What did you do in GT7 today?

I liveried out my Mustang GT 15’ and took it to a custom Tsukuba 1 lap race.

I spent most of the session trialing out how many cars on the grid are necessary for me to go from the back of the pack to overtaking at the finish line.
Looks like 15-17 on professional difficulty with my current tune, but every regeneration of the race settings randomises the pack!

I’m looking forward to the next session, I’ll be fine tuning the settings and recording the most cinematic replays :)

On the GTP account, I used my tuned Ford Focus RS to grind Sarthe. Between that and the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr. from the 3-star Wheel of Despair, I'm still nearly 3,100,000 Cr. from being able to afford the longtail BMW McLaren F1 GTR, and now I have less than 48 hours to get that.

On the Plus account, my redo of Sarthe with the Gr.4 cars continued with the Citroen GT. It is fast, but only in the dry - it's capable of sub-4:18 laps while (barely) doing 3 laps on FM 1. Whisper water to it, and even on full-wet tires, it will slide around like it's on ice.

The no-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair gave a full-custom computer. I'll wait to see if I can grind my way to the longtail F1 on the GTP account before committing to it here.

I bought a few more Gr.3 cars to populate my GT Open 2022 grid.

There's a surprising dearth of GT Open liveries in GT7, although there are some dedicated individuals like @krisduv who have made several superb liveries. Alas, it takes so much time to collect enough Cr. to buy enough cars to complete the grid that I can't see myself having anywhere near enough time to make my own liveries - considering a really good quality livery takes several hours to make, I will have to make do for the moment with a mixture of 'real' and 'nearest thing' liveries to make up the grid.

GT7, however, is almost perfectly set up to recreate the GT Open grid - the Gr.3 cars are pretty much exactly right for the grid, and given that they are all 450,000 Cr., it is not too difficult to buy multiple copies of each car. The real grid has some 38 cars, including 14 Mercedes-AMG GT3s, but my aim is for 20 cars in total. Last night, I brought my total thus far up to 11 cars - 1 each of the 9 actual cars in the 2022 grid, plus a second Merc and Ferrari:

  • Mercedes-AMG GT3 (2/7)
  • Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 (2/3)
  • Lamborghini Huracan GT3 (1/2)
  • Porsche 911 GT3 (1/2)
  • McLaren 650S GT3 (1/2)
  • Audi R8 LMS Evo (1/1)
  • Aston Martin Vantage GT3 (1/1)
  • BMW M6 GT3 (1/1)
  • Honda NSX GT3 (1/1)

Hello !

It was a German morning here 🖐️

1. Golded Deep Forest 1 hour mission with the Audi Sport Quattro S1 Gr. B - thanks to the hint of @sir_yash here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...de-for-all-races.407711/page-13#post-13994710
This car is demoniac and requires 1 or 2 laps to be perfectly handled.
Won with 1:00:25:217.
Yamanaka (Toyota GR Supra Race car '19) was 2nd at 23 sec behind me.

2. Bought the 300 SEL 6.8 AMG '71 🥰

3. Golded Alsace 1 hour mission with the 300 SEL 6.8 AMG
This car is fantastic and like a German girl, she drinks a lot (2 stops)
Won with 1:00:28:591 - Most of the laps were around 2:28 / 2:29 with a PB at 2:27:650
Beauvois (R8 Gordini '66) was 2nd at 24 sec behind me.

4. ⭐⭐⭐ = Cr. 10.000 at the daily roulette :irked:

How is the car demonic???? Whose settings are these?????

Car handles nicely, playing on hard I won w alot of gap. 2 stops and averaging 133 to 134 per lap

I, a wheel racer, spent the entire day winning the Neoclassical races, a WTC 800 Daytona and, grinding Le Mans with a Dodge Viper using the controller. And, enjoyed sitting back not hurting my shoulders, legs and, back. Picked the Cobra, Toyota 2000GT and, that Pike's Peak thing from the profits. Guess that 962 yesterday did pay off.

Thanks for the hint about the Audi Sport Quattro S1 on Deep Forest 👍

I spent last night doing more WTC800 races, two each of Daytona, Watkins, and Nurburgring. This morning, I decided to attempt, and subsequently win the sardegna WTC800 race twice. Also, did the Suzuka race as well. All in the 911 RSR too. It’s definitely my preferred car and doesn’t feel boring.

mesmerized by the agility and sound of racing around the ring in Alfa GTA time and time again…

Well today was very eventful in my world of GT7:

Firstly I did a the new Radical time trial on Dragon Trail Gardens and did ok. The car is very slow to so you have to keep the momentum up as much as possible thru corners.

Then did a grind on Le-mans in the Mazda GT3 racecar in stealth colour and only achieved 2nd! It wierd as I usually cream this race and get top credits. oh well.

Moved onto doing some circuit experiences and the Audi R18 at Sardegna is still glitchy, I cannot make up speed at the start to get a good enough time thru my entire lap due to the car slowing down unexpectdly, its really annoying.

Then I tried to tackle the Kyoto Driving park CE with e Evo FInal GR Race car and after a few careful attempts, I acheived GOLD and netted 1mil worh of credits, unlocked a 4 star roulette ticket and only got 10k after, lol.

Lastly, with the money I acheived I TUNED my ol'yella Yellow with black stripes, VIPER GTS '02 to about 864bhp and creamed it on the Special stage route X, very cool car to zing about in.

Then purchased a 3mil Bugatti Chiron and in stock mode got it up to 272mph on the Stage Route X. Goonna keep playing with to see how far I can get speedwise.

One grind of Sardegna and then a few American CE bronzes got me the Escudo as it was the last day to buy it.

Downtuned it to 700.00pp and ran the WTC700.00 championship with it to get some racing with it. The Escudo handles really smoothly at 700.00pp.

And when I say 700.00pp, I mean exactly 700.00  not 699.99, not 700.01, 700.00 ;)

That and a couple of Ferrari events in the LaFerrari which had completed my set of 3 Ferrari invite cars (cough @Chikane_GTR cough) got me enough credits to buy the Toyota 2000 GT. Beautiful car, but not much use except for 450FR races which get you tiny prizes...

Finished up with buying the 250K GT-FOUR Gr.B classic and ran it on the Tokyo Gr.B event.

Need to grab the Citroen invite car next time around 👍

On the Plus account, I bought the 1997 BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car, the last car that I didn't have on either account, because I wouldn't have had enough time to buy it on the GTP account. That leaves 20 of the most-expensive Hagerty's cars left to get on the Plus account, at a current cost of 179,950,000 Cr.

To get some of that money back, I continued my Gr.3 retest of Sardegna with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 as I don't have the 1995 McLaren F1 GTR on this account. It is both docile and fast - I had a 1:39.8 lap on my way to a win in 26:27.

It's somehow fitting that it's tax day here in the US, or at least it would be if it weren't the weekend - the 35th 3-star Wheel of Despair of 98 workout tickets this year gave the low-showing 10,000 Cr.

On the GTP account, I used the Ferrari FXX K for a sloppy, but clean win at Sardegna. The 5-star marathon roulette gave the middle-showing (but lowest legal among the showing) 500,000 Cr. Neither of the cars showing were anything to write home about; each of the two were worth less than 150,000 Cr.

Ran the few WTC 800 races I hadn't done yet, thus completing all of the single player races.

Got a Mazda 3 from the roulette spin. I already had the special red one from the update, but I kept it and put a Team Highall tribute livery on it.

Ran a few 550 races in my new Mazda.

Bought the GTO Judge because it was cheap.

Today tried @Pizzapants's Escudo tune on Tokyo 600. Not sure how you are supposed to drive, but wall-riding became quickly my go-to as the tyres have very low grip in turns. lost my CRB like a moron crossing the white line at the hairpin, but not sure I did not touch any AI before.

Got a 3* for my efforts which handed me 5k...
