Trial Mountain Cup 2 x 2 lap races no restrictions apart from using a American Car , but no limits , less than 9 mins for both , 2 x clean races plus the cup prize nets you 100,000cr .
Good to know. I've been replaying the WTC championships for a bit of variety because they come with a nice series prize, but both are 3 x 5 laps. Didn't realise the Trial Mountain one paid out 100k!

Yesterday, I managed to win the Ferrari Menu races with a race tuned 308. Then became extremely familiar with Chariots Of Fire.

After seeing about a bill - and a letter from the city, for cryin' out loud - I'll give that last bunch of races a shot with... something. My race tuned Ford GT '06 has a nice livery, but it's a nervous handful... might need my Gr.3 Supra after all.

I did another endurance race at N24 in the Sauber C9. This time 4 hours with 6x time compression for a full 24h day/night cycle. It works with 3 hours and 8x time compression as well. That's the minimum for a full cycle, max time compression is x10.
N24 Endurance 2 Settings.png

I refined the weather 'program', starting out mainly sunny before the clouds move in. Rain turning into torrential rain follows in the afternoon, then is clears up and the sun breaks through for a beautiful sunset. At night the clouds and the rain come back, it's quite scary at night in the rain with GR.C car lights. Very dark. (No reflective road paint in GT7 :/)

Then it clears up again in the morning, fog melting way to end in bright sunshine.

I couldn't catch first since I fell for the remaining laps counter again when getting fuel. It's broken, far too optimistic on N24. I was already racing flat out in map 1 before my final pit stop, so it should have been reflecting my maximum fuel use. I got 4.5 laps of fuel and now my pit crew is fired. It also doesn't count down right, claiming I still had 1.0 laps of fuel with 18% left, while 5 laps requires short shifting and fuel map 2 to make it at 3x fuel use.

Anyway, mental note, lap at full speed requires about 23% to 24% fuel with these settings. Tires are also suspect, 4 laps on mediums. I'm still worse off than the AI on softs... The results of this race:
N24 Endurance 2 Results.png

The Nismo is even worse than the Jaguar, pesky hybrid VGT is fast.

The AI is very rubber bandy though and can't make a clean pass when they get the magic boost. The AI crashed me at least half a dozen times in that race, pit manoevering me, dive passes pushing me off, bumps from behind. Dirty mofos, next time I'll just move over to let their boosted car past as it costs me 15 seconds each time to get back on the road and going again.

Here's an excerpt from the race at night, rain starts at 2:45 then torrential rain at 4:00

At the start you can see the difference in old vs modern car lights, so much better visibility with a car behind me lol. (My car apparently doesn't throw a shadow in other cars' headlights)

The AI doesn't watch the weather radar, I did, so I equipped rain tires before the rain hit, then pass them all as they're crawling down the straight. They get rain tires and with their magic make up 1:25 on me before the end of the lap  to fly past at the start of the next lap and take their positions in font of me again. Dirty and cheats, but at least you're never driving alone for long with the yoyo AI. Maybe tonight I'll be beat that pesky Hybrid, stick to RH, fill up the tank. Don't believe the lies!

Stop shaming the AI Sven. We can't pass you either.

Man, I can't wait for Sophy to kick your ass.

I’m over 90% of the way to the credits cap as of today. I have mainly been farming credits at the Sardegna Windmills course in the Dirt Champions event. I have been using an Audi Quattro equipped with a nitrous kit. It takes me a few seconds under four minutes each race, around 900,000 credits per hour.

It’s because of this that I know every inch of this dirt track I would otherwise not give a you-know-what about if it weren’t for these paltry payouts.

Gonna do the Nation's Championship tonight if I can get some time.

By the way, does anybody know if the GT Cafe closes after you get the last menu book? I read that somewhere; I enjoy the insights from Chris on the cars and don't want that option to become unavailable.

Signed up with McLaren for the manufacturers cup thing and did my first online racing. Used the Gr.3 650s I got from McLaren on Interlagos. Good fun!

3 races..
1 Sport online, interlagos or as i call it pain! 5500 credits in the bag after 5 laps of PAIN
5 lap race at laguna, unlike the last 2 times i went for another car and instead of finishing 5 seconds behind i was 20 seconds ahead, will need to find a balance. 25.000 credits in the bag
5 lap GR4 race at brands hatch, rabbit was caught after 2 laps, the last 3 laps was all about improving my lap time and the last lap was purple. The GTR GR4 is like a train on rails. 67.500 credits in the bag.

Got my AWESOME 1 star ticket that returned with a Computer for a Supra i think, worth 5000 credits, wheel of misfortune still going strong.

Bought 3 used cars, 400.000 credits left the bag

Posted on GT-Planet, and now it's time for some COLD WAR to let steam off..

FOMO got to me, I bought the 997 GT3 from UCD despite not having lots of credits. Turns out the car needed maintenance. Spend another chunk of credits on overhaul and restoring rigidity. Drives nicely but needs more grip.

Tried a custom race for the first time. OMG!!!! GT7 has arrived.

Mount panorama, standing start, weather, multi class race. I did a quick 2 lapper against the tuned cars from my garage and it felt like the Bathurst 12 hour.

Watched the full replay, watching all my cars battling away against each other and started thinking how I can create my own championships. This will keep me going for years.

All it needs is a way to save Favourite settings and drivers. It’s also perfect for Bspec Bob or Sophy to do a 24hour race with as part of a race team so hoping that will be arriving in the future.

If you are bored of single player, give it a go. The credits are poor but the fun was the best yet.

Ran up another 200 miles on my Maserati, which finally pushed it into the need for an oil change, and earned enough for my current goal:

I absolutely regret spending the 1.2 million on a LaFerrari instead of getting this first. Like you'd expect from an '80s style F1 car it's extremely responsive and fast, but also very demanding that you give it your full attention and obviously is completely intolerant of being bumped around. I'll definitely be getting a lot of use out of this bad boy. :D

I guess the next project will be figuring out what to do with the big red paperweight, so that I can justify the credits I threw into it. 5 miles of test driving is hardly a good value for the cost.

Today I tried racing in Daytona in a full grid with the experimental Tomahawk. Actually, this was 4 hours ago. I'M STILL LAUGHING
Also did a custom 40-minute race at Northen Isle Speedway in Gr.3 cars. It's actually pretty fun.

My Gr.3 Corvette is now at 2.500 km. DAMN.
My first race at Nations Cup went well, from 7th to 3rd. I'm just finishing my 2 liveries for Manufacturers Cup now.

Worry not, they will still talk to you. I was afraid of missing them too, but after I finished the game I brought my Corvette there and still had the dialogue option. Unfortunately, it seems that a good chunk of cars have no dialogue at all...
The Café is the first place I go for every new car I get/buy and to be honest, it's been quite a while since Chris had something to say to me...

The 997 GT3 is also available at Brand Central, although it's 150k cr more. Well, at least you have a fun car now!

and I just realized we can get them for free from a championship lol I hope I didn't get that car again. It's a very fun car though but would be tough in the rain.

Just completed the Gr. B tokyo expressway course, 10 laps x 1 mins ~30 secs in my office (WFH) break time. Also automatically completes daily workout.

Anti mclaren fomo club

I did my daily work out, ran one Blue Moon Bay race. Did a little practice session and tuning so I can get better at drifting. Also needed to figure out why the trophy for buying 10 wheels didn't work, when I have 12 sets. Found out that 1.08 broke it, and found the solution on how to fix it, and that solution worked. I had to restart my PS5, then run a race, then buy another set of wheels, which popped the trophy for me. Also the race I ran was on that Blue Moon Bay oval, which also got me the 500 miles trophy on oval tracks.

As for my drifting. Still more room for improvement.

There is a good amount of information if you go into your garage and then far right - collection I think, then clicking on your cars. Not near PS so can't check exactly how/ where, but I'm sure you'll find it. :)

The last update introduced a bug where if you drive a car, both the “last used” and “date acquired” fields from the garage sorting options were updated. This frustrates me a lot as I already somewhat memorised the “date acquired“ field of the cars I own.

Luckily I also kept this date acquired field in my GT7 spreadsheet, so I’m now driving all my cars in that order again and then not touch them anymore until they fix this. For the road cars I use the Sunday cup race at BB raceway, it’s a quick 2 laps but pays 7500 Cr. each. Not great for grinding, but if you want to easily drive each car you own quickly without much hassle, the payouts add up after a while.

Already re-sorted 62 out of the 110 cars I own this way. And hey, it’s actually quite fun since many of the cars I own I didn’t drive yet.

After the sorting is done, I’m not touching any car except for the last purchased one to keep the list accurate. So I’ll have to do my daily mileage with that car. :)

Did some money making yesterday. Trial Mountain championship probably seven times; the Pan American Championship twice; and the German one once (can't remember what it's called).

They were all fun except the last couple Trial Mountains as I was getting tired, but I wanted to get over the 4 mil credit mark before going to bed. My goal is to save up the 8.5 mil for the CLK GTR, and have the 8.5 mil be my new zero so anything over that I can/will start spending again.

Had my closest finish ever at the Nurburgring race at the German Championship. Really really really trying for the clean race bonuses (which was extra tough because it was raining and I was on slicks) and this damn BMW cut the final chicane something fierce. Ended up going side by side on the final right hand turn with him on the inside but I nipped him at the finish by .003 seconds.

Did a few qualy laps for Daily Race B in my 911 RSR and took part in 2 Races (3rd in first one and 2nd in the second one, Tier A, was very happy :) ).
In the waiting times between I startet Fishermans 1 lap race a few times for the daily grind :D .
I have to say I really had fun. The adrenaline of daily sport mode races mixed up with a little bit relaxed grinding in my Hyundai was really enjoyable.

//edit: plan for today is to search for additional PSN friends to fill up my friends-leaderboards. Unfortunatley I have NOT A SINGLE PSN friend playing GT7 (or any other racing sim...). So if you want to take part in my list, don't hesitate to add me :D -> PSNID is Thumb-4

As of 9:48 AM Eastern (1:48 PM GMT), I have finally reached the credits cap in the game after nearly two weeks of hard work and and a lot of bouncing around in a Quattro.

Did my first 20 races in Sport. Pretty happy with the results. It's just a shame that there are a few guys who can't drive at all and take you off the track so you don't get a clean race bonus...
