Called it once again. Time to Pull out the Ol' Alfa Once more, just gotta figure out what livery I want to use this time...

Not the most interesting week, but pretty easy races all around with a decent choice of cars. Le mans with the Hypercars is quite good, fun to see the pace difference between the cars that are good on the straights versus the ones that are good in the corners. DTM was the usual, used all my cars on the others so back to the Alfa, pretty easy win even with one of the AI 15 seconds up the road from the rest. Nice time of day for the first two races, even if they are a little short.

What a pleasant way to spend a Friday morning. Normal difficulty.

Goodwood - Honda S800 '66 - That's a fun little car. I upgraded the tires to CS. That gave it enough PP to take an easy win. First ticket obtained.

Road Atlanta - Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 - The Camaro was better here than I expected. I upgraded the tires to SS and pulled the bumpers off, but otherwise stock. That was enough for P2. That Cosworth just blasted off into the distance on the straight. I just couldn't catch it. Good enough for the second check mark.

Colorado Springs - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96 - Some good fun in the dirt! I'm not sure the car needed it, but I added all the sports-level upgrades to get the car into the 530s PP. That made for an easy win. Second ticket obtained.

Le Mans - Lambourghini Veneno '14 - This car was a handful, especially under braking. Not a surprise, though, because it is also an absolute rocket. I upgraded the tires to SS. It took a couple aborted attempts to figure out how far back I needed to brake (hint: more than you think). Good fun. Easy win. Check mark number four completed.

Monza - Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI 93 - I keep picking the 155 for these races because I'm not great at tuning. It was an easy win on RM tires. I wish there were more pre-tuned racers from this era to pick from. Final ticket obtained.

I used a Honda S800 for the Sunday Cup, a Sierra Cosworth for the American FR, and a Honda NSX (2017) for Hypercars.

I’m saving the other two races for tomorrow so I can get another daily marathon in

Enjoyed the DTM but all in all an easy weekend. I'll make it more challenging by going down in PP.
Hypercars was too easy with the FXXK. It was over by the end of the second lap. I'll reattempt with something weaker.

I did the Sunday Cup Classic in the 2000GT (conveniently available in the LCD).

Not a car I'd driven before in game or even really given much thought to, but it has a really nice engine note - I was surprised by it.

I never realized until a couple days ago that RACECAR is a palindrome - a very very cool one I think.

Stock LFA on RS tires in the Hypercar race was fun and close. Won it by a couple of seconds over the Lambo who was pulling me in. Will try the Pagani tomorrow.

Stock AMG Black Series on Sport Soft was a blast. Took the lead just before the last 2 chicanes.

If I do end up doing that last race for the Bonus Menu focused on the X2019 Nations Cup and proceed to start the Bonus Menu about the Evolution Meeting, I’ll likely use an Escudo-swapped Lancer Evo X - though I do admit, I don’t think I’ve actually tried driving it yet! Then for that last race featuring classic DTM racers, I’ll just go for using the Alfa Romeo 155 TI.

If I had a dollar for everytime someone brought that up...well I would still be nowhere near Jeff Bezos financially but it is funny how it's happen at least around 20 times

Honestly, I was able to pull it off just with a stock Evo. AI is sorta worse on the dirt then on asphalt so it was just a matter of carrying more speed and being precise with where to get around the cars.

24 Heures du Mans Racing Circuit – Hypercar Parade and Autodromo Nazionale Monza – Special Event are both good events ran them a few times each. Monza was good to run some of the EV cars that you cant race on most endurance events because their batteries go flat to get some use out of them, its also good to run some of the older race cars always a fun race and a good pay-out 225k for 12-15mins. The hypercar race is great to run some cars at full tune and high speeds.

I have tuned my Gr.3 Road Car and also found out there is an engine swap (LS7 Rampage) for this but did not install, just drove it like it was hot...

I am not a big fan of dirt or driving in it....

Another good use of a well tuned and used Gr.3 Road Car...

They said Classic so I drove my oldest Classic....a bit tuned up and widened....

I finished all events for this week, and earned all the rewards. The most enjoyable one for me was the Monza race.

I'm thinking of actually changing what cars I plan to use for the Hypercar Parade and the Special Event, to respectively a Bugatti Chiron and a Mercedes-Benz 190E Evo II that's been swapped. I thought it'd be very appropriate to drive a Bugatti at Le Mans, plus my Chiron in particular is almost entirely stock, barring a power limiter and ballast that I've tinkered with to get it just below 700 PP on Sport Softs. (Though I do wonder if even 600 PP would suffice...)

And while it seems likely I'll be using the Mercedes for the Special Event, I'm also thinking of taking a higher-mileage M3 (E30) Sport Evo that I haven't touched since buying, and giving it both a widebody and an engine swap, both of which would put me back just barely over 200k credits. Though on the other hand, 200k credits saved is 200k credits earned, so I may as well just go with the Mercedes - especially since I definitely recall winning that AMG GT3 engine from a ticket instead of buying it.

Finally, while I still need to do the one remaining race I have for the X2019 Nations Cup bonus menu at Sardegna A before starting the Evolution Meeting menu, I did take my Escudo-swapped Lancer Evolution X, and managed to get it down to just below 600 PP, though I was entirely unable to get it below 550. Still, it sounds fun to use, either for the Evolution Meeting, the WTC 600, or for the Race of Turbo Sportscars.
