What did you do in GT7 today?

On the Plus account, I drove the AMG GT R badly around Tokyo, but not so badly that I didn't get a "clean" win. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr., but I had enough to get the 2012 Toyota TS030.

On the GTP account, I ground Tokyo with the 2013 Viper for the usual results. Unfortunately, that included the not the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr., but something arguably even more worthless - a racing muffler for the Crown safety car.

Tuned up my Impreza 22B to the @praiano63 settings and took it around Suzuka in the Turbo Sports Cars event. Too easy, in the end, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Debating whether to take it around the remaining events too, or to switch it up to another car.

Ran the WTC730 at Daytona,(the 4 chili-pepper race). I used the Gr.3 Jaguar this time. Finished 7th. A tough race at my skill level.

I need to find a car that's fast enough and will go 5 laps on fuel. Using FM1, I got into first place by the end of lap 3, but I had to pit on lap 4 for fuel. I used FM3 to try and stretch the fuel, but I wasn't fast enough to catch the field.

Would another car be more suitable, or does car choice really matter?

The wheel gave another RX-8.

I managed to pull myself away from No Man's Sky long enough to make a bad decision: bought the GT-R LM to see how difficult it will be to make it usable.

I am not confident that this endeavor will end even remotely well.

Nothing. Without the GTWS to practise for, my motivation to play has dropped significantly. Hit a wall with the remaining circuit experiences and the dreaded S-10 licence. Can't run my custom championships as I need duplicates of some very expensive and currently unavailable cars. The most recent online TT being horrendously difficult hasn't helped matters, hopefully the Corvette one is better.

Will finish off buying up the Brand Central vehicles (have only a few French ones to go) and then take a break until the next GTWS season starts. Citroen challenge awaits.

I started my custom 15 race Formula 1 season with the MP4/4s and F1500T-As around Interlagos and Trial Mountain and so far I'm liking what I'm seeing though I'm seeing that the F1500T-As are better on the long races than the MP4/4s while the MP4/4s are only good for short races.

Now for the specs what I did is that I decreased the horsepower, added the front and rear downforce, and added weight depending on the team colors that the MP4/4 and F1500T-As are using except for the McLaren colored ones where I didn't change their specs.

Here's the results of the first two GPs for those curious.

Brazilian GP (round 1 and played as Alain Prost)

Nevada GP (round 2 and played as Ayrton Senna)

Two rounds down 13 more to go.

Did rounds 3-4 next for my custom F1 series and in those rounds (Watkins Glen and Blue Moon Bay Speedway Infield B) I played as Nigel Mansell for Williams and Gerhard Berger for Ferrari.

The results I got for those two rounds got interesting when I enabled heavy damage and it allowed the grid to shake up.

Watkins Glen round (played as Mansell for Williams)

Blue Moon Bay Speedway Infield B round (played as Berger for Ferrari plus the reason there's only 19 because Mansell got DNFed for this round as I pretended that the engine of his Williams blew during the formation lap so he wasn't able to race for this round)

With that said the American portion of the season is done so rounds 5 to 10 will be on Europe.

De-tuned the e-tron VGT so I can run it in the 800 races.

My first test was at Sardenga:
  • Front Heavy, so quicker Tire wear
  • The battery can last 5 Laps, but you got to coast quite a bit on your in-lap
  • The top speed is good, nearly 180mph
  • Got a 1:39 FL, probably not on-par with the GR-010
My next challenge will be Spa

Got all gold on the circuit experience at Daytona. Enjoyed using the Ford GT Race Car in that circuit experience so much that I bought the car. That’s pretty much it.

Grinding Sardegna to save up for a 3rd CLK-LM using a very fast 798pp Escudo tune.

I need a third one as I put Racing Hard tires on it when I first purchased it not realizing that the AI will only use RH in custom races if purchased so it lags behind abit to the rest of the Gr.2 cars which is fine as I am using that one in place of a CLK-GTR for custom races. I should have enough for it by the end of the night. I actually had enough yesterday but I purchased a 3rd Enzo and a LaFerrari before my Ferrari invite expired.

Ran a WTC700 at LeMans using my P330 with Praiano’s updated tune. Also a 10-lapper at Fuji using my Sauber Mercedes, also with Praiano’s updated tune. Both are major improvements over his originals.

The wheel gave a Lancer Evo 3.

Just completed Tsukuba Mission in human comedy, thought i'd blown it on last lap as spun out as I went wide onto the start straight, Hit a puddle and crashed into pit wall along with being spun round n round by back markers, thought it was all lost till It said I finished 1st, 2nd was getting held up by a backmarker thankfully :) , Just too try for gold at Maggiore too complete human comedy, can i get the right car this time, finished 2nd in the RX Vision.

It is fitting that it is Sarthe Day. On the GTP account, I used the Viper Gr.4 to get my cash on a very-dry track. The closest it got to rain was a bit off haze in the middle of lap 5.

The no-cash Wheel of Despair was no help, spitting out a Ferrari invitation. Even that was fitting as I was able to get my second "trophy" car, the 330 P4, just before it sold out of Hagerty's. I also grabbed my 250,000 Cr. for getting bronze in the online time trial.

On the Plus account, I went for the Lancer Gr.4. It probably could do a 1-stop dry run, but all the rain that didn't show up on the GTP account did here. There were 2 bouts of rain, but I planned ahead by taking intermediate tires as the first round started on lap 2, and I had enough fuel to get through lap 6 to allow the track to dry after the second round.

The 3-star Wheel of Despair gave the expected lowest-possible 5,000 Cr., but I had enough to get the Toyota TS050.

Well. I wanted a challenge, and I sure got one. Even the AI has trouble driving this car correctly, not only does it have severe understeer but it's not consistent when the car will understeer. The gearing isn't even that good for Le Mans, the track it was designed for, and everywhere else it's just rubbish. Front tire wear is not just bad like you'd expect, it's positively shocking how fast it shreds the fronts even with hard tires.

Ben Bowlby, what is this demon you have unleashed upon the world?

Had my closest online finish after a great race a couple of days ago

. Would not have been first if we had one more lap, but managed to hold on. Spanish driver was quicker. Great fun!

Cry, swear, shout and raise my fists... At myself 🫤 I cannot understand what the hell is happening. I switched from controller to G29 about 2 weeks ago. Put in over 2k miles worth of laps and yet, I'm still over a second slower than my controller times?! 😭

I've tried adjusting the throttle and brake sensitivity, force feedback sensitivity, everything... I'm much more precise with the wheel and pedal setup, much more consistent! Just friggin slow and it's making me want to rip off my hair!

I'm 99.99% sure it has to do with the steering degrees of rotation but it seems i cannot mess around with that particular setting. I need it to be shorter, needs less rotation to actually rotate as the turning circle on the same car but using controller and wheel is immense! It's like jumping from a city car into a bus!!

Anyone using the same G29 know if this can be fixed please? I'm desperate 😭💔

On the GTP account, I did some laps for this week's WRS time trial, then went to Sardegna with the BRZ GT300. Mendoza was unnaturally quick. Fortunately, he had to pit a third time on lap 14, which handed me the win.

Unfortunately, the all-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair didn't help much with replenishing the funds - it spat out the 2nd-low-showing/2nd-lowest possible 30,000 Cr.

On the Plus account, I found the M3 GT3 too slow for Sardegna. The R.S.01 GT3, on the other hand, was fast enough to survive a sneeze-induced crash. On FM 3, it lasts 8 laps on fuel, and not much more on RH tires.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr., but it was enough to get the last 1,000,000-Cr. Toyota, the FT-1 VGT. That leaves just 3 VGTs (the 2 Volkswagens and the Zagato) at the 1,000,000-Cr. price.

Logged on and collected a cool 500k for predicting the championship winner, I'll take it over the wheel of pain landing on a high end exhaust for yet another car I have no desire to drive let along purchase.
Also finally got some time to finish this Chateraise 911 Carrera RS paint, the 1st in a set of 2 Chateraise vehicles I'm putting together.

Ran one WTC800 at Sardegna with the Sauber C9. Tried the 911RSR at Daytona, got up to 4th on the third lap, then I got collected in a three car crash in the bus stop. A victim of circumstance. Tough race.

The wheel spit out a muffler for a BMW safety car. Thanks. More scrap metal for a car I’ll never buy.

Bought the BMW McLaren F1 GTR from LCD for 10m credits.

441/442 cars.
Drove over 350 miles by grinding on Sardegna - I must've done at least 7 races. Now I have over 20m credits which is what I need for my last car: Ferrari 250 GTO '62 which should hopefully be available this week!

Continued buying official car paint jobs (last category I need) - have all red, green, yellow, orange, brown, purple and maybe one other colour. 😊

I won the Spa 1 hour race with it the other day. It wasn't that bad to drive.

I figure there must be something that I'm doing wrong with it as far as actually driving the thing, because it really makes no sense why the understeer is so inconsistent from one lap to the next.

Can you give a time you set with the controller? And what car, circuit, tires?
