On the Plus account, I found the tuned Silvia S15 I used for Silvia Sisters is really just a tick or two too slow for Tokyo, but I still managed a blocking win in 28:04. It does just last 10 laps on fuel, the tires are good for all 12 laps, and I did get a fast lap of 2:15 flat, but it's too nervous in the wet.
The 4-star Wheel of Despair spat out the 2019 Toyota Supra, but I still had enough to get the SF19 Toyota. I now have 60 cars left to get on the Plus account...with a total cost of 317,449,500 Cr.
On the GTP account, I first grabbed another Mazda Touring Car for the new WRS time trial, and the SM tires required for said time trial, though I didn't turn any laps in it yet. I decided to go crazy and tune the Radical for Tokyo. I first used Exeter's settings (I had to fudge on the transmission as I couldn't get it to flip, but I did get his speeds there, and I held off on using the anti-lag. Like the S15, it wasn't quite fast enough, but it would have done a no-stop race. I then got the rest of the power upgrades (except an aftermarket turbo), put back on SH tires, lengthened the gearing somewhat (especially 6th), and had to take 1% off using the power restrictor to get back down to under 600 PP.
The race itself wasn't much to write home about. The Radical is a bit slow on the long straight, but if you hit the medium-speed corners right, it feels like it's on SM tires. I got down under 2:14 on the last lap, using just about every last drop of fuel (on FM 1) to get an easy (normal difficulty) win in 27:37.
It's not the cheapest way to grind Tokyo (that still, so far, goes to the C7 Corvette with some aero parts/tuning), but it's another option. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the usual lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. On this account, where I have a lot more duplicates (only partly because it's the one where I took part in the engine jubilee), I still have 159 cars to go, but "only" 277,214,400 Cr.
