Did two Sardegna runs, one with a setup I found on YouTube and the second run with our based tuning master's
Sardegna has been my new grind since last update, with the RS5 it is a breeze, did it maybe 10 times since then and I did not even thought a second to look for some tune, I use it stock. I know what I'll check tomorrow 😊
Had more fun with the Alphard today.
Each time I see your pseudo, it makes me think to that car 🤣

Done around 5+10 laps at current TT, watching a lap guide by @Mistah_MCA between the two sessions, and went from 1:31.176 to 1:29.060 🤓and still lot of room for improvement, maybe I'll be able to get gold this time !

On the Plus account, it was time to start redoing the Gr.4 cars at Sarthe. First up was the Alfa Romeo 155, the Gr.4 car with the highest PP. It still is the meta - dry lap times under 4:13, fuel that lasts 3 laps, and tires that last at least 7.

My 32nd 3-star Wheel of Despair of the year (of 88 workout tickets, but the first of the last 15) was even worse than usual - it gave a height-adjustable suspension. At this rate, I may well not be able to get the 1997 BMW McLaren F1 before it sells out, especially since its price went up 1,100,000 Cr..

On the GTP account, I went with the Red Bull Junior. It is both slower (fast lap of 4:16.7) and more tail-happy, especially on corner exit on-throttle, than I remember.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave its usual lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. I saw that the newest hostage (the Celica rally car) was released first, and that its price did not change. According to Nenkai, the Escudo should follow tomorrow (as the AMG/Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM sold out tonight).

Finished up two Super Taikyu liveries for the ST-Q class CNF #61 BR-Z and ST-2 class #6 Shinryo Racing Evo X.
Time to race and see how they look in the replay. :)

A bit strapped for time yesterday evening again so I only had about half an hour of play. Decided to run the Veneno on Laguna Seca, man that car needs to be tuned. Then I felt like going for something completely different and took the F-150 to some dirt tracks. 4 star from the wheel gave High Lift Cam S for the Maserati GranTurismo which I don't own and haven't put on my wishlist, but now I might get it at some point to put the part in it.

Today I have participated in the Watkins Glen C race with the Aston Martin of the Heart of Racing team, I have washed the car, I have visited landscapes, and many more relaxing things, all within one game, it is really brilliant.

I was excited to see one of the hostages set free and promptly bought two of the Celica Rally cars. Tuned one for Tokyo to discover the PP was increased and decided against trying it. I did a round of Tokyo in the Carrera GTS but I couldn’t manage a CRB. Did a few rounds at Sardegna, one at Spa, one at LM. Managed to get up to 5 million credits which should cover the Escudo’s and gives me a start on buying yet another McLaren F1 GTR before it sells out. Got a 4 star ticket that gave me a 2014 VW GTI that I didn’t already have which was cool.

Done a morning grind at Sardegna with the RS5 tuned with Praiano's setup, not sure if I prefer it from stock. But that race was not very relevant as I've been spun by AI and lost 10 spots in the 3rd lap. Finished only 20s before Fraga, while I've finished more than 1 minute before 2nd yesterday. I'll give another go as with softer tyres and that tune, some of my breaking points were to soon compared to what the car is able. My best laps were close to what I use to do so...

Bought the Diablo at UCD, the Celica at LCD.

4* ticket gave me a stroke up for Delorean, can't be lucky every day.

I'll surely do some TT this evening.

Today I'm buying alot of vipers gts to have one of every dodge viper color both with stripes and without stripes.

The 4 star ticket stuff gave me a Pagani Huayra engine.

Not today, but yesterday I tried my best turning the E30 M3 Sport Evolution into its Group A equivalent. Found it a nice period Warsteiner livery, and from what I’ve managed to learn about the technical specs of the touring car, I think I’ve just about done it justice in terms of authenticity. Thankfully, PD are pretty damn close to those specs once weight reduction and engine upgrades are appropriately applied. I like to think they had the Group A car in consideration when doing the road car. I remember Kaz saying we could ‘create our own Racing Modification’ as in the older games, so I’m glad that in doing this the end result is quite authentic.

I’ve also got the old Sierra Cossie (currently with the classic Texaco livery). I’d like to build a fleet of the old Group A cars of that era. If anyone is doing the same, or knows of anyone that’s done the same, link me up! 😄

I bought another 904 and tuned it to 650pp. I might try and buy another 959 as well in the coming days before they both sell out. I cant wait to see how good the 904 is tuned, considering how much I love it stock.

@05XR8 was doing a full Group A touring car grid awhile ago.

Here’s a link to specs and a few tunes from the Group A era.

Perfect! Thanks 🙏

Because I’ve never seen the tire temp indicators turn blue and was told they do, I tried 3 times to get them to turn blue, but to no avail. Stayed the same shade of grey the entire time with the exception of me locking up the wheels stopping from around 170mph-0mph with no ABS when they promptly turned red as expected.
First I ran the Tomahawk on RS 1 lap at SSRX with tire wear set to 2x.
Second I ran SF19 on RH 1 lap at SSRX with tire wear set to 5x.
Lastly I ran an R33 GT-R on SS half a lap at SSRX with tire wear set to 10x.

Got bored with that and ran Sardegna with the RS5 DTM again. I really do enjoy that car. Up there with my other favorite Gr.2 and Gr.1 cars for sure. Was able to complete the race on 1 set of RM tires, only stopping to get 6 laps worth of fuel. The front tires still had plenty of life left but the right rear was almost completely shot and the left rear not too far behind. Had to turn the TCS up to 3 the last 2 laps to prevent them from going bye-bye on me.

Opened my daily ticket to get an invitation that I don’t need.

Today has officially turn into my second most expensive day ever.

Today I bought New cars.

Ferrari 330 P4 X2 - New
McLaren F1 97 race car X5 - New
Suzuki Escudo X3 - New
Dodge Viper GTS X7 - Extras
Porsche Carrera GT X2 - Extras
Bugatti Veyron - Extra
Peugeot 205 Turbo 86 - Extra

Credits down to 11.2M.

But more Importantly My dream grid as become a realty.

I'm so happy.:)

Drove the McLaren F1 GTR '97 around Dragon Trail Seaside and then completed the WTC800 race on the Nurburgring. I then drove the F1500T around Spa. After that I bought the Alpine A110 and the TVR Tuscan from the used car dealer. I put a widebody on the A110 and took it out to Grand Valley South. I then drove the Jaguar XJR-9 on Le Mans without the chicanes in dawn conditions. I also took the Tuscan to Bathurst.

On the GTP account, I found I can run the Honda NSX GT500 on RM tires again without having them burn off after 7 laps. I did have to do 3 laps of fuel saving to make it through 8 laps though.

The...wait for it...3-star Wheel of Despair puked out the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr. Figures. I bought 6 1971 Nissan 240ZG's for future engine purposes, widening 3 of them.

On the Plus account, to honor the return of the Escudo, I took it to Sardegna. It needs a new tune - it's harder to turn and consequently quite a bit slower (25:20). Still, it lapped the field, and last place twice.

The 5-star workout roulette gave the lowest-possible 100,000 Cr. It could have been worse - it could have been a 3-star/5,000 Cr. night.

I managed to get the gold in TT (even after one hour)
And after that i raced my beloved stock Porsche 959 in a race at Spa.
Checked the Legendary dealership and i cried about prices...
Run an online race and i was upset about the lack of customization....

Grind one Sardegna. Needed around 730k to be able to buy the Escudo.

DW gave me a 4* and I got ANOTHER Pagani invite !! I already have one valid until 24/04!!

I was at 1.694k Cr. and was about to buy the Escudo, even a 5k would have been enough but no

I started out by buying 2 Escudo and upgraded one to a racing transmission and ran it otherwise stock at Sardegna. Started in FM6 and it said 7 laps so I figured I’d short shift to get to 8 laps and wow talk about turbo lag for days! I managed a one stop but I won’t be doing that again, and I’ll definitely look for a tune before trying Sardegna again. Did a few more rounds of Sardegna in different cars, 2 rounds of Spa in the XJR-9 and then R92C, and a round of LM in the GT40 mkI. Ending the night with 6.9 million credits and since I have the day off tomorrow I will be able to afford another F1 GTR by the end of the day tomorrow. I’m guessing the Ford Roadster will appear soon but it’s not expensive and I’m only getting one for the engine swap. My Ferrari and Pagani invitations expire in a few days, I have doubles of each car but I might buy triplets since it could be a long time before I get another, I guess we’ll see if I can grind enough or not…

I noticed the longtail F1 GTR in Hagerty yesterday, so today - with about 7 million in the bank - did a few leisurely Sardegnas in the RS5 (just over 25 mins a race), sold a few cars, then purchased the F1 GTR. I’ve already got the gr.3 GTR, so it’s just the road car I need now.

Balance sits at 285k now. So there will be more grinding ahead, and a few custom races for fun with the Group A builds 🙂

Today was a few TT runs on Deep Forest, Dragon Trail Seaside and Gand Valley Highway so I can reacquaintance myself with my street cars-turned racing cars and a Sardegna run with the palate cleanser Audi DTM. Even on a controller, cars behave very close to real life (of course can't compare with real seat-of-the-pants feelings) but the basic predictability of real laws of physics are more pronounced now. Got a 6-star ticket (my first in oh, I can't remember how long ago from the laso one) which got me a cool $10 savings from a 1- million credits prize.

Only one 'achievement' this week, but hopefully a good one... after months of dripping bits of info about GT7 to my mate, he finally bought the game and has started playing it.

Although I still think that GT7 is quite flawed - and that some of the bigger flaws have yet to be addressed (or likely won't be because they're not 'flaws' as much as they are features of the game now), I still clearly have a great deal of passion for the game, which is understandable since it is an amazing game, warts and all.

GT7 doesn't get everything right - but what it does get right, it gets really right - and, at the end of the day, when you are on track, behind the wheel, and putting together a perfect lap on a favourite circuit, there is fewer better feelings - and that clearly shows when I talk about the game to my mates.

-

Last night I took the Audi RS DTM and tried the WTC800 at Nurb Endurance - I was struggling in places as you have to be gentle on the throttle coming out of tight corners, but I made my way up the field, making some pretty tasty (and clean) passes in the process. However, as I passed the AI Audi R8, I ran slightly wide and lost about a second, allowing the R8 to come along side. As I came back on track, side by side with the R8, I was ever so slightly ahead, and the contact with the R8 was enough to send me sideways and then spearing off into the scenery. Not having mapped the reverse button on my wheel, I lost several seconds before clumsily re-entering the race.

I ended up finishing 3rd, beating an AI car by less than 0.010 s as it ran out of fuel just before the line. I finished 31s back from P1, so I likely would not have won anyway, but the incident with the R8 likely cost me P2. Still, it was a great race, and the Endurance variation is a very welcome addition to the game.
