Spent most of the afternoon/evening driving new music rallies.
Yeah, I know the majority of players dislike this mode, but I'm having fun chasing those meters.
The only downside is that it comes with no reward of any kind.

Some I drove multiple times to better my result, some only once to get gold.
This one I drove numerous times and I'm pretty satisfied with it:
MoonMusicRally.jpg

On to the driving (not racing...yet). I started with the GTP account, and the first new music rally. While the speed of the elderly Beetle is nothing like that of the Gr.3 cars I usually use at this version of Sardegna, (not to mention the 2008-vintage GT500 car I use to grind), the braking points are surprisingly similar. After getting used to the simplified interface, I got over 5 miles in on a run.

The second rally is glitched - if one tries to get a gold distance right off the bat, the music track screen comes up before progress is saved. I had to set a silver distance first, then I could get a gold distance to stick. That said, the Trans Am rewards smooth and early inputs.

I got distracted by the Pacific Ocean initially on the third rally, but made it through in gold distance. The 4th one was very simple, at least once I remembered to sufficiently slow for the bus stop. The newer Huracan is not well-suited to the Music Rally - it took 2 tries to get gold. The last rally was surprisingly easy - the Whale Tail didn't really try to kill me.

As I am not doing the music rallys on the Plus account, it was finally time to race. First up was the Japanese 4WD Challenge at Fisherman's Ranch. The only dirt car I had that had dirt tires already installed was an otherwise-stock 2014 Subaru WRX used in an older WRS time trial. It doesn't have the moxie to catch the Mazda3, and I don't have the dirt-racing skills. I then remembered I had a somewhat-tuned Mitsubishi GTO with dirt tires (580 PP). I ended up throwing more parts at it as two of the things I didn't have on it were a custom suspension and custom transmission, raising the PP to 590. After many restarts, Brooks was finally not the rabbit, and I took the close win in 3:21. Surprisingly, it was also clean.

I stuck with the GTO, putting the 588 PP road tune back on, for a few trips around Red Bull Ring in the other Japanese 4WD Challenge. It was overkill, getting an unclean (I don't know where I went off) 9.5-second win in 5:14.

I stayed in Europe for the Hypercar event at St. Croix. As there was a Valkyrie, I tried the Ferrari FXX K, which was overkill in the previous Hypercar events. As it was too fast, I switched to the Lamborghini Veneno. It was sloppy, but as Beaouvis in his Valkyrie started near the rear and had trouble with traffic, my 11:20 was good enough for a 0.7-second win.

As time was running short, I grabbed the 2008 Honda NSX GT500 for the last new event, the WTC 800 at Autopolis. The fuel is not a concern - I still had about 4.5 laps left. Tires are - they got quite worn by lap 10, and a 5-second off cost me the clean race bonus. Still, I managed to win by 37 seconds in 17:46.

After all that driving, the 4-star Wheel of Despair extended the completely-worthless Citroen invitation I already had. Never change, PD.

On the Plus account, I ran the 1995 McLaren F1 GTR around Autopolis. The tires a a bit dodgy for a 10-lap run, and I had to set FM to 3 (I might have be3en able to get away with 2 as I had just under 2 laps' worth of fuel left), but it was good for a clean 4.4-second win in 18:26.

Before pausing activity again, I took my cashless 4-star Wheel of Despair for the workout. It was the worst of the day, puking out a nitrous system. Never ****ing change, PD.

After buying dirt tires for the Mitsubishi Evo IV (which was tuned for the 550 PP Clubman Plus), taking the weight away and adding back the power, I took it to Fisherman's Ranch for the Japanese 4WD Challenge. Did I mention how much I hate dirt? After a bunch of resets, I managed to get a nail-biter win in 3:24.

Next up was the Red Bull Ring for the other Japanese 4WD Challenge. After restoring the 550 PP tune, the Evo IV, I took a clean 5-second win in 5:28.

The final race of the evening was the St. Croix Hypercar Parade, done with the brand-new Aston Martin Valkyrie. Once I realized it was trying to kill me in 2nd gear, it was no contest - I took a 13-second win in 10:45, though I don't know where I lost the CRB.

I returned to the GTP account to grab the returning Alfa Romeo Giulia, as I had used the one I had for a WRS time trial.

Today,I took the 996 GT3 and Evo TMR for a spin to get me the Evo III,which i promptly resprayed Scotia White to replecate the one I used to see on the way to school every morning back in '96,ahh how I miss those days.:)

Bought the Evo III and the Blobeye Impreza, did the Red Bull Ring time trial in the Valkyrie, drove the Impreza on Grand Valley, tuned it and took it to Kyoto Driving Park where I drove for almost 30 minutes. I then took the Evo III around the Nurburgring and engine swapped the Alpine A110, which I then went on to fully tune with a laundry list of upgrades. After that I drove it around Maggiore.

My silver time at the Gr. 4 Watkins Glen actually held so I got my first ever million from the time trial.

Then I went on a journey to get a rig and a racing seat from a local store for the Fanatec DD Pro I ordered Sunday which is supposed to arrive Monday so I still have to assemble the stand and check if I need to order a mounting bracket for the chair or if it fits as-is, but I’m guessing it’s going to be the former case. I took a nap when I got home and slept a lot longer than I had intended so it cut into my grinding time.

I started by buying the Valkyrie and ran it stock at the new hypercar race which was a very easy victory. Then I detuned it and ran it at Sardegna and did a one-stop race but it was pretty slow since I can’t adjust the downforce so I had to reduce power A LOT. Then I did a bunch more grinding and got up to 26 million credits so I bought another Mclaren F1 which put my collector points above 900,000 finally. Got 3 crappy 4-star tickets from the new menus and DW that paid out 30k or less. Fun…

1. Golded all the music rallies (except the 8th where there's a bug if you got the gold)

2. Spent +/- 30 mns on Red Bull Ring with the Valkyrie and I've finally improved my PB at 1:20.804 (bronze). I could probably manage to get the silver but I have zero hope for the yellow medal.

3. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ : parts for the Toyota GR Supra RZ... :boggled:

Finished farming back cash spent on new cars, new car tunning, new engine swaps, new engine swaps tunning.
From now on it will be back to praying for pagani invite on dailly tickets and wait for r32, r32 nismo, challenger, superbird, skyline '70 and f40 to comeback to ucd/lcd.

Last night I took the Escudo to Tokyo, then I took my C8 to LeMans but I made sure to get some wet tires 😁. Rain came on lap 4 and I was low on fuel ending into lap 6 but had 1.30 second between me and 2nd place. So I slow and get close to finish line and hope the gap was big enough to win because if not I pm screwed. So I spend the next minute looking in my rears to looking at the map while watching the time tick down. I ended up finishing 3 seconds ahead of Portilla. I took the Sauber to Sardegna. I bought the WRX & the Evo to complete those menus. Got nothing of substance from the 2 4* tickets ad the 3* I got for the DW. I drove the Valkyrie at the time trial. I love that car! I have to grind a little bit more as I want to get 2 of them.

Sorry for the late reply.

But TTs are just not my thing I just don't feel comfortable doing them which is why I rarely try them, I feel more comfortable doing a Tokyo or Sardegna better.:)
Do what you want of course but I asked because in one lap you won't really manage anything decent. Even someone who might make a top 100/200 position or somewhere around there at the end of the time trial could start with an awful first lap. If everyone stopped after one lap the times would be quite terrible.

4. Started to gold the 3 Willow CE (Corvette, Mustang, and Lancia)

After my hardly gained gold medal at Watkins Glen, I can now tackle Brands Hatch with the Genesis, and RBR with the Valkyrie.

Did 8 laps on BH, I like this combo, this car is fun to slide around. Improved my lap time continuously from 1:52.761 to 1:44.757 and there is still a good margin. Silver is around 1:44.xxx so it will be "easy" to get. Gold in the 1:42.xxx will be quite harder, we'll see, not so much time left and I am leaving for holidays in a few days.

Did 4 laps on RBR with the Valkyrie, was very cautious with the right pedal but it was much more driveable than what I was expecting with comments of some folks. Went from 1:27 to 1:23 rather quickly and with muc improvement ahead. Optimal in 1:22.xxx
Solid bronze for now, Silver might be possible but as I am leaving for holidays that's not sure.

Also bought the Genesis for TT, a Honda NSX R '02 to put the S part that was in stock too.

DW 4* brought a WR stage 5 for Ferrari Enzo, which I happen to have, for once, went from 1255kg to 978 or something like that, a nice loss of weight ! Value 500k so not so bad, even if I don't really need id, and I would like to have had the Lamborghini invite just near it.

Ok, so in no particular order this is how my GT racing session went on today:
  • Downloaded the 1.35 update > Installed without a hitch lol. :sly:
  • Did the MUSIC RALLIES up until Hooked into America and then got bored, the Maserati is great fun to drive!
  • Went into Sport mode straight and saw the Valkyrie TT. Managed to get a 1.21 or sumething after a few lap tires in the Aston!
  • Then recieved a 1mill bonus for a previous time trial.
  • Went to Brand central to see the new cars. I didnt realise they added the TT isle of man Impreza. That car is cool!
  • Back to the Cafe shop and noticed the new extra menus (its nice now it tells you that the cars are in stock or not) make it much easier to track down.
  • Went and bought the Legend car of Skyline '71 coupe and completed the GTR collection.
  • Tuned the car to 455bhp and modded in grand prix white. This car sounds so good!
  • Got a 6star ticket to get an Aventdaor SV engine.
  • Then needed some more dosh so grinded a bit on the rallies, took the V6 Alphard to the Rally Fishers ranch dirt track, was fun!
  • Came back to CE and saw they fixed the Audi R18C CE, after a few tries nailed it and was happy. 1mil and 15k collected.
  • Then over to Michelin Roadway Atlanta, to tackle the CE of the Beetle GR.3 Race car, this car is rubbish understerry crap, but nailed it also after a few concentrated tries.
  • Then took some photos of my newly acquired retro skyline on track and in Scapes.
  • Updated cover profile photo till next game sesh.
Overall a decent update I feel, just goota get some more engine swaps going and do sum crazy custom races. Any idea where the Aventador engine can go in which car?

Today..

I bought 4 Valkyries each color.
I bought 4 F1s
I bought a Vulcan
I bought the Mercedes 300SL W194 1952.

After a day doing new content, it wasn't quite back to the grind, at least on the GTP account. First, I bought a few cars from Brand Central I passed on to focus on completing the Hagerty's collection:
  • 2014 Jaguar F-type R
  • 2017 Lexus LC500
  • 2007 Audi R8 4.2
  • 2008 Maserati GranTurismo S
  • 2015 Aston Martin V8 Vantage S
  • 2017 AMG Mercedes-AMG GT R
I left myself enough money to buy a longtail BMW McLaren F1 (the last Hagerty's car) and two each of the two Nissan R32 GT-Rs for future engine purposes, then went to Sarthe for the usual 825,000 Cr. and the mileage in the Toyota 86 Gr.B, as none of those cars are really suitable for that grind. I initially forgot I didn't have a customized transmission for it, nor did I set it up for a run on pavement, but I sorted that out quickly. It's still a tune in progress - it has the speed to do 8 laps in the dry, but the tires aren't quite up to it.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr. It could have been worse. That allowed me to get the last 3 cars under 300,000 Cr. - the 2016 Toyota S-FR Racing Concept, the 2010 McLaren MP4-12C and the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4.

Before heading to the Plus account, I tried the Valkyrie time trial, and I can't get within a second of silver, even with abusing the electric assist. Oh well.

On the Plus account, I took the Subaru WRX Gr.4 to Sarthe. It is not fast enough to do a dry 2-stop run (mid-4:26 lap hindered by traffic on the aborted run), nor is it fuel efficient enough to do a 1-stop race (it's about 0.2 laps short). I solved the riddle by going with FM 2, a decision helped by the fact I was fooled into intermediate tires on lap 3 by the radar the first half-time around. That may or may not have worked had things stayed dry. They didn't - the rain came in earnest on lap 5. Fortunately, I saw it coming and took intermediates for an easy win.

The month ended mostly as it began - the lowest-showing prize on a 3-star Wheel of Despair. Instead of a ninth 5,000 Cr. though, it was 10,000 Cr. on an all-cash wheel. For the month, that is the 11th 3-star Wheel of Despair of 23 workouts on this account and 17th of 46 workouts between the two accounts. For the year so far, that's 57 of 150 3-star Wheels of Despair on this account

Did a few small races yesterday, in some of them ,i never understand how i missed the CRB .
The credits was low and need to recover from the new cars i bought so i run and one lemans with my favourite " mule " , 962 .
At the upcoming weekend, i don't see me doing much , perhaps couple of races to grab the daily ticket and that's all.
Very hot here and am not intend to spend my time at home while i live close to the sea.
Have a good weekend guys .

I'm hoping to get on tonight and grind enough to get 2 Valkyries so I'm going try really hard not to look around Brand Central. There's a couple of cars there I have been wanting but I have been working on the LCD mostly so I have ignored them because I can get them at any time. I am almost done with LCD there's only like about 5 cars that I want now.

.. smh.. not even gonna' get into it smoothy, but that's my biggest beef with this game.. one tiny/minor scuff and so long CRB.. sooooo aggravating.. don't get me started.. LoL!.. have a good weekend bra'!

.. btw, you know our trillionaire is a friggin' maniac ????

NW.

Definitely it becomes very annoying some times since is not " clear" when and for what you loose it .
Am already to the idea to don't count on it and forget about it .
To much sterilisation in some events.

I did some beta testing on classic NASCARs with DHR. Something up coming.
@SnakeEyes427

Hmmm.. perhaps something like the NWSaint NASCAR Heat #4 ride ??

Smoothy.. it's not even a joke.. the time it happens to me the most is when i'm going into a corner at the start in 16th place & one of them bottom-feeders decides to hit the brakes when i'm in my apex/line, like just slams on it.. the more i'm figuring out this game the more i'm inclined just to lay back & let them bottom-feeders play with each other.. cuz really, my Enzo will take ANY of them as soon as I have the chance.. Trial Mountain/HCP, by the time I get to the tunnel, bye bye, and then, and only then let the CRB commence!

Enough..Time to open that can.. brb!
