What did you do in GT7 today?

After re-inputting all of the PP changes (and every single car I own had a change) into my spreadsheet, I finally got down to business on the GTP account. I first bought four each of the Amuse NISMO 380RS Super Leggera, 1991 Honda Beat, 2018 Subaru BRZ STI Sport and 2016 Toyota 86 GT"Limited" for current and future engine purposes, widening 2 each of the latter 3 cars, and putting some bonus K20 engines in the Beats. I then bought the 2002 Honda NSX and 2017 Honda NSX out of sequence (I'm focusing on legendary cars, of which I have 11 left to get) to complete that extra menu (I already had the cars for the other extra menu), and the 1973 Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R and 1980 Maserati Merak SS out of Hagerty's because I had the money and they were there.

I ditched those two cars in favor of an engine-swapped/widened 1989 Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX to do the new menu book. It is too greasy with an otherwise-stock setup, so I slapped some aero and racing parts on it, re-learned how to drive Goodwood, and managed a 1.5-second win in 7:20. Spa was much easier, yielding a 6.6-second win in 8:35. The Nurburgring was similarly easy, with an 8.2-second win in 8:15, but with a slide off near the end to ruin the clean race bonus.

I figured that was enough driving for the day, so I hit up Luca for the trio of tickets of Despair, to go along with the 4-star Wheel of Despair from the grind. The marathon Despair despaired, giving a computer for the Lexus LC500, the all-cash menu Despair also despaired, giving the lowest-showing/lowest-possible 10,000 Cr., the parts Despair gave a Stage 5 weight reduction for the GranTurismo S, while the engine ticket yielded a Rampage engine.

On the Plus account, I dispensed with the PP check and bought all 4 new cars as, on that account, I had the credits, I'm prioritizing low-priced cars, and all of them are under the 1,200,000 Cr. the next-cheapest Brand Central car on the list costs. I already had all the cars for the new extra menus, so I went straight to the cafe to do the new menu book. I didn't have a car that was very close to the PP, so I tuned up the C4 Corvette with all the bolt-on power parts, a full-custom transmission, racing brakes/pads/clutch, max aero, and a roll cage. I polished off Goodwood in 7:17, Spa in 8:36, and Nurburgring in 8:17.

The Wheels of Despair gave the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. on the workout 4-star, the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. on the menu book 4-star, the Mustang GT engine on the engine Despair, and titanium rods/pistons for the Toyota Crown Athlete Safety Car on the parts Despair.

8 tickets, one decent prize. It could be worse, but I don't see how.

Cleared out the new Menu books that became available with the 1.25 update. I also played the new 950pp race at Fuji. It was pretty much all Gr1 cars so I decided to go a little different and used the Super Formula with RH tires.....I don't remember if I needed to detune it a bit to get it under 950. But ended up catching up to 1st by the next to last lap and taking the win in the 2nd attempt. The fist attempt it started raining in the middle of the race and I got caught out exiting the pits for fuel on RH and it started pouring 1/2 way into the lap and I was screwed. 2nd attempt was dry the whole race.

Bought almost all the new cars from the update, bought another 962C and burn through the new menu and started grinding again. Only 1 car left from the Legends that I needed.

Finished all the new events and now up to 4 mil again. I want to make 5 mil my minimum, so I'll need to get to 15 mil before the F1 leaves again...

Logged in to check the update, was pissed the Miata was not the 181bhp model :/ Like come on guys, really?!
Got a ultra turbo for the GT-R Safety Car, neat I guess.
Brought 2 of the C110 Skylines for track testing and painted up one in a slightly obscure livery:

Nothing special... but downloaded the new update and bought all the new cars... and got two tickets from the cafe races since I already own every car... of course got some weak roulette prizes like the usual engine swap and an ultra turbo

Yeah, 3 new events that are fun, i took the BMW M3 , first race was with wets because it's been a few months since i really played the game, not a problem of course, just a bit more fun to slide.

Ended up with a few tickets, and the wheel of misfortune did NOT disappoint, an engine, i never do swaps, and a 6 star carbon item for a AMG Mercedes.. i have not being waiting for that one. A great invite for a Lambo VGT, cool stuff, here is chance to spend one million credits on car that we don't really have so much you can do with, thanks!

And the final ticket, the lowest credits on the wheel, MISSION COMPLETED, see you in a month

Once the update had finally downloaded and installed, I had a look around at the new content. I had all the Silvias, so opened the ticket from that and got a Bore Up S for the Honda NSX '02 (which I have yet to buy for that collection). Then it was off to Tokyo in the S14 to try out the new Silvia Sisters race - easy win and CRB.

Then I decided to try out the new Historic Sports Cars menu and started with the Goodwood race in my Sriracha-liveried Ferrari 308 GTB which I had to reduce the tune slightly to get it down to 579-ish. I really struggle with keeping that car from oversteering like mad, so it was a tricky few laps trying to snake through the field and work my way to the front - which I did on the final right-hander, then binned it into the left on the chicane like a complete amateur and ended up second, 5s behind a Miura.

After that race, with the 308 being such a handful, I opted to use the 911 (930) at Nurburgring, completely stock. It took a couple of minutes to adjust my driving style - getting used to the tendency to lift-oversteer and the braking points are so different, but I eventually managed to tame the car and got it up the front past the Countach leading the field just after YouTube Corner. I kept it clean from there and won fairly easily in the end.

Enjoying it so much, I took it to the livery editor and adorned it with a livery that is going to be 100% love it or hate it, based on the livery concept below by Yago Design. I gave it a mild tune, so I could attempt to reduce the oversteer and play with the brakes a bit, and then took it to Spa. My tune needs work because it oversteers even more now! But I kept it mostly under control and managed to hold on for a relatively easy win.

The three races here were a lot of fun, and I've not used the vast majority of the cars which are eligible for this series, so I think I'll work my way through the viable options (including the Merak when I buy it) and get some more mileage on my classics!

Golded two S licences but failed miserably on the Super Formula one. I'm so far off I'm not sure I will ever manage it.
Bought the 4 new cars, and entered one of the new Goodwood races where I smashed a Ferrari 308 into a chicane wall with my Ferrari GTO before winning the race. Good times indeed.

I’ve been doing the rally races in world circuits and got digging the dirt trophy, after doing the world rally challenge.I stopped doing the rally races cos I was struggling with them when the game first came out.

On the Plus account, the same hyper-tuned Silvia S15 that struggled in the menu book breezed to the win at the new Tokyo Silvia Sisters race in 5:38. Meanwhile, I had to detune the LM55 Gr.1 (Suzuka tune, specifically) to get it back under 950 PP. It took many aborted attempts as heavy rain came between laps 3 and 5 (I ended up pitting for full wets on lap 4, with most others pitting for intermediates then), but I won in 16:51. Of course, there was no CRB, and the 4-star roulette gave a ultra-high rpm turbo for the RE Amemiya.

On the GTP account, the engine-swapped/aero-tuned S15 I used earlier was just as effective, finishing the Tokyo Silvia Sisters in 5:36. I modified the Suzuka tune for the 962 C to add top speed, and I still eventually needed to turn traction control on to 1 to get the not-clean win on a dry track (with a stop for fuel and tires on lap 5) in 15:23. The 3-star Wheel of Despair's low-showing 10,000 Cr. barely paid for the oil change and wash.

As the Red Pig came back into Hagerty's while I was on the GTP account, I went back to the Plus account to buy it there.

Ran the G1 race (950pp) at Fuji with the Tomahawk. Was raining cats and dogs from lap 3 until the end. The Wets lasted the whole 8 laps. Now that's how rain should be applied in the game, not like at LeMans with it's black ice.

Also ran one at Sardegna with the C9, (had to lower it's pp almost 14 points). And one race at LeMans with the P330, (it's pp stayed the same). The weather is broken there again. Solid light green on the map was a downpour with icy traction on IM's. And stayed icy as the track dried out. Any damp spots must've been oil slicks. It was the worst I've seen yet.

Got 10k from the wheel.

Spent a bit of time last night tuning my 787B-swapped widebody RX-8 to finally take my first ever win at Tokyo WTC600!! It wasn't a comfortable win, but it was enough (27:38 and 13s lead).

Daily roulette gave me 30k.

Hopped into my FC RX-7, slapped a widebody on it and tuned it for the WTC600 championship series. Easily took the first race, second race I lost out by 6s but took 2nd place, and the third race I had two horrendous incidents at CoD and ended up just taking 2nd place. But that was enough for the series win, so 100k bagged. That took me into Saturday morning, technically, so I got a roulette ticket, this time a 6 star! Aaaand 500k credits! So that was a fairly productive hour or so!!

Then I bought another Honda Beat to drop in the FK8 engine... only to find I don't have another FK8 engine! Sad times! Gave it a wide body and a Beats livery anyway, in readiness for an eventual FK8 engine...

And then put a Starbucks livery on my 13B-swapped Cappucino, because, why not?

Finally finished to upload my last video. It's a remaster of the Night Endurance from the first Gran Turismo game. Had to make 10 replica with the closest setup as possible, then i putted the european game music in the edit. It's also my first video recorded with a Elgato, it make really good video but wtf my finished project was so loud (+90go).

Did some of the menu races I didn't care to do before. Basically, the Dailys this week are boring so I am not much interested in them. Figured I'd do some 1P stuff since I haven't in months. Anyway, Silvia Sisters and Historic are complete.

The Silvia Sisters I used my S15 and it was pretty boring. For the Historic I used the old school Countach at Spa... but even with better tires, brake balance, and ballast it was still a snappy nightmare on the brakes. So, for Goodwood and Nords I used the 89 300Z. What a blast that car was. There wasn't a lot you can do and keep it under the 580PP limit, but I did the weight reduction to level 3, the SS tires, mid-tier suspension, and brake pads. The car had just enough rotation to keep things interesting and was very easy to correct for nice slides through corners; Nords was especially fun. Was also nice to be able to use my stick shift attachment again as it's not allowed in Sport Mode.

Next was doing some CEs on both accounts. Knocked off a couple low hanging fruit on the 2 account for some extra cash beating my original 1 account times by a ton. Then did some on the 1 account I never bothered to before: all the Willows, Suzuka, and Autopolis golded.

Another 650 kms on daily B. Bathurst delivers the goods. Hopefully we stay on real tracks next week as well! Maybe at nurburgring gp? Would be awesome. Roulette gave me 500k which was nice as online racing doesnt have any money in it.

On the Plus account, I took the new Nismo GT3 to Sardegna. It has enough fuel, and I think enough tire, to do a 1-tire-change 6-5-4 strategy, but I took tires on the second stop as well. It wasn't particularly quick - my best laps were barely under 1:43, but I won in 27:08.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the usual lowest-possible 10,000 Cr., so I didn't get a new car.

On the GTP account, I took the McLaren 650S GT3 fitted with RS tires from a previous WRS time trial to Sardegna. Surprisingly, the soft tires lasted 5 laps, and even though Mendoza was unusually quick, I nipped him at the line in 26:59.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave...wait for it...wait for it...the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. (I actually typed it before I even opened the ticket), but I now have enough to get the Mazda 787B when it returns to Hagerty's.
