Another day, another 1 star card that gave me something i doubt i will use, thanks a 1000 credit PD
Took my GR4 Viper to the WTC, the goal was to make it to the ring and see if can compete with the AI/GR3 on that track. The first 4 races went "ok" it was refreshing to actual having to race against the AI instead of waiting for a chance to pass. The last race at N24 is suspended for tomorrow :)

Must be my lucky day, I won 500,000CR in a roulette and blew it all on building a 874bhp TOP SECRET Smokey replica NISSAN GTR '17 (after completing the GTR book), then rushed off to SS ROUTE X and did some 240mph test speedruns.

Tis' the GT way!

Won the Hyundai Genesis Coupe Gr.3 on a 4 Star Roulette Ticket and currently using it on WTC 5-track layout. So far 1st place through the first 3. Really enjoyed driving this car on GTS, seems great here too.

I used to "own" (had a lease) a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T back in the day. Was a fun little car, but it was the much weaker model 210HP before they upped it in the succeeding models to 274HP.

Checked out the LCD and was disappointed none of the cars were sold out, that means no new cars tomorrow.
Checked out the UCD and was disappointed only 1 new car was useful (I find all 2001+ cars in the UCD an utter waste of space).

Bought the Renault Clio V6 24V ‘00 from UCD.
Farmed Trial Mountain Cup for a total of 4 championships.
Received 10K Cr. from my 2-star daily ticket.
Bought the Porsche 356 A/1500 GS GT Carrera Speedster ‘56 from LCD.
Logged off.

For the rest I didn’t play the game. This utter low credit BS from custom races completely sucks any fun out of the game for me. They can’t fix this soon enough IMO. Please for the love of the Holy Car God, let us get a decent amount of credits from custom races. And not dependant on car performance but on time driven in the events. Otherwise custom races will also just become a Tomahawk grind fest. I want to have some fun driving some low PP classic cars in custom races and still have a decent reward at the end.

Used my fanatec gt pro setup this evening for first time.

Raced on Spa and Nordschleife (sp?) in thr Porsche cup. Gosh what experience that was, particularly nordschleife. Sensation of speed, all the bumps in the road, engine roaring, gearing up/down sound effects. Squeezed 1st on one of tge final turns. It really was immense!

Besides entering a Nations Cup race, I had won the 0-400 Acceleration Battle 3. I also entered an arcade race at Red Bull Ring short course using a De Tomaso Mangusta and won that race.

If you’ve not seen it yet, I highly recommend this tune from @praiano63:

Post in thread 'PRAIANO'S TUNES : SETTINGS FOR GT7'

So the Prius experimenting went... sort of well. The CVT ended up being the dud component, with no way to actually mess with it the car struggles past 90 MPH and just runs out of hustle around 125. I seem to have made it run entirely off the engine though, as despite what the little graph on the dash says the battery just isn't discharging anymore. It's still a total abomination though, making noises that shouldn't come out of any car let alone a hybrid, and it does corner a lot better than before. So it's got entertainment value at least. It was mentioned that they would add more ways to tune cars in the future, hopefully some options for messing with the zappy bits of hybrids is among them.

So with that done, today I decided to pretty up the more expensive parts of my collection.

I was hoping the E-Type would have a ducktail spoiler as an option, but no such luck. It does have those leather tie-down straps as a hood pin option though, which is pretty neat though.

I too bought the Prius. The plan is to slam it and put it on some te37's :D
Be sure to ram all the engine upgrades into it too, if you want to know what it sounds like to make popcorn with a leaf blower.

You sound like you have the troll car bug.
Doing inappropriate things to cars is my main source of entertainment in these kinds of games. I don't have the troll car bug, I am the troll car bug.

After taking a week off, I got back in today. Playing Horizon, elden ring, then gt7 consecutively took its toll. Needed a break. Iv been moving traction control from 1 down to zero successfully. Today I moved abs from default down to zero. Lost a bunch of time. No longer getting first on AI hard. But WOW is it so much more fun. I'm probably going to stick with it. Watching my replay I'm pretty bad right now with it. Using controller....

The wind speed and direction (mostly direction) can affect the outcome of this event. Try going in and out of the event a few times and see if you have any better luck. I don't remember which direction worked for me, but I think it was one that was going opposite the driving direction on the straight in the early part.
Today I did it!
But AI behavior was different, no matter of wind direction.
Before last two corners, now I had to overtake all but first.
And I was finally close enough to catch slipstream - it was ultra close photo finish!

Started Gone With the Wind and did first pass challenge.

I did another WTC700 race with the R32 Skyline and still ended up second. Oh well. Ground the Raptor at Daytona for 700,000 Cr some odd, and wore myself into a frazzle getting my Gr.3 class F430 around Laguna Seca. I'm afraid without a stellar tune, I'm just a Gr.4 / WTC600 racer.

Edit: just a Gr.4 / WTC600 racer with race tuned sports cars. Posted this when insomnia struck.

So the curious my ask, how well did you do with a GR4 car in a GR3 race at the Nurburgring.. i didn't live to tell about it..

Completed my 3 last missions with gold.
2 last drifting ones and the F1 Spa missions.

Made a F1 Lotus Type 25 livery and bought the Clio V6.

Today I listened to Vangelis Chariots of Fire, a fine tune, on repeat over and over and over in the main menu screen. Just as I did when it started yesterday. Stuck on an endless loop and no other songs able to dislodge it. I love some Vangelis, truly, but not in perpetuity.

Uploaded some .svg files.
Are they anywhere where we can see them?

I disable the menu music, it started to get on my nerves, mostly because it doesn't just play the tune to an end..

Was it GT6 that let you have custom background music from the PS3 harddrive, i used the Tron Legacy soundtrack, it was awesome

Once you do the last cafe book, it'll go back to normal.

Didn't have much time to play yesterday. Took my new Evo Gr3 to Daytona PP730 and won it by a tick under a second. Had to add a smidge of down force to the back to get her under 730P but it's a very stable car... and surprisingly thirsty for a four-banger.

ABS on but no other aids on.

Ha, the AI is brutal. I'm doing a multi-class endurance race with heavy damage. It changes the game as the slightest brush with a wall screws up your suspension and down force. I've done many laps having to steer slightly one way to go straight lol.

Yet the most damage I have received and forced me to limp to the pit was from the AI rear ending me while I gave them plenty room to pass. The TS050 simply boosted into me in a braking zone. Engine damage, punted into the wall, wall penalty, front, back, all 4 wheels, everything blinking. The TS050 simply drove away. He was one lap behind as well, blue flag murder.

Maybe it's better to leave them on intermediate level and race against a higher class. Not that it matters, no clue why the TS050 fell a whole lap behind at pro level with me in the Sauber C9. He did set the fastest lap in one of his boost sessions.

No wonder the whole campaign is pass the docile moving pylons. As soon as you want to engage with them they are worse than SR.B dive bombers. And they respect the blue flag about as much as online players

The day started off badly , I somehow made a pigs ear out of my R32 , so had to check it against the tune I found on here , yup all my fault . So after a tune up got a sub 2min 5sec lap at Mount Panorama . Then I tried this.............

paCzFWI.jpg

Yup my silly tuned Veyron , mixed and matched tunes from various places and in it's 800pp setup it did a........

Sub two min lap of Mount Panorama and scared the crap out of me on more than once occasion .

Next up was these two Nissan's

xD91wpn.jpg

This one needs a bit of sorting out as it's a bit loose here an there so more tuning required .

jZnD6it.jpg

However this one is so planted thanks to @praiano63 tune and a lot of fun to drive .

Lastly the MK1 Ford GT40 , which is still giving me a headache with it's handling , again something i'm still fine tuning , no rush it will get there.............eventually .

Tried to see if I could get the GR Supra or 458 Italia into contention for Race B, they both have wonderful handling but alas I couldn't beat my Atenza time, the races themselves were far too push and shove to take much from other than neither car was going to move me up the order. Think that'll do for me for the week there, couple of cart races and another Brands Hatch tomorrow, far more entertaining.

Spent the week dealing with covid, so used the time getting more familiar with using a wheel. Finished the cafe stuff, ripped through the missions, bought some cars, did some races, and am now working on doing some liveries for the community. First up is a Dodge Hellcat as a well worn, lightly rusted stock car in a matte plum crazy base. Basically, I enjoyed spending a lot of time with the game.
