Ran one WTC800 with the LM55. Ran two WTC700’s. One with the BMW VGT,(dry race) one with the Mazda Vision VGT, (wet race from lap 3 to the end).

The wheel gave 10k credits.

I‘m over 92M credits now.

Spun the wheel of pain yet again, got the lowest prize out of mostly gold bars; a cool 10k :/
Took a couple of shots of my 90s rally cars, just got two more to paint up

On the Plus account, I came up 46 seconds short of getting to lap 8 at Sarthe with the Red Bull Junior on RM tires. The rain on lap 4 cost me about 30 of those seconds, and the stop for 2 laps of fuel and tires on lap 6 took care of the rest. If I had a dry race, and I did a no-stop strategy, maybe I could make it to lap 8 with nothing left on the rear tires.

The all-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the 2nd-low-showing (and lowest possible among the 5 showing, as the low-showing was 5,000 Cr.) 30,000 Cr., That was not enough to get the next 1,000,000-Cr. car, especially since the oil dropped to normal on the Red Bull and I changed it.

On the GTP account, it took two tries to get a closer-than-it-should-have win with the Corvette Gr.4. The first time, I spun on lap 3 in the rain. The second, I forgot to add fuel on the second stop. Still, the second time was the charm.

The 3-star workout roulette gave the 2nd-low-showing 500,000 Cr., which actually is the highest possible from the 3-star. Had Hagerty's not jacked up the price of the Mark IV last month, I would have my first "trophy" car.

Fired it up again for the second time this moth. Set a 1:21:6 on the timetrail. Dont wanna do more than six laps as i hate the track. Should be enough for an easy silver. To complete the daily milage i went to sarthe wit the old jag. Cockpit view in both rain and sunshine made me realize again how much love they put in this game, even though we all want more money making events. I'll probably drive some more today. Nearly 40m in the bank, think i missed all the expensive cars in my time off.

I fired up the game for the first in a couple of weeks and realised that replaying le mans 30 minute WTC is still the most enjoyable thing for me in this game.

Been working more on reining in my ridiculously overpowered GT-R. Seems like setting the auto gearing to a top speed of 255 MPH is about as much as the car can realistically handle in most scenarios, I was able to get to an absolute maximum of 280 on SSRX but that stretches 4th and 5th out too much. Tuning the suspension around medium race tires has worked best for stability at lower speeds; the car is still stubborn on turn-in with most corners but that's something that all AWD cars tend to have an issue with, and I think it can be dialed out a bit more. Later I'll give it a try with fuel burn and tire wear enabled, just to see how abusive it is compared to the Gr.3 cars it seems to be in the same performance category as (785-ish PP).

Meanwhile, today's 4-star ticket provided this thing:
5YYm9go.jpg

Now do I ram it into the Crown (presuming the safety car can use it), or the Tundra that's been sitting around idle for a bazillion years? Either one should be a hilarious disaster.

@EngieDiesel, it's the stock Crown that can take the SC430 engine, not the safety car.

On the GTP account, I hustled a stock Peugeot RCZ Gr.3 around Sardegna for a 1-stop win (FM4 on the first stint, FM3 on the second, and FM2 for the last lap only because I had the fuel) that, despite the closeness, was surprisingly easy. Of course, that was on normal, and took a long 27:15.

After collecting the usual low-showing 30,000 Cr. from the 4-star Wheel of Despair, I decided to pick up the Mark IV from Hagerty's. I hope I won't have to get the Porsche or the Audi for an extra menu or a menu book.

On the Plus account, I used the GT-R GT3 on the same strategy, and though the time of 27:07 (including going wide in the last left-hander on lap 13 and getting passed by both Beauvois and Portilla) was faster, it was a closer win as Beauvois and Portilla got together in the s-curve on lap 14, allowing me to retake the lead.

The 6-star workout roulette gave the 2nd-low-showing/lowest-possible 500,000 Cr., which allowed me to get the other two Nissan 1,000,000-Cr. cars, the LM NISMO and the VGT. For a few hours, at least, I have all the Nissans, though when the S14 Silvia shows up, I'll be able to grab that.

Fired the game up to check out the update. Realized I was early and checked used for a couple cars I want dupes for swaps then shut down. May try again tomorrow post update but not terribly enthusiastic about the cars so may just read about the details here and try again next month.

Update:

Logged in for the update. Did one of the extra menus since I already had the cars but missing the 356 spider or whatever. Got the ferrari engine for the 5 star given on the other. Looked at the new menu book for the silvia and then the other events and new scapes. After, I checked the update for available engine swaps and organized my collection. Purchased and swapped the cars I could and made sure I had at least one car available for the rest and will get dupes when I see them or get the engine for them. Then got frustrated that engines are still behind the roulette tickets and shut down. No real interest or desire to play the game so I went to the garage to work on my bike and tinker on my car.

First things first, this is the worst update since 1.07. Two extra menus time-gated behind Hagerty's cars that appear for maybe 2 weeks out of every 11, with the Porsche one not available until November at the earliest if you missed its early-September appearance, over 350,000 Cr. to spend to get a 5-star Wheel of Despair, and over 6,000,000 Cr. to spend for an engine ticket, a near-impossible menu book with the Silvias (and that's without considering I hate Deep Forest Reverse and Streets of Willow Springs), only 2 race out of 6 new ones that pays better than 700,000 Cr. per hour...and one of them requires getting a strict CRB on a rainy track where a car 2 classes lower can reliably get better than 1,600,000 Cr. per hour with a slowly-drying track, and a crippling of tunes that sacrificed handling for speed and power (good-bye sub-25 minute Sardegna grinds, and I'm glad I got the Neoclassical Challenge done last month).

On the GTP account, I got the S14 Silvia, then took a widebody engine-swapped S15 to the Streets of Willow Springs. It took a lot of tries to win that race dirty, then I got smoked at Deep Forest. I grabbed some tuning and aero parts, intending on matching Praiano's suspension 600 PP/SS tune for a non-swapped S15, but saw it was an "SUV" tune, so I only copied the wheel, downforce and LSD settings to raise the PP up to 574.20 from 513.10. The return to the Streets was clean, but not much faster. I was fast enough to, once I got "used" to Deep Forest Reverse, get a dirty win. Tsukuba was a walk in the park compared to the other two, but I still wouldn't have been close in any of the 3 races on hard.

The resulting parts ticket gave me a weight reduction 5 for the Hellcat, and the insulting 4-star wheel of Despair for the mileage gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr. That was enough to get the 2009 Corvette to complete the Corvette extra menu. At least I didn't get a worthless invite like so many others did, though an ultra-high RPM turbo for the GT-R Nismo is hardly better.

On the Plus account, while I already had all of the Corvettes, I have neither of the Spyders. Instead of doing the Silvia Sisters, I did the other 3 new races. I previously slightly modified the Camaro ZL1 I used to blitz the other American Clubman Cup races, but it did yeoman's work at Trial Mountain. I suppose I could have used the newest Corvette.

At Autopolis, the 2018 Subaru BRZ STI Sport that waltzed its way through the other Japanese FR Challenges needed two tries and the S14 rabbit to be caught in traffic the second time to win. At Tokyo, after buying rain tires for the 2008 GT-R GT500, I did a cleaner race than a normal WTC 600 wet, but missed out on the CRB, and stayed out way too late on the RM tires (should have pitted lap 4, but stayed out until lap 6, and helplessly spun them coming out of the hairpin).

The all-cash 5-star Wheel of Despair from the Corvettes gave the 3rd-low-showing/lowest-possible 100,000 Cr. (I guess I should be thankful it wasn't a part like on the GTP account, or worse, an invite), and the 4-star Wheel of Despair from the marathon gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr. I did buy the S14 out of the UCD because that is all I could do with the poor payouts.

Purchased whatever cars I could for the Extra Menu Books. Got a tuning part for the DeLorean... which I don't own. Still need the old Porsche for that Extra Menu Book.

Picked up whatever tuning parts I could for the 2JZ swapped Silvia and then laughed as I struggled to keep the thing going straight.

Tuned it a bit to make it more manageable and blew through the Silvia Sisters Menu Book. Won the GR4 Veyron... Not a fan of Bugatti.

I'm not done for the day though, I'll bust the wheel out later on and finish up the daily marathon. Maybe grind Sardegna to get some credits back.

I guess (almost - thanks @Mudda Chod and @Zero2Oblivion for not making me tree myself) everybody stopped playing after the 1.07...er...1.23 update. I can't blame you.

On the GTP account, I took the C6 I had to buy for the Corvette collection to Trial Mountain for the new Clubman Cup. It isn't as good as the C7 in the twisty parts of the track, or at least the parts where the AI is competent, but it's much faster in the straights. Between that speed and the AI's incompetence at certain parts, it was an easy win at a fraction under 10:59.

As I didn't have the mileage for the daily Wheel of Despair, I decided to, like the AI, "cheat" at Autopolis, bringing a stock RX-8 to a "450 PP" race. I may have overdone it, as there was no S14 to run down this time, and the 1988 Supra "rabbit" was dispatched before the end of the first lap. It turned into a 13-second win in 4:35.

I could have done the third "independent" new race, but thanks to having to restart the Trial Mountain race a couple times after early body contact because I wanted a CRB out of that race, I had exactly 26.2 miles. It must be Millionaire Day, as my 4-star workout roulette also popped 1,000,000 Cr. Unfortunately, I was still short of the 1,600,000 Cr. needed to get the 918 Spyder.

On the Plus account, it was time to tackle Silvia Sisters. As the only engine swap I had for the Silvias was the S15-to-S13 K's, I needed to tune one of them. I decided on tuning the S15, with a medium-RPM turbo, full-LSD (with Praiano's settings of 10/18/10) and some aero parts (Front A, Side A, Rear B and Wing B, tuned to Praiano's 150/270). It was enough to get through Willow Springs, though not cleanly.

I had to add a lot more parts to get through Deep Forest (full weight reduction, chassis rigidity, and the non-permanent racing engine parts (intercooler, air filter, muffler and manifold), and change the LSD to 12/23/10, but I did so...cleanly. It was also just enough for a clean win at Tsukuba. Had I been able to clear Willow Springs cleanly, I would have made just a little bit of money on this series.

The parts Wheel of Despair from the Sivlia Sisters gave me a Bore Up S for the Peugeot RCZ GT Line, and the 4-star Wheel of Despair from the marathon gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr. It's mostly back to the more-lucrative normal grind tomorrow, as I still need to do the Tokyo WTC 800 on the GTP account.

On further consideration, I went back to the GTP account to do the Tokyo WTC 800 race. As I had rain tires for a Corvette Gr.3 with a modified Praiano tune, I used it. It is quick - I got under 2:02 on a dry track, and the fuel lasts 4 laps on FM 1. The rain situation was a bit different than yesterday's run on the Plus account - a minor rain during lap 3, and a track-soaker during lap 7. Fortunately, I saw that big blob coming and switched to wet tires on lap 6, and cruised from there to a 32-second win in 21:48. Unlike yesterday's run, it was good enough for the CRB. My verdict - if you have a car good enough to grind Sardegna, you have a car good enough to win the Tokyo WTC 800 race.

That gave me enough cash to get the Porsche 918 Spyder and clear the mid-engine Porsche extra menu. The ensuing engine Wheel of Despair gave yet another 1992 Carrera RS engine, leaving me with 20...AFTER installing 2 in the Sambabus and 4 in the Beetle. That's just great (in my best Bill Paxton voice) - spend 6,230,000 Cr. for an engine worth...110,600 Cr.

Haven't really been doing anything substantial the last couple of days as they've been doing work on the power poles in the area. Which means the electricity has developed a fun habit of flashing off for a half second at unpredictable times, and I'd rather not get into any really long races only to have it all be wiped out because AEP can't get their 🤬 together.

Mostly I've just gotten the Silvia Sisters races done and dusted, since I had the S15 already built to WTC 600 spec. Nothing too terribly noteworthy there, other than even after all these years, I still think Deep Forest feels really weird in reverse.

Returned to the game last night with the intention of finishing the daily workout. Picked out the Cappuccino and figured I'd throw it around a track a few times to get back into the rythme of using the wheel and manual shifts...

Didn't end up busting the wheel out though, as I'm feeling under the weather. It's a cold (kid picked it up from school). Figured I'd complete the daily and go to bed.

Somehow ended up doing the 1 hour endurance mission on Autopolis... Because that makes sense when you can't stop your nose running...

Finished 1st with a 17 second lead on Miyazono.

Amusingly/Annoyingly on my second pit, I was 3 seconds ahead when I entered. I had 10% fuel, Miyazono 8. Changed tires, fuelled up, exited the pit to find Miyazono was now 4 seconds ahead of me!

On the GTP account, I took the 86 Gr. 4 to Sarthe. I doubt it has the pace for a 2-stop race, but it has the range for a 1-stop race. The tires are a bit iffy for a 7-lap race, so I changed them during my stop. It was bone-dry; the only hint of rain on the radar came on lap 5, but nothing fell. I got halfway to Indianapolis on lap 7 when the clock hit 0:00, and I finished in 31:35.

I spent some time in this week's WRS combo at Suzuka East with the Toyota S-FR (it's a cheap entry at 19,500 Cr. and no parts necessary...or allowed), which made the 4-star marathon roulette's 500,000 Cr. that much sweeter.

On the Plus account, I fitted the A220 Race Car with some RH tires, grabbed rain tires as well, and went to Sarthe. It is a fast car (4:13 on a dry track), but also thirsty - it barely lasts 3 laps on FM 1. It also doesn't deal well with rain; even with intermediates, I spun on the Mulsanne straight on lap 4, when the rain was its heaviest. Still, it was an easy win.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave me yet another 2008 Nissan Fairlady Z, the second THIRD one I won from a roulette. Still, I had enough to buy the Peugeot 908.

Today I could have either continued grinding to buy the iD.R, or spent the 800k I already had on buying a used '02 NSX Type R and converting it into a Gr.3 race car just because.

Obviously, I picked the fun option.

It's a bit of a fuel hog compared to the dedicated race cars, but thanks to it being just under 2200 lbs after all the weight reductions it's very light on its tires, especially in the rain (though I would expect a car that originally had design input from Ayrton Senna will be good in wet conditions). Did the WTC 800 race at Tokyo as a test and it was quite amusing as I completely demolished the AI with tire strategy, ducking in at lap 3 for inters when I noticed rain creeping in and blowing everyone else's doors off while they limped around the back half of the track on worn slicks, then ran away even farther by stopping at lap 6 for full wets while the AI again decided they could make do for another lap as a full-on monsoon blew in. I ended up finishing some 30+ seconds ahead of the second place car, even with having to make a splash and dash stop for an extra half lap of fuel at the end.

Was bumping the credit cap, so I bought a few cars: a BRZ GT300 ’21, and an F-1500 T-A. I used Exeter’s 800pp tunes on both. I ran the BRZ at Suzuka and Sardegna. What a beast! A bit thirsty,(2stops at Sardegna) but a rocket. I ran the F-1500 at Sardegna. I got rammed coming off the last turn and bounced into the pits. Fun car.
I also Exeter-tuned my Tomahawk to 950pp for Daytona.

I did receive a muffler from the wheel. I don’t even remember what car it’s for.

Actually got around to doing what I intended to do yesterday - practice with the wheel and manual gearing.

Lightly modified Honda S660 around Tokyo. Set a base time of 2:49 on controller with automatic.

Tried just the wheel to start, so automatic gears, couldn't get below 2:53. Something just didn't click right with regards to turn-in. Seemed I was always turning in too late to get the car rotated.

Switched to manual after 5 laps. First few laps were all a second or more slower, until I started revving the gears out and not changing down to the suggested gear - staying in 4th when the game recommends 3rd. This was especially beneficial on the hairpin, as I kept losing the backend in automatic, but sticking 1 gear up helped keep the car stable.

After 160km driven, got the time down to 2:51.

Still some work to do, but it's an improvement. Just sucks that Sunday evening the wheel goes away as I have to turn the desk back into office mode for Monday and work.

My garage hit the 400 mark (90% completion). 326 were my own purchases. 192 million without grinding. I think I’ve done at least one race in all of them.

The remaining 42 may take a while, a handful left from the french part of Brand Central and then some ridiculously expensive legends.

Been going through and golding the missions. I have only bronzed most of them just after launch. I only have the 30 lap Tsukuba race and the Human comedy races left. This Tsukuba race is tough for me. Only placed 4th as my best. Been trying different cars and strategies but just can't get it yet.

Decided to dive into custom races. Last update was too light on content for me.

I can see this being the best feature of the game if payouts were on par with regular races. It takes some time to adjust your grid, but you can at least save it and use it on other tracks.

Tried to join multiple lobbies and got a CE-700181 error. Anyone else get these too?
Yep.. same problem here. Had this also a couple of times in GTS. Sadly this happens with 2 friends of mine. When either me or one of them opens up a lobby atleast one of us 3 can’t join the others. The last couple of days we could play with no problems now since the servers were scheduled to be worked on on the 29th we always get this message (error ce-700181) when trying to join private. And since if a host leaves the game everyone gets kicked out open lobbies really get you to hate on GT7’s multiplayer rn.

I have been playing for a Ferrari invite for 2 months but still not appearing :/

Also I have recorded and uploaded a gameplay video first time, here it is from a mission golded after some 10 tries, not a perfect run also:

Did custom races based on the Manufacturers Cup. Nearly finished with Season 1, just have Round 6. I enabled BoP for closer finishes. Might do the Nations Cup races next.

I golded the circuit experiences at Willow Springs, and was reminded that the Horse Thief Mile is in the game.
Promptly returned with a custom race, a 5 lap duel between a Jaguar E-Type and an Aston Martin DB5.

Started the process of buying all of the cars. Stumbled across the Amuse garage, I’d forgot all about those cars! Wish there was a Mines garage or other tuner cars.

Yes it’s cool to tune your own cars. But ‘factory spec’ tuner cars are a different beast.

It'd be neat, but the hitch is that a lot of the time attack/factory tuner cars we remember from older GT games don't actually exist anymore. After they served their purpose they were generally disassembled for other projects or to be rebuilt as something else. Even one of Amuse's most famous cars, the Carbon R Skyline, sat in pieces for a few years until it was reassembled and sold on the private market around 2008 or so.

There's also the fact that a lot of those tuner companies have long since gone bust, since they they couldn't really sustain themselves once the Japanese economy folded in on itself after the turn of the century. That tends to complicate things a lot from a licensing standpoint.

Since the Tomahawk exploit is patched, I'm doing a small daily grind to acquire the last 29m credits that I need for the remaining legendary cars missing in my collection. I prefer Sardegna over Le Mans just because all the long straights at Le Mans make me want to fall asleep lol.

On the Plus account, after getting punted in 3 attempts at Sardegna with the 2011 AMG SLS AMG GT3, I finally got a clean run. The all-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible/low-showing 10,000 Cr., but I was still able to get the Peugeot VGT.

On the GTP account, I made the mistake of trying to run a 1-stop race with the 2008 NSX GT500 on RM tires. Despite trying to save the back tires, the right-rear went flat on the middle of lap 8, causing a spin and crash, and the second set of RMs barely lasted 7 laps despite tire management. I did manage to win though. After collecting the usual low-showing 30,000 Cr. from the ensuing 4-star Wheel of Despair, I picked up the Isle of Man WRX for this week's WRS time trial, and the 250,000 Cr. for bronzing the online time trial.
