What did you do in GT7 today?

On the Plus account, it was the Jaguar F-type's turn in the Double Grind. The Gr.3 at Sardegna turned into a struggle, mostly because Mendoza and his Aston Martin was unusually fast. I needed him to pit a third time to get the win, even though my time was a respectable 26:56.

The no-cash 5-star marathon roulette gave an AMG safety car. I hung onto it for now.

On the GTP account, I ran the RH-shod Honda NSX GT500 at Sardegna, and ran the tank dry during a dominant win. The 6-star Wheel of Despair gave the 2nd-lowest-showing/lowest-possible 500,000 Cr.

Did a few credit runs at Sardegna. Some with the Supra GT500, some with the SC430. The latter remains my favorite car to grind this race with. Just 1 stop RM's, first 8 lap stint FM1, second stint 3 laps on FM4 and the rest FM1. Finishing the race at 25:40 most of the time.
Redone a livery on the SF19, bought the Chaparral 2X VGT, just for livery import sake and took it to a track. Handles a ton better than in GTS, I feel. Really fun ride.
And then came the Wheel of Eternal Torment. Thanks, PD. Might as well keep it yourselves.... Even when you start the game from scratch, this amount is not impressing anyone.

My bad the honda ra272 I confuse the two since I was thinking of the honda f1 from bc.
Yep and if you complet that menu you get a SF19 (but it is faster to buy it directly if your are not interested in completing extra café menus or getting the RA and the MP4
The 6-star Wheel of Despair gave the 2nd-lowest-showing/lowest-possible 500,000 Cr.
Not so bad for a 6 stars, I've seen much worse :D

Grand Valley curcuit experience. I read that gold on sector 3 was challenging but I had more problems with sector 2. Managed gold on all individual sectors but stopped short with a silver time of 1.47.999 (or is it 1.49? I forget, but .999)

Today was the day my PSVR2 arrived and it went just about flawlessly. There’s the occasional odd sensation while racing and some minor issues with my contacts drying out, but no motion sickness or disorientation after taking the headset off. Did my usual grinds in VR but PD REALLY needs to get the HUD sorted so I can get the usual race and vehicle information like the shift indicator and yellow flag warnings that are just completely missing in VR races. Got 30k from a 4-star ticket.

I purchased the Lego Ferrari SP3. I logged into GT7 and did a daily workout on the new track. This may not be a real course. First time I have played since that 1.29 update. 1.30 now. $420 micro transaction. Took the Shelby. Finished off VGT's. 99% car completion. Cr. 21,xxx,xxx. Cobra Daytona Coup '64

Sold most of my unused cars, and the ones I think/hope I'll never need. Except the cars where the value was at a low point, I'll wait a bit to sell them better especially one or two that have a nice value.

It gave me enough bucks to get the Honda RA72 (which seems very fun and is needed for a café menu), the Audi R18 TDI (got the trophy with a photo at Le Mans, sold immediately after that), the Porsche Spyder for café menu (sold directly), one of the Veyrons needed for café menu (sold directly).

About to reach collector level 50 and my garage is much less crowded, but it keeps the collected stamp on every car even when sold, I am fine with that, I just keep the cars I like or know I need.

With those sells, buys and resells this morning I've got 10M credits. But now I don't have the opportunity to mass sell cars anymore, it'll go slower form now on.

80% completion of the trophy list, but it'll take some time to get the 7 last ones...

This is actually yesterday rather than today. Tried again to handle the 964 Porsche through the Catalunya event but as usual couldn't go further than P2 due to at least one spin in the five laps of the race; tried multiple times, always the same outcome. Tried then with a completely stock 911 Strassenversion but things were even worse and I was starting to develop a headache too, due to yesterday being a really terrible day.

So I called it off and took some rest, watching anime while lying on the sofa. Didn't even open the 4* Wheel of (Mis)Fortune ticket, will check it out later today when I get home from work.

After completing a daily workout on Wednesday, I received a four-star roulette ticket and received a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition Gr. 4. That car was the 400th different one i acquired. After completing another daily workout on the early minuted of today, I received another four-star roulette ticket and received titanium custom and rods compatible with the Jaguar F-Type. Also, on both of these days, I had went grinding at the World Rally Challenge race at Fisherman's Ranch.

When you say 400th, I assume you are exaggerating. I have not been receiving duplicates. How many Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition Gr. 4 have you received from routette tickets.

That Evo was the first one I received from that roulette ticket. It was also my 400th different car I acquired in my Car Collection and I got the screenshot to prove it.

Ran Sardegna for the grind, then gave it a try on expert level against Sophy at Suzuka. Violette didn’t put in a appearance at all, very odd, so got an easy gold. Decided to replay the event and followed violette to see what happened. It transpired that Verte got slightly sideways and Violette collided big time, loosing heaps of time. So you can get lucky, just not very often. The 4 star ticket on the roulette wheel compensated by giving a suspension kit for a car i’ll probably never drive

To me it seems Sophy isnt used competing against slower traffic, be it by car difference or driver difference.
Sophy Violette wont attempt any overtake on the others even though it could simply overpower them, but instead stays firmly behind while both slow and fast Sophy is taking the same line on every corner. "We players" with out imprecise cornering always give enough room for Sophy to slip through in case of an overtake.

Today(Yesterday) I tried a few of the not yet driven Gr. 3 cars on Maggiore, yet I dont warm up to the most of them.
The Supra '18 felt pretty stable. But Suzuki VGT and Ford GT are not my best new friends.

On PS5 I installed both PS4 and PS5 versions. On Maggiore 730 I ran Identical times of 2:00 on 5 laps. The AI appears to be different between PS4 and PS5. The PS5 is faster. I finished 1st place AI Normal 2 times in a row on PS4, I finished round 4th on PS5 and my times were identical. I was using a PS4 Dual Shock, then PS5 Dualsense. I switched back to Thrustmaster T300 GT and did not finish first on AI Normal. I like the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GR3 for this event, However I may have using a different Group 3 car that was performing a little bit better.

A Brand Central car worth at least 500,000 Cr. (40% chance)
Something that requires further action to increase your current amount of credits by a random number worth between 50,000 to 150,000 (or so), of course unless one wants to keep the car ;)

Another eventful and long report today.

I just finally received my last invite! Citroen.

I have a question before I permanently accept it.. Does it really suck as some have mentioned?

Honestly, I’m happy with how fast I got the vast majority of them, although I wish I understood the benefits of duplicates sooner. For anyone newer than me that’s still collecting… this is when I got them (although some seem to collect at a different pace):

First 30 days = (6 Cars from Three Invites)
-Pagani (Huayra ‘13)
-Aston Martin (One-77 ‘11 and Vulcan ‘16)
-Ferrari (Enzo Ferrari ‘02, LaFerrari ‘13 and FXX K ‘14)

Three Weeks Later
-Bugatti (Veyron 16.4 ‘13)

Two Weeks Later
-Porsche (Carrera GT ‘04)

Three Weeks Later
- Lamborghini (Veneno ‘14)

Six Weeks Later
* Final Invite - Citroen

I had fun with the “Racing Kart 125” in the WTC600 at Grand Valley. Although it feels a little silly to drive alongside cars, to my surprise it was quite competitive, even with the drastically lower top speed. Due to its size I could maneuver around cars unlike anything else and was able to gain significantly more time in the corners than it lost on the straights.

Since I started I’ve only bought 1 or 2 NOS kits out of curiosity, never had much interest to equip them to cars. However, after playing the the new 950 Prototype race I decided their are more cars in this game I’d like to race with, but some, either by design or after being nerfed, are lacking equal footing with others in the same class and pp rating. For example, a car might have terrific downforce and cornering but not “enough” to make up for various shortcomings such as a poor hybrid recovery system, low top speed, terrible fuel consumption etc…

So I decided I wanted to give this a try and spent a ton of credits equipping cars with nitrous. I’m not sure yet how I plan to go about it; may be different for each car or race. I’m thinking of equipping a small percentage of boost while if necessary lowering the cars pp through some method to hinder accidentally giving it too much of an advantage. I don’t want it to “feel” like cheating, even though nitrous is allowed, I plan to use it sparingly either way

After my old Plasma called it quits I broke down the other day and ordered the extra lamp for my projector (has been out of commission) that just arrived. So now, when not in VR I’m back on a 100” screen. As nice as the tv was, it’s nowhere near as immersive as the big screen 👍

PS
Those who have been grinding/considering the MP4/4 I believe it has 9 days left at Haggerty’s

Here’s the link for how long each car is left both there and the UCD
https://ddm999.github.io/gt7info/

Edit: @Lomic as @Eggstor said the Regular 6* tickets have 500k, 1 mil and Car Type C as rewards only.
If you go to the link I provided above and click “ticket rewards” it shows the available prizes for every ticket type

@Chikane_GTR I would also prefer engines tickets… above about anything else. How many engines do you have in cars now?

The racing kart at the WTC600 is an inspired choice! Worked for you though, so that's a win! I've not managed to win that race yet, might have to try the kart out!

Are you sure about that ? I remember getting much worse than min 500k.

Example (not mine) in video with a wonderful stack of 5k Cr (hopefully he won something better) :

There's a difference between what is shown and what is actually possible, at least since the roulette system was rejiggered in the 1.17 update (@ddm has that rejiggering at part of the 1.18 bug-fix update, but since the engine/parts tickets came in 1.17, I'm going with that one as the rejigger point). Do note that the video you linked has as the awarded prize 500,000 Cr., not the 5,000-Cr. joker prize.

On my Plus account, where I tracked, among other things, every ticket awarded since I started play on that account, I have had 11 normal 6-star tickets, 4 before 1.17 and 7 after. These are the prizes awarded for each:

DateStarSourcePrize
4/26/20226-starMenu Book 391,000,000 Cr.
5/1/20226-starWorkout1,000,000 Cr.
5/16/20226-starWorkout1,000,000 Cr.
6/19/20226-starMenu Book 40Alpine Alpine VGT Race
6/23/20226-starMenu Book 41Jaguar Jaguar VGT SV
7/4/20226-starWorkout500,000 Cr.
7/28/20226-starWorkout500,000 Cr.
9/28/20226-starWorkout500,000 Cr.
10/5/20226-starWorkout1,000,000 Cr.
10/30/20226-starWorkout1,000,000 Cr.
12/23/20226-starWorkout2015 Honda 2&4 powered by RC213V

Since 1.17, I have had two cars, each worth 1,000,000 Cr. (the pre-1.17 car was also worth 1,000,000 Cr.), three 500,000-Cr. prizes and two 1,000,000-Cr. prizes (plus three pre-1.17).

Honestly, its fun and worth trying if for nothing else than shaking the game up a bit. I should have mentioned though, the difficulty was on easy because had no idea how it was gonna go. Will definitely try the others though to see how well it can keep up with faster cars. The only change I made was lowering the Final gear ratio a smudge to ever so slightly increase the top end when downhill and drafting. Not sure how much that did… I found it best (and most fun) to be in cockpit mode, but to each their own.

On “Easy” it’s first place position less than halfway into the 2nd lap. Also, the suggested brake zones are crazy far off, need to experiment a bit to push it closer and closer to limit

EDIT: Update 1:

On “Normal” got 1st position in 3rd lap. I had a crash and was still able to get the W

Thanks to the update, I only had time to 2 quick races with the Charger Hellcat. Afer those 2, the wheel of infamy gave me a 4 star ticket...

1st thing I thought? "Hope it doesn't give me a Miata"...

...

..

.

A Miata was received...

@Chikane_GTR I would also prefer engines tickets… above about anything else. How many engines do you have in cars now?
That I can remember?

Pontiac Firebird Trans Am '78 - LS9-Corvette (Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1)
Nissan Silvia Q's (S13) '88 (!) - LS7 BRZ (Subaru BRZ Drift)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Final '15 (!!) - H25A-Escudo (Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Special)

Those are the only ones I can remember that I still have and with over 500 cars in my garage now I don't know which others, Unless there's a way of finding out which cars have engine swap.

To stay on topic today I did more grinding at le man with my p1 gtr I also activated a second p1 gtr since it feels like my main one losses a hp after every race now? :(

Fun fact 85% of the time I do the le man 700pp race it turns into a 6 lap race which is great since it avoids those extra minutes and it feels like the race goes faster.

Also got a rare 6 star engine ticket that gave me the LS9-Corvette (Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1).

I'd gladly trade some of my motors for invites and cars I need 😅

What's the deal with those engine swaps ? I have a Enzo, an H25A-Escudo and a LS9-Corvette

You can swap in some specific cars, ok, and after ? Is there an interest other than fun (which is plenty if you find that to your taste)

First things first I redeemed yesterday's Wheel of (Mis)Fortune 4* ticket and won a Stage 5 weight reduction for the F8 Tributo, which I don't have. Then I decided to try once again a few of the Porsche races with the 964; I hate that car because it really drives like crap, but at the same time I love it. I mean, can you hate such a machine?

20970344869817960.jpg

Managed to finally win Catalunya, won Spa (despite various problems with Eau Rouge) and only got P2 on the ring. For all this driving I got today's Wheel of (Mis)Fortune which was once again a 4*, and gifted me a Jaguar F-Type Gr.4 which I did not have. Nice!

So I thought, why not take it for a spin at Le Mans? So I got a Silk Cut livery for it, bought wet tires and a high end supercharger, and then... couldn't find a single tune for the car anywhere on the internet, seems this car has been forgotten by everybody on the face of this planet.

This made me sad, so I closed the game and will now watch the "Sully" movie. I'll never buy that MP4/4 in time if I slack like this...
