What did you do in GT7 today?

Today I started by trying out a 600pp tune for the 370Z that a friend of mine gave me, I tried it immediately on Tokyo but to no avail, the car is too slow on the long straight. On any other track it's incredibly fun and quick though.

After a bit of just-for-fun racing it was once again time to grind. Master Praiano made a tune for the ND Roadster with the C7 swap so I immediately put that to good use, since I already had the car fully upgraded but never driven it.

Insanity's all I can say. Fast, fun, owns Le Mans better than any other I've taken there. Thanks Master for finally letting me enjoy this beast. After that I gave Human Comedy Maggiore a try but to no avail, I'm still too slow on that track and will probably have to DualSense it (not looking forward to one hour of pad driving...), so decided to call it a day by buying a Hagerty car that I was missing.

No Wheel of (Mis)Fortune since I already got my ticket yesterday, by driving after midnight.

Still no custom race today because I had to grind for these 4 cars I bought from the LCD:

  • Ferrari P330
  • Ferrari 250GT
  • Shelby Cobra Daytona
  • Aston Martin DB5

Back to poverty.

Then I spent 22 roulette tickets that I had accumulated over the days. All the rewards I received were the worst. Every single one of them...

So sorry...

Grind Tokyo then LeMans to recoup some of the money I dropped on all the 1.29 cars. Bought another Silvia for the new swap for it and base tuned it at Grand Valley. Hit Sardegna because it’s been a while, then opened my 3 star to no surprise the reward was 5,000 credits.

Still messing around with all 3 cars from the GT Menu Book 1 Collection: Japanese Compact Cars.

Toyota Aqua S '11
Honda Fit Hybrid '14
Mazda Demio XD Touring '15

I want all 3 cars kept stock power, stock weight & stock ride height. Just trying to get them driving better. Currently using adjustable ride height sports suspension & custom LSD. I'm pretty close but don't have the patience to sit for hours tuning, so takes me longer nowadays.

Oh boy......this does hurts 🤣🤣, it so weird, since I bought all of them, I almost never have seen invitations again, for me it's just almost always the lowest money ticket 🤣 altho I did win carbon brakes for the FXX I already had out of a 5 star 😏🤣🤣

Not really convinced there is a car that has 600pp (on sports hard) that is too slow for Tokyo I had a look on the list of cars that I never would touch for a good reason (they wouldnt work for sure ;)).
On its own the Swift with my configuration reaches around 270km/h, with a good pull I had 1 lap of 290km/h.

Okay, that is not first, but it was not a lack of power, instead it was this:
1677364698130.png

Yes, that is sports hard, no, that is not on the final lap, but after 10 laps with 2 to go and no time to spare on a change.
The timeloss actually stems from not being able to accelerate up to 160km/h but crawl to pass this barrier, afterwards the car "could compete" for as much as it is worth.

On said configuration, on the straight I was being passed as if I was standing still by every other car, from the Viper that always finishes last, to the DB-11, and was losing on the straight only about 5 seconds per lap; and I can't even blame my poor driving skills since it's a straight, everybody can just floor it down. So can the 370Z win at Tokyo? Possibly. With my friend's setup? Definetly no. I'll try and look for a better 600pp tune maybe, one that fits Tokyo.

Done my usual Sardegna runs, with the RA272 on RH FM4, won easily without stops. Cashed in the Daily Horror ticket, 30K credits, which was the second lowest on the Wheel of Terror.
Bought the Toyota GR010 Hybrid '21. Took it for a run across several tracks. World of difference once you're used to driving the RA272.
Out of the box I managed to do a sloppy 3:22 at La Sartre, but it needs some tuning to suit my style and be faster.

On the GTP account, I ground Sardegna with the Subaru BRZ GT300. The all-cash 5-star Wheel of Despair gave the middle-showing/lowest-possible 100,000 Cr.

On the Plus account, it was the Honda NSX's turn at the Grindy Double. The Gr.3 managed a close win using a 6-5-4 lap two-tire-change strategy. The 3-star Wheel of Despair (the 8th in 23 play days this month) gave not even the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr, not even a part that is the top of the line among purchaseable parts, but a semi-racing muffler.

Nothing yet still waiting for the coffee and cigarettes to kick in and make me more awake and alert :D

But I am planning on doing some 1hour spa rounds because that track was soo amazing in VR and I am a little shy of the 20 millions I need so I am prepared for the next legendary car dealer update :)

Maybe I throw in some sport online races as well later on but since I am totally green in that department I kinda hold back a little since they sap alot of stamina and the guys driving the porsches are running circles around me :D

Update: so did my first stint of the day on the 1 hour spa and came in 2nd only because on the last lap I thought I could wait the timer out near the finish line and I wouldn't have todo another lap on my worn out tires...

however mendoza was alot closer to me then I knew at the time so he overtook me and I had to give chase so one more round on worn out tires and a tedious second place all thanks to not being able to see time to guys behind you or in front of you in VR mode also their pitstrategi would have helped alot :(

Oh yeah and my 3 star roulette ticket netted my a tidy sum 5000cr so that is a car wash and a cup of coffee not a great start to the day in GT7
:D

Today I finally bought the Honda RA272 tune it up with a middle Turbocharger 411hp took it to le man since its the only race I know grind to recoup some of the credits I spend on this car.

The first 2 laps were a disaster I just couldn't control this car at all, Its fast over 200 mph fast and under braking its uncontrollable I was spinning out, going off road and missing breaking zones left and right, the ai was leaving me in the dust.

In the 3rd lap I switched the FM to 6 to try and slow it down and it was still hitting over 195mph but by the 3rd lap I finally got control of it and figure it out. I was able to then catch the ai and leave then way behind for a easy win of course a rain storm help.

Overall I give the Honda RA272 a 7/10 car really needs down force of some kind. :)

Oh yeah I also got a 3 star. :irked:

The honda can be a bit tricky when tuned but when you move brake balance to -3 that helps quite alot also don't trailbrake in that thing or your off to the moon xD

the wtc700 le mans is my favourite grinding course because you can use all kinds of road cars and haywood ALWAYS near crash at tertre rouge corner for some reason xD

But we need other tracks worth grinding as well it becomes quite a chore to do the le mans over and over and over again :embarrassed:

On the Plus account, the weather adversely affected my plans with the NSX Gr.4 at Sarthe. It is just about efficient enough to do a 4-lap run, but the rain came before the end of lap 2, and it turned into a 2-stop race. The funny thing is, it didn't affect McEwen, even though there was an extended yellow flag for a spinner on lap 3. The good thing was the NSX was fast enough to still take 1st.

The 9th 3-star marathon roulette for the month (out of 24 marathon tickets; all but the other 2 were 4-star) was actually moderately kind - it gave me a Chevrolet Corvette C8. I hung onto it for now.

On the GTP account, I took the Plus prize as a sign and used the Chevrolet Corvette Gr.4 at Sarthe. Despite the drenching from the end of lap 2 (when half of the field joined me on rain tires, some on full wets like me) through lap 5, it required 7 laps to complete as Haywood (who survived on IMs from lap 2/3 through lap 6, and punted me from the lead in Indianapolis on lap 6) and Mendoza (the top AI car to take full wets on lap 2, coming from 5th right behind me, despite the track being not even 1/3rd wet at that point) made it to their pit stalls at the end of lap 6/start of lap 7 before the clock ran out. The tire strategies of McEwen (RH until the end of lap 5, when inexplicably he came down for IMs as the track was less than 1/3rd wet and drying, and had a disastrous pit entry), Portilla, Sugawara and Healy (RH throughout for each) were strange to say the least.

The...wait for it...3-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 10,000 Cr. It could have been worse.

Well let's see..

Grinding a LOT at TM, stackin' $$$$, until GV broke out.. as all of you know by now, the graphics are absolutely amazing!.. the track is taking a bit of getting used to, but so far I dig it.. have taken a few of the NWSaint/BB fleet out for some test runs.. started with the 14 Golf/GTI just to get a feel for the track, but since then have run about half a dozen different rides, all doing things differently.. & speaking of which, i'm totally dig'n on my newest sound setup.. JBL earbuds (JBL tour Pro + TWS true wireless) to the phone at about 60% (noise cancelling on) & Sony over the ear headphones piped into the PS4 via bluetooth @ 95%.. this way i'm getting the sound of my choice of music (https://www.laut.fm/deep_depot) as my background with the Sony's/PS4 giving me full-on sound of GT.. awesome combo!

But as far as GV goes, again, taking a bit of getting used to, but yeah, it's nice.. especially doing TT's with my 2 fav. rides..

The Enzo & the RUF!

I'll try to get some vids up soon.. just been super busy with life .. be good gentlemen, check ya soon..

PS: what kind of times are you guys pullin' ???? (setup & car)

.. setup meaning PS4/PS5/VR/wheel-pedals..

.. me personally i'm old school (if it ain't broke.. LoL).. PS4/DS4/65" LG..

With how "bad" it went before, I took the general approach to fix the problem ahead.
Add LSD, dont worry about any finetuning and just slam the values ad 5/60/6 and results do follow.
Tyres were lasting 1 additional lap, acceleration was better, car drives like an ice-skater, but with someone pulling me allong on the straight, P1 finish.

800PP 1 hour race at Spa medium difficulty with my 746PP Corvette C6.
I had to pit every 6 laps - the second time I stopped for tires I put on intermediates when suddenly the wind changed and the rain disappeared. I was doing laps 4-5 seconds slower in the dry and had to pit again losing a lot of time.
Despite this mistake, despite the appetite of the V8 for fuel, despite the fact I used only racing hards and intermediates and despite the race being completely dry I ended up with an almost 1 minute lead. :D

I did not think I could win this race with a non racecar but boy was I wrong. Also did the fastest lap with 2:16 on racing hards.

- Ran the Le Mans and Sardena credit grinders.

- Ran a bunch of random WTC 700 and 800 events

- Bought a second Carrera RS and a 918 Spyder. Only bought the 918 for the menu.

- Got an engine on the wheel of death.

Just a couple more tries at the Human Comedy Maggiore mission with the RX Vision, this time with the DualSense. It's frustrating beyond limits given how dirty the AI is, they just ram and divebomb me all the time, really got fed up with this whole Human Comedy thing...and the lead car is too fast anyways, can't catch up. Made enough tries to get my usual 4* wheel of crap ticket which gave me a 30k as usual. Meh.

Did a bit of dirt racing to get that trophy, then grinded a couple Tokyo runs to get enough credits to buy the Audi TDI Gr1 car. Took the photo of it at La Sarthe, got that trophy and finally got the Platinum trophy for GT7.

Did career mode with "Luca", the dude who tells you what to do/get.
Also found this platform.... NooB!!
So small introduction: i recently picked up racing again. Used to race in a Dutch League on XBOX' FM7 and Project Cars, but that was about 4 years ago. So yeah, my friendlist is almost empty. Feel free to add me: Surreallistic79

Hope to see lots of you on timetables/leaderboards for comparison. And perhaps some competition in the future.

Well after months of crushing and grinding, I finally achieved GOLD and am well chuffed to do so. I acheived GOLD on the S10 license with the Porsche 917K at SPA!

I did it on a DUALSENSE controller with no aids/hud assists and TCS at lv2 and it was a miracle at that lol. My time was pretty quick considering and I didn't even realise how smooth it was till I got to the end. my time was 2min 25.44 at best....

I have added just the screenshot here, but can upload a clip later on once I get the lap recorded it off my PS5.

Hope you all share my enthuasism in this goal as it took me a while on the Dualsense!
Only minor annoying thing was I got a Red bull Competition model for all GOLD licenses, but had a 25th anni version and standard 2014 Red bull car already lol.

Today was TT day at Grand Valley testing my Top 10 road cars tuned for 700PP; no swaps allowed, only stock engines but fully tuned of course. All running on RH tires, and tuned per Praiano's tunes except for the Hyundai Genesis, Toyota Supra 3.0 GT and Jaguar F-Type which are my own personal tunes. Different behaviors and feeling all around, the Genesis is a big surprise as is the underdog in this list but I love it because it's on rails! The Jag was an unexpected surprise finishing second and so was the Corvette finishing last.

Positions 1 thru 6 are actually still in debate because I am sure I can shave a second or two per car. All cars were ran for four laps. Will repeat this TT session and see how much I can improve these times. Even so, this is actually both fun and so gratifying!!
