Bought my favorite car today 😊

Got gold in all of the first 3 licences. Also on 2 more missions including that one where you have to slip stream to 154.3 which at think they have patched 0 wind in.

Finished golding International A, now on the doorstep of the hardest licence, Super. Yay me.

Still pretty disappointed I won’t be able to afford any of the cool cars ever again, but did some custom races that turned out to be quite fun. Discovered you can do 20-car grid start AI races on dirt courses which is flipping awesome. Did some races with a Subaru WRX and a Gr.B Toyota on dirt.

Man the core game is so good when everything works and it’s just simply enjoying a car. Why did they have to kill the longevity of it with the last updates?

Finally bought the Porsche 919 and tested it in time trial around Nurburgring to see if I could beat my buddy's lap time (he plays on Assetto Corsa with a wheel, so a bit different but who cares, just a fun challenge between us).

Managed to get a 6min21, rather happy for a first try of this crazy car. I am sure I can shave many seconds of that lap time, especially when I see how well that thing turns and accelerate like crazy, I was not ready 😅

Oh and I beat his time too 😁

Gave the Yellow B'stard a new coat of paint , may have to come up with a new nickname for it now though

Earnt 1.2 Million cr only did 384 miles , so did a few upgrades to various cars , only 19 million CR left , jeez I need to watch my spending :dopey:

I am playing 10 lap Trial Mountain and Laguna Seca using Audi Quattry Rally car and I get total 65k+50k. Took 40 minutes to play before I sleep for work.

If I want to catch the McLaren's 18.500.000Cr using races that resulting me in 115.000Cr. then I need 160 days/less than 6 months to reach that value.

I did what I wanted to do yesterday, but had to grind all day first to afford the car.

Anyway, my first attempt at 3h endurance race in the Sauber C9 was epic

I made plenty mistakes, getting used to the car in varying conditions. It's not my favorite GR.C car but is still better than everything else in the campaign :) One thing to note is, it doesn't like medium speed corners, very hard to turn.

The VGTs are hard to catch, XJR-9 is the runt of the litter

And for 3.5 hours of my time, setting it up and completing the race

That's the weather program I used, gonna refine it a bit more for next attempt.

I had it set up wrong, forgot to add time compression so it was 3h real time, no night. But the race finished while the sun was getting low, so was very pretty.

The AI drives by different rules. They can do 5 laps on softs, that up there is my 3rd lap on softs... While having to fuel save last lap as the lap indicator lies as usual (left with 3.5 laps indicated, had to short shift and go to map 3 in the final lap to make it). The AI doesn't have the foresight to change tires while weather is approaching on the radar, and drives very slow when caught in the rain. Yet after they get rain tires on, they are much faster than you can be on the same tires. They seem to have a lot more grip, but do spin out regularly.

Intermediate tires are good up to 210 kph when the rain meter nudges up to the 3rd segment. It never seems to go higher then a little blue line into the 3rd segment (in torrential rain) but when you hit 220 kph on intermediate tires in that state it's instant aquaplaning. On heavy wets you can go full speed, but they feel less grippy, more prone to snap oversteer compared to intermediates with the same rain conditions. Intermediates better cornering but capped top speed.

Epic race, next time with full day/night cycle and more variation in weather. R01 doesn't seem to do anything for example, just looks boring. I also don't know how to get more random rain. I got a bit at the start with varied rain but then it turned into solid lines again, on/off. First time I tried in GR.3 with all random weather, I didn't get a single drop of rain. It would be nice to have more control over the weather and a weather radar that extends further than about a minute and a half before it hits you.

Sven goes directly for the hardcore mode. Incredible.

Got the silver at S-10, that was also first finished lap in this hell license.
Was driving extremely slow whole backstraight (before chicane) bcs I don't see where dry line is...
Don't know will I be able to gold it, whenever I have good lap (or not), I spin at that part.

Also finished first set of missions and started second one.

Did High Speed Ring Circuit Experience.

Took some photos and did "route 66" (all together, not today ofc) in km driven.

Did the WTC700 championship in the Red Bull Jr, such a fun car to drive.
Changed the oil in the Red Bull Jr as it had deteriorated from so much driving.
Bought the RUF CTR3 '07 and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640 '09 from the UCD.
Got a 3 star ticket from my daily mileage that got me 10k.

I realized that I didn't have the mandatory Anime Weeb Race Car™, and I had that GR.3 Mazda thing sitting around from the launch bonus. So...

I don't even know what anime it's from, I just picked it because of the car colors. Don't judge me.

Then I took it out for a couple attempts at the Touring Car 800 races to see what it was capable of. Monza wasn't too difficult, aside from the AI completely chopping the first chicane every damn lap and usually getting ejected by the giant orange sausage kerb lining the whole thing. Lucky for them the game doesn't simulate floorpan damage, I guess. That aside, the strat here seems to be to use hard tires and only take fuel at the halfway point, since you lose too much time on a tire swap as the pit crew can only do one thing at a time (c'mon fellas, NASCAR figured this out decades ago!) Possibly you could get away with a single set of mediums if you have something that can take the corners without too much drama, but I feel like they'd fall off too much near the end of the race.

Fuji... was less pleasant. Simply put, this car is awful in the rain. You can barely use half throttle in the first two gears without it deciding grip isn't fashionable anymore. I managed a 6th place finish, but I'm sure that was only because the rain stopped around lap 4, and when I swung in the next time around I gambled on softs while everyone who pitted on lap 4 took full wets and everyone else that pitted on 5 took inters, so they all had to make an extra stip near the end when their rain tires burned up. Thankfully, all that furstration with the S-10 license test paid off and I managed to make use of the dry line to make up enough time for a decent finish. It also helped that a bunch of cars muffed it coming out of the pits on the last lap and spun because the pit lane exit was still wet enough that they couldn't get stopped in time.

So, that's my anime race car story. The moral here is: the Castrol Supra is better, I'll just be using that from now on.

I did a bit of grinding but got tired of it pretty quickly, then made a few liveries, drove a few random laps, nothing special... oh and tried to make the Apline A110 roadcar look like the GT4 racing Alpine :)

I golded S-10. Fun challenge to learn where the track was still damp. Frustrating, yeah. The final section leading up to the last chicane was the hardest for me. Never found grip and you had to take it pretty quick. After that I got Cr.500,000 from a ticket, then bought the Ferrari 500 Mondial from the legend dealer I've been saving up for. So a pretty good day for me
