Well, I've not participated in one of these for some time.

Here's my lap, if you're interested.

Tunnel: Brake near inside, keep along wall as tightly as possible, maintaining good acceleration. Minimum speed: 83

Clip inside rumblestrip of right hand turn so that I'm in the middle lane: Min: 97 at point before braking.

Brake down to 58-60 mph, rev if necessary.

Turn after T1. Enter from the far left and throttle lift so that the car will go as smoothly as I can get it to. Min: 87

Left hairpin: Brake at or a bit before last blue turn sign, slowing to as low as 42, preferable 44/45.

Clip rumblestrips.

When near the final braking point, brake to about 85 before the right hand side rumblestrip, then again to about 64 before the penultimate right turn, lifting to avoid clipping wall, if necessary. 3rd gear not used.

This is basicaly what ive got so far ecept a few points.

On the part after the tunnel im not sure what you mean by Min: 97 at point before braking. but i am able to get up to about 103 before i need to brake.

and i know the the left hairpin is killing me. i cant seem to take it with out sliding a bit and my speed usually drops down to around 36.

I want you to beat everyone and be able to supply a replay to back it up (you'd definitely be elevated if that one happened).

Yeah, the first turn is the part that usually kills me. I usually drop to the middle of fourth gear to hit the right, and have to brake into high third to reverse the turning direction of the car (I wish I didn't have to brake there, as it's costing me up to .5 seconds). The left-hand hairpin I usually try to take at mid-high second, and with T8's it slides a little but is very easy to retake control of. How fast do you take the wide chicane after T1 and the hairpin that ensues that? I think that's where I'm losing a good deal of my time...

well for me, i always try to take that wide chicane after T1 around high 80s up to 90 mph...
while at the hairpin... i try to take the turn at 45.. and then try to get an exit speed around high 50s up to 60 mph
i hope that helped, good luck

i wish i could submit a replay but i dont have a gs/xp. but even if you dont believe my time(not saying you dont) i know whether or not its true so i can still take my joy in knowing how i stack up against others.

Yeah. It surprised me as hippies shouldn't talk like that.
Unless he's a poser hippy. You know the ones that show up to there Phish shows in there Mercedes Benz and flashin mom's credit card.

Your not like that are you hippyneil?

You gotta keep it real maaan. Peace, pot and microdot.

Woohoo, new times baby, new times, I was so pumped up after I finished the lap, and note, the 3rd sector is the best one I had done so far:mischievous:

T1:0'33.621
T2:0'58.509

Thank god I managed a lap like this one, now I'll be a bit calmed that I have a good lap, but I know my time can still be beaten this weekend(gotta study hard, on Monday I can improve).

But who knows what times under their sleeves has the top gunners like zeroh, ODP or Kent:confused:

Thats what im runnin too :)

Finally sat down and put some laps in tonight. even tho i should be sleeping, gotta get up in....just under 6 hours for work :( but best i managed w/ a half hours session was 34.0/59.2. I have had a 33.9 on a blown lap, and not quite sure what my best t2 has been, but if i can get a 58.9 out of it i'll be happy. The cars still breaking in so im hoping a few extra horses will help me reach my goal. I dont see any times like Heinrich is getting happening for me tho. those are just fast. wonder what car hes usin :odd:

I previously was running the evo vii w/ a racing flywheel, and sport suspension, as thing thing has tons of body roll. But opted for the weight reduction and racing intercooler instead, hoping that being lighter and having more power would be able to overcome the crappy stock suspension, and it did, taking about a second off my previous time so far :) Cripes. ive gotta get to bed

My god, how are you kids pulling these sub 34s? I tried for about a half hour and the closest I got was a 34.0xx. Well, maybe I just need some more practice. I'll try the Evo VII, see if that goes any better.

Min=minimum speed, not best speed. I can get 103, also.

Right up ther along side RTFM is:

sorry i just woke up, 5 and half hours of sleep = no good :(

That's practically 6 hours, that's way too much. You're wasting your life sleeping! :(

the 25k one, yes. 353hp, thereabouts. I might have messed up on the hairpin and exiting the last chicane.

you have me beat for bhp, I think I'll give the Lancer a shot (even though I can't stand them). The 25k one with a tune that will put it near 350bhp, is this with or without oil?

Lancer Evolution VII RS(J)
T1: 0:34.611
T2: 0:59.831

It is a faster car, and is entirely 2 seconds faster than the Camaro was.
