What did you do in GT7 today?

Came home from work disgruntled and unable to sleep, so a bit past midnight I jumped on.

- Used my Bugatti VGT to do Menu 41, after some tweaks to get it just below 850pp.

- Learned what it's like to drive a school bus with a Saturn V rocket strapped to it.

- Won the races, got my 6* ticket for that and my 4* for the daily.

- Got THE SHAFT for some car I don't own on the 4*. Great.

- Got a million credits on the 6* at least.

- Bought the Merak SS from Legend Cars.
- Did the Menu 42 races using the most cheatingest cars I could so I could win all 3. Got a Blind Melon for the conditions at Suzuka which made my life way easier.

- Got a Porsche VGT fuggomobile from my 6* ticket.

- REEEEE'd super hard and immediately sold the Porsche.

- Had just enough cash to buy the 60s Honda F1 car.

- Sighed at my 24k credit balance and decided I'd start the GRIND tommorrow.

I'm probably gonna buy it tonight, I ended the day on a 2,98 mil balance and was wondering whether to go for the Enzo first, thus completing the Ferrari invitational cars (I have time until march 16th for that), or saving up for the MP4/4 first and completing the Honda extra menu. Probably gonna get the Enzo first anyways, it's too hot of a car.. (<---- you got that right)

You convinced me haha, I bought it! Which means I now have all three Invitation Ferrari and can now focus once again on the MP4/4. Obviously given that I bought a new and capable car, I wanted to include it in my grinding routine, so there she is transformed into a fully-fledged racecar at 800pp.

It's impressive in Sardegna, @praiano63's tune makes it a monster as soon as you familiarize with the braking points. Spun twice and still won by 46 seconds over Mendoza by running a two-stopper, what a car!

Other than this, on a more sad note, I tried a couple times Maggiore Human Comedy and the result was the same, utter frustration. I HATE that circuit, I HATE that event and most of all I HATE the stupid ramming AI. Wanted to attempt the CE to try and git gud, noticed I was missing the win in the Porsche Cup race, so took the 964 and cleared it; currently the car is at 649pp which means it's good only for the Porsche Cup; will probably clear them all and then try to take it to 700pp for Le Mans, unless I can find a 600pp Tokyo tune (unsuccessful so far).

Wheel of (Mis)Fortune was a 3* today and gifted me an incredibly yummy 10k, now I'm rich!

NICE!

.. 46 seconds! yeah, see.. the car is amazing.. keep playing with it.. you're going to love it more as each day goes by.. fast/quick/responsive, it is all that & then some.. if you can get yourself a #2 Enzo, just as a backup for down the line.. mine's sit'n in the garage, not even touched yet.... yet!

PS:

I dig that yellow.. no decals tho'.. gotta stay lo-pro, but that's just me.. LoL!.. your car is clean!

Done a few grind races at Sardegna for the usual cash farming. Then went to Spa to do the 60mins race. Never had the time to race for an hour in one sit, so this was a first timer for the hour long race. (yes, I know I can pause the game at will).
Fun race, good money, long sit. Went in with the Lexus SC430, RM FM6, got the rain at night time, went to get IM's and finished the race on them. 1 stop, lapped them all twice, because the AI was too stupid to go for IM's when it was a good idea.
Went back to Sardegna and tried a non stopper with the SC430. RH, FM6 got the job done, but almost 2 minutes slower overall than usual. So, that's not paying off. Took it really easy and my RH tyres didn't even wear down to 50%. Useless strat, but fun try.
I'll stick to the Hannah Schmidt way for Max Verstappen style races. 😂

The daily ticket was a 4 star and got me a Camaro ZL1 engine. Stuck it in the Tuscan and had some fun with it.

On the Plus account, I took the Hyundai Genesis Gr.4 to Sarthe. It's not fast enough to do a 2-stop run, but with a bit of fuel savings, it will do 4 laps on a tank of fuel, and it has just enough tire to last 7 laps. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr.

On the GTP account, I took an unmodified Red Bull Junior to Sarthe for a wet win. The rain held off until lap 5, and it was eventually hard enough to consider full-wets. Instead, I took intermediates along with most of the rest of the field. I decided to coast the last half of lap 7 to see if Portilla, who stuck it out on slicks, could improve on his 8th position after the 2nd cycle of pit stops for the field. He choked to a distant 9th.

The 3-star Wheel of Despair was no real help - it gave the low-showing 10,000 Cr. Still, with the race money, I bought six S14 Silvia K's Aeros for future engine purposes, widening 3 of them right away.

Waiting since apparently you can't play anything while server updates idk why my garage and world map races need to be connected to the internet for playing since it is essentially a offline mode but hey wut do I know I am just a pleb buying 70usd games....

Yeah, was planning to have a session on t the TT but instead because of the servers were offline tamed the new Honda RA272 at Grand Valley, after a few laps in cockpit-mode i realy like the way this car behaves, the braking is so much fun trying to glide-place it on to the apex, this is indeed a verry fun car to drive

So I just did the sadegna wtc 800 in the honda nsx gt500 that track is kinda growing on me especially after I got VR but I find you really need to be near the 800pp limit to stand a chance to win since your playing catch-up and there is 0 rain and you have 0 info on the enemies pit strategy but that said I really like that track now I might consider doing it as a regular money grind sure its less then le mans but its also only 25 mins but kinda alot more fun that or I just got mighty tired of grinding le mans :D

Wheel of misfortune netted me some piston rods for a car I don't use and I not understand why special tuning parts needs to be in the roulette would be better if they where a price for winning a race :)

Last night I started with a couple of attempts at the 950 PP Gr.1 race at GVH in the Red Bull 2019. Managed 4th in the first race and 7th in the second, trying different strategies. Yet to get it right!

Then jumped into the 458 GT3 and headed to Sardegna for a cash haul. Had a shocker. Had to restart three times after terrible mistakes! Rough race, but bagged some cash.

Then realised it was nearly midnight and I had 12 mins to get my entry in for the latest LEC, so quickly put my entry together and posted it. Go check out the latest poll in the Livery Editor forum, drop a vote on your faves if you fancy it!

Then I felt inspired to build the F8 Tributo GT3 car I had been thinking of, so I invested a small fortune on tuning parts and gave it a swanky livery.

It was late though, so I headed to bed.

This morning I got up early enough to do the nursery drop-off and still get time for a run at Sardegna, so I took the F8 Tributo. And it's awesome.

Another near-perfect @praiano63 tune, just adjusted for my drive style and final gear to give more acceleration. This is going to be a regular for me for the next few days!

A day of plenty.

That MP4/4 in the legendary dealer window ought to be safe for a while, but I grind to it anyway. That one car features two manufacturers who mean something to me - Honda and Mclaren. Bought it.

That completed my Honda collection and gave me the Honda powered SPF19 Super Formula.

Had a little left over so I picked up the Marek and Fairlady Z432.

And while I'm in lottery-win fantasy mode I couldn't resist a new DB11. Shaken, not stirred.

The roulette gave me a meaningless Citroen invitational. Meaningless cos I've already got the GT and meaningless cos with five new cars to play with I don't need any more. For now at least.

Now off to find some tracks for my new toys ... oh yes

Such a weird reward buy a 8M credits Old F1 car and receive a f1 car you can buy from BC for 1M credits.

Did PD run out of engine tickets to give out.

To be fair, giving us a guaranteed 1-million credit car is probably kinder than the potential of an engine roulette giving us another engine we already have (ie. if I get given another Coyote engine I might throw my PS4 off a cliff...)

To be fair some of us can use those engine tickets. :(

Not sure the relevance of that screen shot - none of those parts are engine parts (which are listed above the screen shot you took) and only one of the cars in that screen shot takes an engine swap (the BRZ at the bottom...)

Nonetheless, it's a fair point. It's just that in my experience, there's more chance of you getting something useless on a roulette, so a guaranteed 1 mil credit car sounds like a deal to me!

Engines would be right above parts and I have 0 engines is what I meant with that screenshot.

So yes I rather have the engine ticket then some car I can easily buy from BC.

Ah, I get ya now! I think I have over 100 engines "in stock" at the moment. Loads from the Bonanza days...

Um ... buying the MP4/4 and the Super Formula would have cost a total of 9 million credits.

Buying the MP4/4 for 8 million and getting the Super Formula for free costs 8 million credits.

Seeing as I wanted the MP4/4 and would have bought it anyway, I don't see what the problem is.

I was talking about the reward being weird as one would have to spend over 11M credits since you need all 3 F1 cars in order to get a F1 car that you can just buy from BC.

What I did today was applying Master Yoda’s lesson:

You must unlearn what you have learned!!

Finally got a PS5 today (😁😁) and GT7 is. Just. Another. Whole. Different. Experience. on the PS5! No more loading screens almost a minute long, no more LOD switch while racing, DualSense controls got me so hooked, I of course was aware about the feedback it gives but experiencing it is so surreal! Even went full 0 on TC getting myself acquainted with this new way of controlling the cars. So no serious races today, just getting a new muscle memory workout and simply enjoying such beautiful graphics in full 4K res…

Sardegna's a nice change of pace from Sarthe. The rabbits like the Viper and AMG can put up fast laps, but their pitting strategy negates their pace even on hard difficulty. As long as you can make it 6 laps before pitting and can average 1:39-ish laps or better, you'll win every time.

I prefer it as a grind race due to the wide breadth of cars that can win, so it breaks up the monotony better than the other two grind races. Road cars like the F1 and TVR Speed 6 are great for this event. The Renault Megane Gr4 (MR, not the FF which is, I believe, the Trophy. Server's still down so I can't check) is one of the most fun, in my opinion, as you're not going to have a 60sec+ lead at the start of the final lap. I've had races where I've won by half a car's length, and lost by the same amount.

Gr3 I like to run the real cars; DBR9 GT1 can put up laps close to Super GT cars, but even with a bespoke tune that car will try to kill you, so you have to work for it, which is always a good way to make that 25-27min fly by.

When it comes to just wanting to get it over with as quickly as possible, 787B, XJR9 (really any of the Group C's if setup properly for this track) Escudo, MP4/4, F1 Longtail, etc can put up some pretty impressive overall times. I've seen people claim sub-24min times, though I've only been able to get around 25min flat, but then I'm far from an alien in this game...

But yeah, it's a great race. Even if PD would mercifully add more races with the same time:credit ratio, I'd still run it often. It's a great track in that it's fairly easy to learn to run well enough to get the win, but quite hard to master (at least for me)

Well, that's one way of looking at it. For me, the reward for buying the MP4/4 is that I get ... an MP4/4. I would have bought it if it wasn't part of a menu book. To buy it and get a free 1 million credit car as well is a bonus.

Very few of the cars in the legendary dealership have a reward attached to them. We buy them because we want them or because we're ticking off every car in the game. Here we have a legendary car which is both desirable and has a reward.

Is it a problem that the reward car is available from the dealers? For me, it's the other way round. It would be a problem if the reward was an exclusive car that couldn't be won any other way. Then we would have people complaining that they want the reward car but don't want to spend 11 million credits to get it.

Managed to get 8 dumb trophies (the likes of "wash a car 10 times"), golded part of my licenses (B, A, iB), I have the iA but not golded atm. And I have to tackle S license.

Did some oval racing too, to progress forward to the trophy on ovals.

Did my first race in Sport Mode, Grand Valley with the Porsche 😁 only had time for one lap of qualif and ended up 3rd on the grid, nice ! Too bad I've been punted out of the track, I've finished 6 or 7, and got the trophy too. Did another race later, starting too thanks to another qualif lap a bit better. Got punted again and finished 5th. Begun to raise my sportmanship and driver rating. Clean race bonus too :)
Starting to set credits aside to buy the 330 P4 and I will have to buy the Jag and the Ford for the trophy legendary cars. Will be a lot of money... I need the Audi R18 TDI too...

To get the platinum trophy, I think the harder will be to gold all licenses (and get S first too). The most boring will be to take 100 photos (and I think you have to share them otherwise they don't count). The longer may the 3 legendary cars, as I'll need a lot of cash and wait for the cars too. And do 48 more races in Sport mode but I think it will come with time. Too bad the rewards are so low in Sport mode.

And doing all that, I've done 500km today, not bad, I don't think I've ever done so much.

Gasp : for all the cars I need to finish extra café menus and trophies, I'll need more than 40M Cr. (Only won 28M until now...)

Yes you do get a million dollar car but remember you have to already have that million dollar f1 car since its part of the menu book so you have to spent a million to buy the f1 car so it cancels out getting the car. I guess its pd way of giving you back a million I guess.

And to stay within the thread today I continue to buy new cars my car collection is up to 350/459 and like 500 or so cars in my garage and 98M to play with.

And the 4 star ticket stuff gave me 30k up from 10k "Moving on up"
