What did you do in GT7 today?

I took the Veyron to Tokyo. Then I bought a 2nd Veyron painted it matte red, maxed it out then I took it to Route X to see how fast I could go. I got to 245 mph. Got 30k from the wheel

I did another run at WTC800 Nurburgring race late last night to test out a 991 GT3 RS I tuned to the GT3R specs and won, but was about 20 seconds slower in race time that the RSR I have been using. A lot has to do with needed to fine tune the snap oversteer in the higher speed corners. I also need to find a livery for it.

I did the Gr.1 Prototype Series race at Fuji the other day. For some reason, I didn't get the CRB, though I think I may've lightly hit another car at one point. But it was all good because I got a six-star engine ticket that got me the Huayra engine!

As for today? I might finally try getting my last gold for The Human Comedy, at the Maggiore One Hour. I already have silver there, but I'm hoping that switching from the Corvette C7 Gr.3 to the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept will get me the results I'd like. Funny enough, of these two cars, I didn't buy either - the Corvette C7 Gr.3 was a default prize car from a previous mission set, and the RX-Vision GT3 was acquired from a random ticket.

That still might be a struggle since it is a BoP'd event. GT ENGINE has the latest BoP specs, and the RX-VISION is a bit slower accelerating, but a bit more nimble than the Corvette.

It's been a few BoP/physics changes since I did the race, but I used the BRZ GT300. That appears to still be viable, along with the Renault R.S.01 GT3 and the two BMW M6's.

I have done that race for the current version with almost all cars now.
Both Audi and Lambo didnt make it to the 10 lap pits on racing medium, so I didnt finish.
The Skyline Silhouette didnt finish first (and for me I dont see a chance to), the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car was also only in 2nd place, but there is a bit of play left to make it work.
With all other cars (that I currently tried) I was able to finish first, though there is a large difference between those I was fast with and those I was slow with. Also the AI time can vary between finishing between 1h40s to 1h1m.

My results, all driven on racing mediums.
1st Toyota Supra GT500 '97

2nd Mazda RX Vision
3rd Porsche

Edit:
Supra GT500 has taken the lead.

Up to this moment, I never thought about the last sector time:

I'm getting aggravated with some of these gold times(CE). Even some areas have a hard silver time. i keep watching various replays from top drivers on Youtube and still I'm barely able to make it. I don't get it.

Trying to figure out what cars to use in the WTC 600(Tokyo), and the other big moneymaker in the Sarthe. I tried using the GT-R '17 at Tokyo, but all it got me was a mere 11th place.

For Tokyo if you haven't yet you can use the Suzuki Escudo - Tune by Pizzapants - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...xpress-glitches-are-dead.407464/post-13994158

Or even the Aston martin DP-100 is also great and can easily win that race in around 25 minutes.

On the GTP account, I dug the NSX Gr.B out of storage and sent it to Sarthe. I need a new tune for it, but once it has that, it would be a candidate for an 8-lap race in the dry. It wasn't exactly dry - despite pitting 3 times, I needed to dwaddle on lap 6 to get the 6-lap win.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair wasn't impressed - it gave me yet another Mazda Atenza Sedan. As I already have 3 (one to keep stock, one to eventually fully tune with normal parts, one to eventually fully tune with potential "S" parts, specifically the carbon driveshaft and titanium pistons/rods), and it doesn't take a wide-body kit, I dumped it for 10,170 Cr.

On the Plus account, I continued my Gr.4 retest at Sarthe with the Chevrolet Corvette, forgetting I used it the other day. This time, the track was bone-dry. It has a nasty habit of power-on oversteer, weak brakes, marginal fuel economy (I went through 96% in the first 3 laps, and McEwen felt compelled to bring his Corvette down pit road 3 times in a dry race), and marginal tire wear (I was tempted to change them on my second stop on lap 5, and McEwen was tempted on his third stop on lap 6), but it will turn sub-4:19 laps in the dry, with a 4:19 flat on lap 7 on worn tires.

The no-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair gave a computer for the BMW safety car. Wow - a whole 630 Cr. if I fit it on an excess car before I sell it. Still, could be worse - it could have been the height-adjustable suspension I previously "won" for said safety car (worth a whopping 600 Cr. if fit to an excess car before selling) or a nitrous kit (which is worth exactly 0.00 Cr. when selling a car).

@Chris30, I haven't messed with Sarthe since PD messed with the clean race bonus a couple of physics changes ago, so I can't help you there. Pretty much any Gr.4 car can win at Sarthe. Do stay away from the BMW M4 - it is a turd pile stock. Some of the other low-PP Gr.4 cars really could use a dry track through the first 3 laps as they require a 1-stop strategy on normal difficulty. Even if you're playing on hard difficulty, the Lamborghini Huracan and Renault Megane Trophy are great choices among the Gr.4 cars that you can get at Brand Central - they're both quick and fuel efficient, though you'll need to adjust the fuel map on the Huracan to get 4 laps like Haywood does.

I drove the Alfa Romeo 4C, Nissan R92CP and Nissan GT-R GT500 '16 around Suzuka. i then drove my modified Viper GTS around Goodwood. After that I drove the Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion around Big Willow, decided that it was a disappontment, sold it and bought the Aston Martin One 77. I then proceeded to take my new car around Sardegna A.

Gave the M3 some rest over the weekend and instead grinded Sardegna in the RS 5 and Le Mans in my Huracán GT3 in anticipation of spending some money. My Mercedes collection is lacking for instance. The wheel has been particularly crappy lately with mostly 3 stars and 5/10k payouts.

1. 7 laps at Le Mans with the 911 RSR - RH and FM6 🥰

2. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ = Cr. 10.000 :irked:

3. Training on Lake Maggiore with the 962 and the 911 RSR in the WTC 700 and GT.3 Champ. My chrono are bit better but not yet enough for the 1 hour race.

4. Nevermind, I've tried the 1 hour in the Human Comedy with the 911 RSR. My previous score was 13th with the RX Vision. Today, I've finished 7th at 45 secs behind the winner. However, I'm satisfied because I had 6 laps in a row at 1:59. Training and practicing are the key.

Grinded (and it is a perfectly appropriate term considering the length of walls I've scratched) Tokyo with the Escudo and @Pizzapants's tune. Managed to get a 1:51 lap 😅 and the CRB, which netted me a cool 825k, which allowed me to buy the incredible F40 at LCD, one more Ferrari in my collection 🤪

I already have the Gordini (as a french I have my priorities 😆)

Not sure I'll grind a lot with that combo as it feels dumb, but here and there, to change from Sardegna... why not.

Bought a nice invite car :

Wait til' you build it.. not quite the Enzo, yes it'll be faster, but not quicker, but a VERY close 2nd.. IMO.. fwiw..

& speaking of

@Chikane_GTR .. thoughts, input ?? (yes, I know, in 2, I had a slight scuff.. but my E is so fast, it's not even fair.. LoL..).. the save at 5:50, had to change the undies after the race.. smh..

On the GTP account, I tried the Peugeot VGT (the original, not the Gr.3 variant) at Sardegna. On the plus side, it is quick (low-to-mid 1:40s when clear of traffic), with FM 6 and a bit of fuel saving, it will do 5 laps on fuel, and the tires will last 15 laps. On the minus side, it turns like the Titanic, and it takes fuel saving along with FM 6 to do 5 laps.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair was a bit more useless than usual, giving a racing muffler instead of cash. I went and bought a 2002 Dodge Viper for the fresh WRS time trial though. I almost wish I had waited a few more minutes, as it just came back into the UCD at a 14,200-Cr. discount.

On the Plus account, I stuck with the plan to go down the Gr.3 machines in order of PP rather than skip to the Gr.3 version of the Peugeot VGT, which meant it was time for the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II, made famous by the intro video in GT4. The gearing felt a bit faster than the test car, though I had to do a bit of fuel saving to make it 5 laps. Fraga was dominant among the AI cars for the first time in a while - in fact he had the fast lap of the race at 1:40.5 on lap 12, fractions better than me. Fortunately, he had traffic late, which allowed me to get ahead of him, and he also had to pit on lap 14, so my 26:34 was good for a 25-second win.

The 36th 3-star Wheel of Despair this year, out of 100 workout tickets, puked out the low-showing 10,000 Cr. Guess I should be happy that it wasn't 5,000 Cr. or a semi-racing muffler again, rather than mad that the odds of getting a 3-star are supposedly only 3 in 10, and that my 36% rate is noticeably higher than even the 33% it was pre-1.17.

Slid all over Spa like it was an ice rink. They need to set the physics and then leave it alone.
I used to be able to win the Spa 1 hour on hard mode with a number of cars, now I'm hanging on for dear life on easy. I turn the assists off and it's a skating rink. I turn them on and the car won't budge.
I said heck with it and did some MTX's to help finish up Brand Central. I've got four Martins left to finish it out (two require an invite), then I'm just going to wait til the fix the physics and play casually to win the remaining five Hagerty cars.
They seriously broke the game on this last update. Yeah, there's a time and place for difficult, high skill racing... and it's NOT in my living room. If I want that I'll watch ESPN or I'll buy tickets to the GTWS finals.

More what I yesterday now but I some experimenting with my 962. I put the steering angle on it and ran it at Spa for an hour. A bit longer as I had to pause to deal with the IRS a few times. Concluded that it helps the turn in quite a bit. The million 5 is a nice way to sit on hold. (Controller)

After that, ran MNR with a bone stock 959. Got killed but had fun. Think I will try that steering angle trick on it. Seems like the turn in is so slow that you end up over steering mid corner and sideways on exit. (Steering wheel)

Lastly I built a GT2 spec 1999 (2002) Dodge Viper from new. The used one plus a new engine is more than the dealership price. Drove it at Spa. I really wish that the full adjustable suspension actually let you put the hard springs that are on the race cars in the game. It also defaults to way to much camber. So if you built one, try 2.0 in front and 1.0 in the rear. When I get it figured out I was post the tune. Best lap in dry so far is a 2.21. But the sound 🥰 wish I had a seat with a base speaker in it. 🥴 (Controller but will be running it with the wheel to make sure the tune works on both. Wheel has priority)

I'm bilingual like that.

I took the Escudo & the Veyron to Tokyo. I lost the CRB when I went wide on the last hairpin with the Escudo on lap 11. I thought lost it when I tapped an AI on the side lap 9. I guess as long as I don't ram in the back it's okay. Got an ultra high rpm turbocharger for a Nismo GTR 17. To my chagrin I had the wrong version it just a regular GTR. So I went and the right version painted it highlighter green (that's not the name of the paint it just reminded me of that color) created a livery for it then I went to Sardegna with it. I knew it wouldn't get the fuel economy but I wanted to see if it was competitive which it was. Fuel economy was terrible

That sounds nice can you post the tune and setup.:)

In the past weeks, all I did was buy a few cars from Hagerty's. Haven't driven an inch with them or any other car yet. Not even for daily mileage tickets.
I've overdone the grinding for sure. Still can't get myself to do a single race and the inspiration for doing liveries is not back yet neither. Got 30+M left in the bank and hope that'll be enough to survive a few Hagerty waves.
