put a nitrous kit worth 100k in a R4 worth 24k 😁

I went through a softer way buy reducing the weight of my R4 "rally" and adding a low RPM turbo and a racing exhaust. 58HP and 100kg less on the scale, I smoked the competition this time

Tried the BVLGARI VGT on Suzuka, was too easy.

I just did the race with SS tyres(and full tune up,483PP) and without trying too hard...took me 5.05 minutes(sub 5 min is definitly possible with some practise and/or racing tyres), but I didn't get the clean race bonus...not sure if there is one, can't remember making any big mistakes...still 720 000/hour isn't the worst payout!

Anyone else having problems with reward tickets not popping? I have completed 4 out of 5 of the weekly races and no rewards. Afraid to do the 5th race because I do not want to get screwd out of my 6 star car ticket. And by the way, my daily marathon ticket also did not pop today. I uninstalled the game then reinstalled. That did not help, I assume because the game is server based. Anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

Eh, I might actually do all five events, if only because I could likely use the credits for the 330 P4 that’s currently in stock. So I think for the Schwarzwald League race, I’ll use a BMW M3 (E92) that I like using, and for the Gr.1 Prototype Series race at Daytona, I’ll use the Hyundai N2025 VGT Gr.1, which I had used to clear this race previously.

EDIT: Actually, I’m not sure if my E92 can make it to 700PP, now that I think of it. I’ll try tinkering with the settings, and if it can’t get close to 700, I might use my Porsche 911 (997) GT3 RS instead. Or I could just use my Porsche Taycan, which I had recently used for an older weekly challenge featuring the Porsche Cup.

It's an often-reported issue. It's definitely triggered by adjusting your console's time zone, but other causes are unknown. There's nothing you can do to fix it and you won't get your tickets no matter what.

I think you nailed it with the time zone changing. Did that last night to start playing early since I was bored. Getting penalized I guess. Any timeframe as to when everything goes back to normal?

Fantastic set of races, so glad to see it back! 100k, 150k and 6 star ticket which gave me a Zagato which I sold for about Cr. 705k, not bad. Won every race but the Gr.1 wasn't so easy, won by about 0.5 second with the Peugeot, had an off and a 3 second penalty.... I just don't get the pit lane procedure at Daytona!

Lesson learned, I guess

I've always found it to reset by the following week, however the various US time zones are also changing this coming Sunday so you might encounter issues with the next set too...

Definately lesson learned! Has anyone attempted to play from a different console or a more severe tactic: resetting the entire console? I can attempt to play on wife's console tomorrow to get daily marathon ticket. But also willing to do the reset if need be.
