What did you do in GT7 today?

Had a spare hour and a half at lunchtime.

- Did the 600PP GVH race with the Celica Rally Car. Wasn't even fair, that car makes mincemeat of its opponents and the track itself.

- Did the new Sunday Cup Classic race at Laguna Seca in my stock (apart from wheels) mk1 Golf GTI.

- Did the Monza Hypercar race in my 787b-powered RX7.

- Got 30 grand from my 4-star roulette spin.

- Ran the HSR Clubman Cup race in a slow but fun RX8 I have. For whatever reason the fast opponent in that race was the modded Beetle.

Had some fun with Sophy, did the 17 lap online race on the ring and finally got the platinum trophy with these 2 pictures!

I tried the new VGT at Sardegna twice and once at LeMans. It doesn't seem to work for me. I think the problem is the battery runs out to quickly and you feel that in the acceleration as it starts to be much slower. After that I took out on reliable the Aston Martin VGT to LeMans. Then I opened the two 5* tickets and one 4 * I had waiting. Got 16 AMG Gr3, 100k & 30k from the wheel

On the GTP account, after buying 4 Nissan R34s for future engine purposes and widening 2 of them, I hit the new races and circuits. First up was the Sunday Cup Classic at Laguna Seca. As I want to keep one of each of the used cars on this account stock, and I dipped to only 14 million Cr., I used one of the VW Golfs destined for an engine swap (otherwise stock), as I remembered one of the AI opponents used one. It was an easy, clean overkill even though both Citroens stared out 4th/5th (4:11, 2.8 seconds ahead of Bonelli's DS). The other Golf finished 4th, 24 seconds back.

I then went to Grand Valley. The Circuit Experience went far faster than yesterday, though I had enough mileage to get a 5-star ticket. The all-cash wheel gave the 4th-smallest showing/2nd-highest possible 500,000 Cr.

I didn't play fair this time in the races. My ex-Tokyo Nissan R33 blitzed the Japanese Clubman Cup and WTC 600 events, both with clean race bonuses. I stuck with the Nissan theme for the Historic Sports Car Masters, using an engine-swapped and tuned 300ZX. That was too close and not-quite-clean, as I nipped a 1988 Lamborghini Countach that started out front at the line. The American Sunday Cup fell relatively easy and cleanly with the Shelby GT350R.

The Gr.1 race was extremely difficult. I used a detuned Red Bull X2019 Competition with RH tires. It wasn't fast enough to do a no-stop run (on FM6), or a 1-stop with a tire change, but it barely was fast enough to do a dirty 1-stop/no tire change run.

On the Plus account, I decided not to go after Sophy. Instead, I did the Sardegna/Sarthe double with the Ferrari 458 Italias. The GT3 starts to lose the back end at the end of each 5-lap stint, but it's fast enough to get an easy win on normal. I doubt the Gr.4's ability to win a dry Sarthe, but it wasn't exactly dry.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr. for a second consecutive day.

Ran the Honda F1 at LeMans. Ran Tsukuba against Sophy. I won on Intermediate. I'll never be fast enough to win on Expert. Received another Bugatti Veyron invite. That's my 4th one. Still don't want it.

Bought the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and drove it on Grand Valley. Bought the Honda RA272 and drove it on the Nurburgring. I then did a few of the GT Sophy races.

I tuned up the Citroen DS. I spent a Sportcarā€™s worth of tuning on it and turned it into a beast. Interestingly the PP system for this car is glitched and actually decreases as you add racing parts to it!

The car is hilarious now. Itā€™ll quite happily compete and beat modern cars (in the hands of the crap AI) in the WTC 600 races. I find it funny that a 1970 Citroen will beat Porsches and Lamborghinis. :D

I painted my DS in 1970ā€™s brown and black alloys. Itā€™s a monstrosity and I love it. Perhaps because that was the year I was born.
:gtpflag:

Did a good amount of grinding today, ending with 70 million credits. I discovered that you could detune the MP4/4 to 800pp and I ran that at Sardegna a number of times. Strange that the MP4/4 is the only race car I could find that doesnā€™t have a programmable ECU, somehow the race cars from the 60ā€™s all have racing computersā€¦

Busy last few days so today I bought the 300 SL Coupe 1954 and the pennzoil Skyline R34 GT-R GT500 1999.

Today I also bought a bunch of gr4/gr3 cars I didn't have yet. I also finished buying 20 X-Bow R 2012, then discovered I haven't bought the Mono 2011 so they'll be my next 20 of car.

Today I grinded Le man its been the only one I'm grinding since I can easily do it with my p1 gtr so I haven't grind Sardegna or spa and have no interest in doing so ever again.

Today I reach 400 cars in my garage and 280/459 collected.

4 - Star Ticket of nightmare and despair gave me a second A110 Premier Edition 2017.

Did the Manufacturers cup, at the evil NGP rather than the universally loved New Grand Valley

Second attempt at GTWS round 1 was my 150th online race in GT7. Have never really raced online extensively in any game before, so feels like a big milestone for me. Well done to PD for creating a mode that doesn't discourage novices like me.

Grinded the wtc700 le mans for money need to get back up to 20 millions before next legendary car dealer update comes I have this thing for classic cars so first did it in the new honda f1 car then the ford gt40 then the ford gt lm2 or wuts its name the one that won the 67 le mans and then in my lamborghini miura I really wish polyphony would make other tracks more profitable I feel like all I am ever doing is grinding the le mans track over and over again so I can collect all the classics and hopefully some day soon do a custom classics 60ies le mans race in psvr2 xD

Took the DS around Laguna Seca in the new race there, won by miles. Headed over to GVH and attempted to win the classics 580PP race with a stock 901 RS but failed miserably after 3 attempts (couldn't get closer than 8s). Jumped into my E30 Evo and kept losing the rear end on the two or three of the corners - needs a good tune! Jumped into the Ferrari 365 and managed to win fairly easily!

Then jumped into my 458 Italia GT3 and adorned it with an incredible livery by @Gingerale and ran two rounds of Sardegna, winning both by miles and looking great while doing so!

Then I went back to my garage and opened the roulette ticket I got from trying (and failing) at GVH in the Porsche...

So in this order, after the update 1.29 was downlaoding and I backed up my save on a USB, no PS plus (for cloud backups) lol.

  • Did a short race in my 69' Love bug Herbie Beetle with the Porsche engine at Laguna Seca.
  • Took some nice snaps on the new Drfit Scapes feature. - very cool!
  • Took my 918 for a spin on Death valley, I mean the new Grand Valley highway, lol. Felt like driving in the states, as I stuck to the right hand side most of the time, wish I had a VR headest for that it a very nice track layout with cool panoramic views. then did the south variant.
  • Did a Sophy race with the VTEC Integras at Tsukaba, lost first then ace'd the Expert and Beginner battle races and more to do tomorrow which would be today if I posted this late. :D
Good times so far look forward to more Grand valley races and attacking that CE.

Just ran the Gran Valley GR1 series, 10 laps with the Tomahawk VGT GR1, RM's FM 1 all race, pitted end of lap 6.
Sunset slowly setting I'm, what a beautiful race!, had to kind of push for it and win by 4 seconds, alot of fun!

The wheel gave me a.......aah never mind... šŸ˜„

I did the same with the Tomahawk S VGT. I was surprised it was only a one stop race. Would have thought the Tomahawk would burn through more fuel but it didn't. Easy win...

1. Sat down to play with the express goal of golding the Road Atlanta track experience.

I have no idea why I struggled so much with this. I golded the individual sectors within a couple of tries, but the whole lap just wouldn't come together. Got it eventually. I don't like the Beetle.

2. Took my 1,015,000cr from Road Atlanta and my 5000cr. () roulette spin over to Brand Central to buy the GT500 cars for that one extra menu.

"You just spent 2.4 million credits on cars for a menu? Best I can do is an engine and the chance to spend 6 million credits on a bunch of useless Bugattis."

Gee thanks, GT7.

3. Rolled my eyes super hard, remembered why I'd been putting that menu off for so long, shut off my PS5 and went to get ready for work.

After a few days away for work and preparing for a big work meeting, I came back in time to get the Ferrari GTO and the Sauber C9 before they sold out. Then jumped onto Sardegna for a few rounds of grindage in the Mustang Gr.3 to start raising funds for the GT40 (before it sells out in a few days) and then need to grind like mad to get that McLaren! @Spook_ how does it drive? Is it worth the expenditure??
Good evening @MidnightRun85 apologies for the late reply dude. Hows the GT40 fund raising going? No rest for the wicked and not enough Cr in the GT world for my obscene spending. Currently sitting around the 56 milli mark, you can imagine the graft :/ lol.

McLaren GTR - BMW '95

Tell you the truth... iv put around 37miles on the clock since i brought it! But i loved it... its a little playful.. it wanted to be driven hard.. its raw.. straight into attack mode! so much potential from the short drive i had. It does need a little tweaking, standard bits, gears etc.

Tonight, I'm going to do these tweaks and take it for a few laps :)

It went well! I managed to get up to 24 mils and bought the GT40 and the McLaren. Nearly back up to 10 mils now, but will be buying the 330 and 250 this week... a lot of grinding is required!

Quite a lot of things to talk about today! First things first I wanted to do a bit of racing on the Grand Valley circuit so I started with the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 on the South layout. Decided I'd do it in the AE86 Levin that I had used for Human Comedy and then tuned up to 600pp.

20970795659851980.jpg

Won the race with ease, and given that it's a 600pp car and that one of the races was the WTC600 on the full course, that was naturally the next step. As much as this car was useless on Tokyo 600pp, as deadly it was on GV. Ate through them all despite Haywood in the Huracan always attempting at my life and making me lose the CRB. Won by 10 seconds anyways and moved on to the American Sunday Cup 600, which I attempted with a full stock 580-something PP Corvette C8 that I had never driven before. Everyone was basically a mobile chicane except for Solis in the Viper, with whom I've had a very fun last lap and eventually overtook.

Now it was time for the Historic Car Masters, for which I decided to bring back my psychopathic pocket rocket, the 578pp Autobianchi A112 Abarth.

20970311644436725.jpg

With this insane small car I had already beaten the menu related to this series, and so much fun it was to drive in in GV! It's completely unpredictable, she's oversteering as if it was a RWD and all of a sudden it's aiming for a wall, and the turbo whistle is sooo powerful! Love it, love every second spent driving it! Only race missing was the Gr.1 event which I did in the Mazda LM55 VGT, on FM6 it can complete the whole race without pit stop but it needs a tire change, so I did a couple laps on FM6, then down to 4, and eventually down to 1. Gallo was my only rival since he doesn't pit but he couldn't stand a chance when I went to FM1, so I brought home the (very low) payout.

Speaking of which, I still needed money since all these races were fun but not rewarding, so I took on Le Mans. Remember the stock C8 mentioned before? Well she's not so stock anymore.

20970575518548721.jpg

This is utterly insane: fast as hell, handles nicely, and it's the most gentle car I've seen on the tires, I've done the whole race on the original set of RH and pitted (twice) only for fuel, with the last stop being nothing more than a splash and go. What a car! And with the 825k won this way, I bought the third and last car from the new update:

20230223_232721.jpg

Now I have them all except for the Italdesigns, but I couldn't care less about hybrid VGTs so I can call it a day. Next in line are, not in this specific order, the GT500 Skyline, Benz 300 SL and Enzo.

Wheel of (Mis)Fortune today was a 4* and gifted me a 2019 GR Supra which I didn't have, probably gonna look for a 600pp Tokyo setup for it.

On the Plus account, I ran the Ford Mustang Gr.3 at Sardegna. It's not the fastest, the most nimble or the most efficient, but it got the job done. The 3-star Wheel of Despair (the 7th of the month) gave the low-showing 10,000 Cr. on an all-cash wheel.

On the GTP account, I used the Aston Martin DB9R again at Sardegna. The...wait for it...3-star Wheel of Despair was even worse than the Plus account - it gave the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr.

Did a few Sardegna grinds, last one with the Honda RA272 for which I found a decent setup for. Won it too. That thing has fuel for days and on RH tires, you can do it without any stops. Not as easy as my normal grind, but very very doable. I might grind that race more often with that car.

Bought the Porsche Spyder type just in time from LCD. I love my classics. It just went out of stock.
Got a 3 star ticket for doing the daily distance. 10K credit...., which was (obviously) the lowest on the wheel of torment.

What did I do today? My pulse is still thru the roof....!!!
