377 miles driven. Mostly the Ferrari F50 '95 on Tokyo Expressway. Drove the mclaren '88 for the first time in the online time trial. Car is amazing.

Revisited the Ferrari Challenge Races - with stock F40, F50, Berlinetta and 458, I remember them being harder than the norm, especially Maggiore.

Last week's Maggiore Time Trial in the 2023 Z Performance, where I ran 1,100 miles, has honed my performance in the stock Ferraris - I had them all tuned before to iron out kinks in my ability to tame them; however, I've got a new appreciation for them in stock guise after driving that Z Performance boat.

Sardegna daily grinding with the Red Bull car - managed to do 4 races last night which was excellent. I try to do at least 3 Sardegna races for 2.1m credits + daily bonus everyday. I should later this month have all the credits I need to finish my car collection - if only the last few I need would show up!

I bought a 2003 Audi TT and created a 7 lap custom race at Tokyo Expressway against a Honda S2000. Really enjoyed driving the car, didn’t expect it to be so much fun. It’s really easy to make the car rotate by adjusting the throttle, and braking for those hairpins is a lot of fun when you get the timing just right.

On the Plus account, I took the SLR McLaren to Tokyo. It is fast (fast lap just under 2:12), and will do 7 laps on fuel, but the tires are iffy, not suprising considering the weight (almost completely worn after 12 not-so-hard laps). The 3-star marathon roulette gave a low-showing, yet second-highest-possible, 100,000 Cr., which was enough for me to get the Peugeot L500R HYbrid VGT.

On the GTP account, after proving once again the Hellcat can't do Tokyo, I used the 2013 Viper on a no-stop strategy for an easy win, even though I incurred a 5-second penalty on the last lap. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave a racing crank shaft for the AMG safety car.

Ran up about 150 miles on my Fairlady Z 432 doing the various WTC 600 spot races a few times. It may not have the raw acceleration to catch the GT-R or that damnable green Huracan that always fly away from the rest of the field, but the car is so enjoyable to drive that I really didn't care.

Today's ticket was a parts one and gave me a carbon driveshaft for the Tundra, but it appears to have no effect on my dirt tuned model, and actually takes almost 9 points off the engine swapped road racer I recently built, so... thanks, I guess?

Picked up the 2J and ran a WTC 800. Interesting car, great fun. It’s a 2-stopper on RH. The AI is getting wackier there. I had two instances of cars stopped in the middle of the track and had a car that spun off and pulled back right in front of me. I had to T-bone him to avoid passing on the yellow.

I also ran a WTC 700 with the A220. Even with the new nerfed tune, wins easily. It just takes more than one lap to get the lead.

Got another exhaust from the wheel. Blech.

Spent almost seven million credits for something I Found On Road Dead. Now I don't even have money for a taxi. So this Driver Return On Foot.
lol, I've driven Ford trucks since I was 15. They're good, but every Ford car I've had or worked on has been an absolute pile of crap. All their truck based stuff is decent. I owned a couple of their SUV's and a couple of vans too. The Explorer Sport was a fun ride! It was loud and rattled a lot, but the body rusted off that thing before the engine ever quit (even with the stupid four chain cam timing...)
The last van wasn't truly mine, it was issued to me. If I had known they were gonna sell it I would have made an offer. You can do a lot of camping with a retired ambulance!

In some cases you have to retune the ECM to install a different driveshaft. The stock ones on the F-150 are built to minimize noise and vibration at the cost of durability. Ford limited the speed on this generation of F-150 because above that, the stock driveshaft is subject to catastrophic failure. The 2011 Raptor's stock top speed is 100 MPH, just like its brothers. GT7 ignores this up front, in fact it takes a LOT of, um, creative liberty with the Raptor and the 5.0 Coyote engine. Compared to my STX, the Raptor sounds weird, sits higher (as it should), rolls a LOT more, and has a factory installed wide body. The 5.0 Coyote engine in game is anemic. In real life, you better hang on to something. The truck variant has a different torque curve and still pushes 396HP.
The lighter driveshaft in game may flex more or have the same reliability issues, which would be compensated for by returning the ECM, changing the torque converter, etc.

Got home and purchased the Aston Martin DB3S '53 for 6,000,000cr. Up to 437/442 cars collected!
I managed to knock out a Sardegna race and nearly have the second one done. Will do another two more tonight.

Should have 43m credits available but still another 30 or so million grinding left until I have enough. Should take me 2 weeks.

Bought the Strassenversion on an impulse and re-ran the Porsche events having enjoyed redoing the Ferrari Challenge yesterday.

Never worth 9M... but I'm at that stage in GT7 now whereby there's nothing I actually want and I casually play events that I fancy rather than specifically aim for big ticket events so cash isn't desired or a problem.

Ran Sardegna with my Pikes Peak car a few times yesterday, so I had enough money to buy the Porsche 917.
Then tried racing it in a couple of custom races at Spa. My plan is to get used to the car at spa and then try the S-10 licence. I don't see any point in doing S-1 to S-9 if I can't do S-10 so I'm starting with that one.
Still aiming for my first ever GT game platinum.

S-10 is evil. Pure hell. I've been trying on-and-off for months after doing all the others. So have fun
Have 5 trophies left including that one - no point even thinking about the others until it's done.

Thanks for the warning. That's why I'm not doing the others. There's no point if I can't do this test. My plan is to just keep driving the Porsche 917 a lot until it's comfortable and race it on that track a lot until I can get a quick lap time. Then I will attempt the licence. The 'Demon'stration looks simple enough. :)

Went to Trial Mountain for a Hypercar race and found a new one! The PP700 now added 😲 When did that happen, I must have missed it??? Need to check the other tracks (there's usually a little red circle for new ones?). Anyway, had a lovely race in the Camaro ZL1, lovely car, and fast!

3 new non-menu events got added in 1.23. The Clubman 700 at Trial Mountain, a FR Challenge 450 at Autopolis and a WTC 800 at Tokyo East.

Just focused on Daily A after watching Tidgneys vid.

Expected carnage on turn 1, but was surprised to see everyone basically zipper-merge into a single line and work around the corner with no issues. However...

Coming up to the chicane the two cars ahead of me were side-by-side. Realizing that would end in carnage and expecting the right car to be pushed into the barrier, I eased off and braked a fraction earlier. Sure enough the right car got pushed into the barrier and the car behind me completely missed their braking point, punting me straight through the now ghosted barrier car and into the other lead car.

Quite annoying.

The cherry on top was that by the time I'd regained control of the car I was on the outside, mid way through the chicane, watching the car that punted me just keep on driving.

Also bought the light blue Ferrari at the ripoff dealer, so there's two new to me overpriced cars in one day.
I've been reconsidering S-10. I run Spa with only ABS and level 1 TCS now, so I might be able to push the old Porsche a bit easier now. I've probably logged 1,000 miles or more on Spa, having run it some in total darkness in the F1500T-A.

Working my way through the cafe menus on my other account,up to menu 32,and won a veneno with a roulette ticket.Thats the highest valued prize ive ever won.lol

Got up at 6:30am and did a race at Sardegna for my daily workout + grind before heading off to work. Tonight I should be able to knock out another 3 more races to take my daily credit total past 2.8m credits.

We should be getting 2 new cars at the Hagerty Dealership so fingers crossed they are cars I need for completing the collection - I only have 5 more to go.

Today I snapped after being rammed from the lead or when going for the lead 3 races in a row so i snapped and got revenge.. which dropped me down to safety rating A, first 2 races with safety rating A and I win straight both.

Way easier to win in B/A lobbies than B/S lobbies.

On the GTP account, I took the Viper Gr.4 to Sarthe for a 1-stop race (RM 3). The main round of rain held off until lap 5, and was intense enough that the two other front-runners came down for full-wet tires, though none of them were smart enough to take even intermediates on lap 4 as I did, and a couple didn't take even intermediates (with one not pitting at all on lap 5).

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the usual lowest-possible 10,000 Cr., leaving me well short of the two in-stock Hagerty's cars I don't already own.

On the Plus account, I decided to try the lowest-PP Gr.4 machine, the Mazda Atenza, at Sarthe. After a bunch of false starts plagued by penalties and yellow flags. enough that I needed to change the oil, I finally got a clean, and close, win. My best lap was only a 4:26, but I was able to make the 1-stop strategy (on FM1, with a tire change; the front tires wouldn't have lasted 7 laps) win, with some rain on lap 5.

Naturally, the 3-star Wheel of Despair was the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr. Well, every day is the Monday after Thanksgiving, and the internet is out.

After the Hagerty's refresh, I went back to the Plus account to get the Abarth. I have 4 sub-1,000,000 Hagerty's cars left to get over there - Renault R8 Gordini, Ferrari 365 GTB4, AMG 300 SEL 6.8 AMG and Toyota 2000GT.

Ran one WTC700 with the A220. Started raining hard at the end of lap 2 and continued until the end of lap 5. I had a car spin in front of me and the yellow flag popped up almost immediately, leaving me no way to avoid going past it. So I restarted.

The AI is getting wackier and far more aggressive, banging into me while passing on the straights. They're also weaving side to side.

The 4-star wheel yielded 30k. That's much better than another invitation or another car part for a car I don't have.
