What did you do in GT7 today?

- Ran Sardena twice and Le Mans twice. I was only going to do Le Mans once but I flubbed a pit stop the first time and got RH tires instead of W's and ended up getting third.

- Got $30k on the Wheel of Eff You.

- Bought the 3 million credit Bugatti to finish that ticket. Now I just need the McLaren F1 car and the Porsche Speedster. Buying that also pushed me to collector level 50.

- I don't even know what engine the ticket gave me.

On the Plus account, I ran the Jaguar F-type Gr.4 at Sarthe. In stock form, on FM 1, and in my less-than-alien hands, it will do 4:20-4:21 while the fuel is able to last just under 3 1/2 laps, though the back tires are just about shot after 7 dry laps.

The...wait for it...3-star Wheel of Despair (the 23rd of 59 from the marathons this year, several more than the 17.7 expected, and also more than the pre-1.17 odds would suggest) gave...wait for it...the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr. (the 6th time this year, which, at least, is 2.2 fewer than expected from 23 3-star Wheels of Despair and just over 1 less than expected from 17.7).

On the GTP account, I collected my 250,000 Cr. for getting bronze in the old online time trial. I then rented a 911 for the current one, setting a high-bronze time that was just under a second off the silver cutoff. I doubt I'll hunt for that second since I expect it to be closer to 2 seconds by the end of the trial.

After that, I dragged a classic out for Sarthe - the Silvia Touring Car. The weather was almost enough to wreck my 1-stop strategy (the second time through - I came down for intermediates on lap 3 and RH tires on lap 5 the first run, and just couldn't catch the RS-shod rabbits...they came down for intermediates the second time through to wreck their chances). The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr.

Didn't have much time tonight, so quickly posted some laps at Barcelona after claiming my 1 million credits for my previous silver at Daytona. 10 laps later I managed a 1:43.3XX in the Jag F-Type. Enough for silver, but I want another gold again...

Headed over to Hagerty's and grabbed a 330 P4 before it sold out. Down to 6.6 mil now, so I'll need to put in some grind miles this weekend if I'm to buy the 250 GT and the MP4/4...

Did you tweak any of the suspension/diff/ gear settings on the Gr.4 Jaguar? Or is it decent already as set by Kaz?

2 more races in sport mode, race A. Not punted this time, 5th on the first one after starting 3, and 2nd on the 2nd one after starting 5. Don't why, I don't get a silver medal.

Finished the S license (not golded).

Tried WTC 600 at Sardinia, not sure how I managed to win it a few monthes ago... plus I have to remember how to use FM... I was playing with TC instead 🤣

Tried to beat my 2nd place at the Porsche event at Nurburgring. All was going smooth and I was 3rd at Bergwerk, but the rain that was coming intensified, and my RS tyres did not like that at all... total loss of control in Kesselchen, and after that it was holiday on ice.

I avenged myself doing the 2 laper 600 cup on the Nordschleife with the Ferrari VGT (classified as a road car... lol)

HATE: LAGO MAGGIORE! ;)
Just because I am stubborn like hell, I tried something different today:
1 stopping with racing mediums, and the Porsche made it work.
Lap 15, the tyres begged for mercy:

end of lap 30 with 30 seconds left on the clock, and a lead of 40 seconds:

I was actually surprised the lap times didnt worsen too much with tyre wear, basically they didnt at all, also the fuel economy was way ahead of the AI

Completely stock. I do play on normal difficulty, which is why I included the lap times of 4:20-4:21.

Grabbed the 330 P4 from LCD, did grind runs on Sardegna the quick and easy way, went to Spa for another grind and decided to find a good setup for the Porsche 918 Spyder, to use it to race Sardegna with. Found a good setup, but still won't beat the Lexus SC430 GT500. Imo, the SC430 makes the race feel like a leisure ride around the track, which I'm totally fine with.
Then did some TT laps with several cars on both Sardegna and Sartre. Was amazed with the car no one seems to like, the Chaparral 2X VGT. Managed to do a 2:51 at Sartre, out of the box, without cutting corners and painting within the lines.

Daily roulette of Eternal Torment got me a fully customizable computer for a car I don't own or intend to buy. Great.

Worked on the new time trial, drove Tokyo, bought every set of wheels from GT Auto, then decided to gold all the music rallies just for fun.

Consistently running 1:56 is not something I can do, I'm too bad on that track and can't seem to grasp how to improve :(

I also play on Normal, so I will give it a try as it is, thanks!

Oh no please don't use the 918, when that thing runs out of battery it becomes slow as hell, nothing like the LaFerrari or FXX-K. Save yourself some time!

Have you tried to watch a video on how to gold this track in circuit experience ?
You can load a ghost too (don't choose a too fast one) and follow him to see how he negotiate the turns.

Yes you do get a million dollar car but remember you have to already have that million dollar f1 car since its part of the menu book so you have to spent a million to buy the f1 car so it cancels out getting the car. I guess its pd way of giving you back a million I guess.

And to stay within the thread today I continue to buy new cars my car collection is up to 350/459 and like 500 or so cars in my garage and 98M to play with.

And the 4 star ticket stuff gave me 30k up from 10k "Moving on up"
You don't have to complete the all of the extra menu books. If the game ever asks me to collect a car I'm not interested or which takes too much grinding I'd ignore it.

TBH I forgot that there was a menu book which included the MP4/4. I completed the menu book by accident and the bonus car was an unexpected bonus!

Today I continue Buying all the cars from BC while not allowing my credits to fall below 97M.:)

The 4 star Ticket stuff gave me 30K which I'm gonna save till the day this :redflag: game gives me the chance to buy the fxx-k. :grumpy:

And that's been my day today in GT7.

Played around with Pagani swapped Supra RZ. I raised the ride height because after I took a pic I realized the car looked slammed. That helped a lot but it still acts up under heavy throttle or sudden change of direction. I can mitigate most of that by easing off of the throttle but that doesn't work sometimes so I got to continue to tweak it

Tried a new lower-power setup for my 787B-powered RX7 at Le Mans. I think I'm going to slow the car down even more in favor braking and steering.

Got 10 grand on the wheel.

Put some THICC fenders and wide wheels on my black '73 CSL.

On the GTP account, I took the Aston Martin DBR9 around Sardegna with a reduced fuel map of 5. It still turned consistent 1:43 laps and only needed 1 stop. The 3-star Wheel of Despair wasn't impressed in the slightest, spewing out the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr.

On the Plus account, it was the Lamborghini Huracan's turn to do the Double Grind. The GT3 has evil lift-throttle oversteer, especially late in a run. Still, it was fast enough for the win, and the (wait for it) 3-star Wheel of Despair (the 24th of the year), bearing the low-showing 10,000 Cr.

Today was a livery editor day. Very few grinding done. Just 2 races, of which one was for the daily torment tciket, which paid a whopping 5K credits. That'll help me back on my feet, after purchasing the 330 P4 yesterday. Over the moon with that stupendously high reward.

Checked the dealerships for interesting cars. That today's added Maserati does look interesting 👀

Ran a few TT's, with little improvement. Bought a Tuscan Speed 6 and an XJ13, tuned them and ran LeMans. Once with the Speed 6 and twice with the XJ13. The XJ13 is a stellar car. Got 10k from the wheel.

Sardegna's a nice change of pace from Sarthe. The rabbits like the Viper and AMG can put up fast laps, but their pitting strategy negates their pace even on hard difficulty. As long as you can make it 6 laps before pitting and can average 1:39-ish laps or better, you'll win every time.

I prefer it as a grind race due to the wide breadth of cars that can win, so it breaks up the monotony better than the other two grind races. Road cars like the F1 and TVR Speed 6 are great for this event. The Renault Megane Gr4 (MR, not the FF which is, I believe, the Trophy. Server's still down so I can't check) is one of the most fun, in my opinion, as you're not going to have a 60sec+ lead at the start of the final lap. I've had races where I've won by half a car's length, and lost by the same amount.

Gr3 I like to run the real cars; DBR9 GT1 can put up laps close to Super GT cars, but even with a bespoke tune that car will try to kill you, so you have to work for it, which is always a good way to make that 25-27min fly by.

When it comes to just wanting to get it over with as quickly as possible, 787B, XJR9 (really any of the Group C's if setup properly for this track) Escudo, MP4/4, F1 Longtail, etc can put up some pretty impressive overall times. I've seen people claim sub-24min times, though I've only been able to get around 25min flat, but then I'm far from an alien in this game...

But yeah, it's a great race. Even if PD would mercifully add more races with the same time:credit ratio, I'd still run it often. It's a great track in that it's fairly easy to learn to run well enough to get the win, but quite hard to master (at least for me)
The Escudo is mighty fun on that track allthough my tuning setup sacrificed front downforce instead of adding a little weight which makes the car want to prance everytime it accelerating uphill :D but the really great thing about that track is alot of the road cars that barely fit into the wtc700 at le sarthe actually fits in extremely well at sardegna the f12 berlinetta and the f8 tributo run that track with stellar perforamance :)

Also the Pagani's the zonda runs it extremely economical on the fuel and the porche 911 gt3 rs (road car) have stellar handling on that track :D

alot of the roadcars that are close to the 700PP limit can be tuned to run the sardegna very well near 800PP limit I have not tried them at spa yet but I think some of them could be really competitive especially the ferraris :)

Got another Pagani invite today I think its my third total and I allready have them both I need the ferrari and bugatti invite pls PD remove this invite system :(
:)

Today I think I finished buying at least 1 of each car from the UCD cause every time it rotates the blue icon is lit on each car.

I counted how many cars I have left to buy from BC and its 9 total to finish buying at least 1 of each car from BC (Minus those 4 of course):(

I also discovered the McLaren VGT and how amazing the interior view in this car is I took it to Sardegna and got to lap 14 before needing to pit I think this car can go the full race without pitting.

I just love having at least 1 of each car cause if I wanna drive that car I have it, If I wanna drive this car I have it, if I wanna drive those cars I have it. :sly:

So now I have my set cars for grinding Le man and Sardegna for Sardegna the McLaren vgt and for le man p1 gtr.

Ah yeah and lastly I got a 4 star and 10K :ouch:

@Commander_SR That Ferrari invite really doesn't like us does it. :(

Finally got around to gettting the S License. Not required for anything except trophy which I don't care about. All were first attempt bronze or silver. Easily could do better if care to go back.

I agree did the Tokyo 600 with my trusty engine swapped 91 cappuccino got first place and crb been grinding 2 to 4 times a day for months have gotten all invites but no Ferrari invite yet the wheel of despair gave me a 4 star ticket for a NOS system for the Mustang Gr.4 road car which was installed the wheel is messed up I think may have a bug

- Ground out the remaining credits needed to buy the Senna F1 car.

- Collected my Formula prize car from that 6* ticket and 5 grand from the wheel of despair ticket.

- Did yet another Chris-chan stress sigh at my lack of money.

At least now the only car I 'need' is the Porsche 550 and the only car I really want is the F40.

Since I've been slacking too much recently, today I decided it was about time to finally get that McLaren MP4/4 and completing that Honda menu. Starting credits for the day: 900k. I left the game after the disappointment of not finding a tune for the Jaguar F-Type Gr.4 but decided to try it out on Le Mans with Kaz's stock settings.

It was love at first race. Sure, it probably could use some better gearing but it's a really fun car as is, and the V8 sounds so beautifully! Not the fastest at Le Mans, sure, but it was still really fun. Loved this car so much that I actually ended up running four Le Mans in a row with it, while listening to my weekly podcasts (AvTalk and some others). Credits at this point: about 4 mil. Back to the garage I decided to open immediately the 4* Wheel of (Mis)Fortune expecting the usual 30k and instead I was treated with... A MILLION. Credits as of now: 5 millions.

Decided to change things a bit, so I tried out Master @praiano63 tune for the 964 RS at 700pp, which meant Le Mans once again.

20970902096485078.jpg

Finally I can love this car without any form of hate! Drives smoothly, really quick and nimble, definetly not the fastest Le Mans racer and possibly the worst Porsche road car (except the 356s), but it was genuinely fun. And on a completely dry race I won, with a FM6 two stopper, by almost a minute. Really really fun to drive, thanks Master! Forever in debt with you! Ran two Le Mans with the Porsche, which means the credit count is now a little more than 6,5 millions.

To close the day I ran the Enzo twice in Sardegna, one attempt went really smooth but on the second one I made countless mistakes including being forced into an extra pit by Kokubun. Still won the race with a 30-something seconds of advantage, that car is insanely good! A double Sardegna win brought the credit count to a bit shy of 7,2 millions, which obviously means...

20230304_232242.jpg

And of course, having bought the MP4/4 means I also completed the last Extra Menu that I still had to finish.

20230304_232235.jpg

Calling it a day after a 753km grind, not really sure I'll be playing tomorrow haha

Daily Workout blessed me today and gave me the one swap I've been waiting for since they launched it - the NSX GT500 engine to go into the Amuse S2000 GT1.

Car is an absolute beast; boasts incredible power, it drives like a charm, has immensely good fuel economy and so it performs well at both the 700 and 800pp grinding events; it might not be the best car for the job but it's certainly my favourite.

That's one engine swap I am waiting for really badly, both on this and on the two NSXs

On the GTP account, I ground Sarthe with the Toyota 86 Gr.4. The all-car 4-star marathon roulette gave yet another Amuse NISMO, which was the most expensive car on the Wheel. I flipped it for the rock-bottom price of 29,440 Cr.

On the Plus account, it was the Lamborghini Huracan Gr.4's turn at Sarthe. It still has some of the lift-throttle oversteer issues the GT3 has, and on FM1, it won't do the 4 laps Haywood will, but it is bloody quick. The third 3-star Wheel of Despair in a row (and the 25th of 61 this year) gave a full-custom suspension for the 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
