A race b daily - 4th
Finally I did my first Sardegna 800 with the 458Italia GR3, I love that
Then finally the track experience for Sardegna all silver and one bronze, I need to improve but the Audi is HUGE in that track, wow

On the GTP account, I dug out the 2008 Honda NSX GT500 to grind Sardegna. The insulting third 3-star Wheel of Despair of the month on this account (and 5th of 15 between the two, pending the Plus account run) gave the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr. Still, I had enough to get the two French FWD Gr.4 cars, the Peugeot RCZ and Renault Megane.

On the Plus account, I used the Subaru WRX Gr.3. It isn't quite quick enough to get Fraga when he is superhuman - high-1:42 laps while getting less than 6 laps per tank was the best I could do, and the back tires do burn off by lap 15 on a no-stop run as the car is lively. Fortunately, he miscalculated his fuel and had to make a third stop, so my 26:54 was good enough for the win.

Fortunately, it wasn't the 6th of 16 3-star Wheel of Despair, but the 4-star gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr.

Its been a long road.:)

FINALLY, got back into cat. C Saturday, with a significant points score which put me about 1/3 completed on cat. C as well!
I have been here before and been absolutely swamped from the seaming gulf in difference between cat.D and cat.C.

First race in cat. C was horrific from the start at Kyoto. rammed into the wall at the first hairpin and having spun out, managed to salvage only 14/16.

I have begun to realise the less involved you get the higher you'll finish :) Having had a hard fought 9/16 in my second race in cat. C the final race of the evening I managed a silky 2nd place finish, literally by pitting when i was in some mad battle for 4, sat in the middle 4/5/6/7/8/9; it was an elbow out fest of just trying to not lose a place. I pitted, under-cut and sat in 5th, I watched 2/3/4 in front of me hit into each other down the straight, spin out and eventually with 2 laps left I was sat pretty about 5seconds clear "chasing" 1st about six minutes ahead haha.

It's top fun.

I'm working on a livery from the Spa 24h race, but otherwise I've not played much, mainly due to being in Spa, then away for work trip, then away all weekend visiting family.

I did, however, get a 4* ticket (Daily workout) and a 5* ticket (completing the Alpine Menu book) - it cost me 1,000,000 Cr. to complete the Alpine menu book, and the 5* ticket gave me 100,000 Cr. :ouch: The 4* ticket gave me 30,000 Cr. :(

Last week i started testing all Gr.3 cars at the grind race of Sardegna. I don't have a lot of time but i already finished 10 races. I start with a medium turbo and racing medium tires with a 2 stop strategy. When i see that the car doesn't use much tires i switch to softs after the first stint. This is what i have up to now:

AMG Mercedes GT3 '20

Fuel Management 4, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 25:47
Best Lap: 1:37,184

Audi R8 LMS Evo '19
M/M/M
Fuel Management 4/3, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 25:33
Best Lap: 1:35,677

BMW M6 GT3 Endurance '16
M/S/S
Fuel Management 4, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 26:02
Best Lap: 1:38,995

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Gr.3
M/M/M
Fuel Management 5, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 25:58
Best Lap: 1:37,607

Ferrari Italia 458 GT3
M/M/M
Fuel Management 3, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 25:48
Best Lap: 1:37,294

Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car
M/M/M
Fuel Management 4, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 25:28
Best Lap: 1:35,936

Ford Mustang Gr.3
M/M/M
Fuel Management 4, Final Position: 2
Overall time: 25:57
Best Lap: 1:37,932

Mazda Atenza Gr.3

Fuel Management 3, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 26:15
Best Lap: 1:39,131

M/S/S
Fuel Management 3, Final Position: 1
Overall time: 25:46
Best Lap: 1:37,008

Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette '84
S/S/S (because i had no chance on mediums)
Fuel Management 3, Final Position: 2
Overall time: 26:18
Best Lap: 1:39,547

I am a medium B-rated driver with automatic transmission and DS5 controller on the PS5. I made some mistakes of course but only spins that cost me about 4 to 5 seconds per race. As usually when grinding i am not concentrating 100%.

There are 5 more Gr.3 cars that i own, that i will race this week:
Nissan GTR '13
Nissan GTR '18
Toyota Supra '99
Toyota Supra '18
Subaru BRZ GT300 '21

After that i will buy the rest of the Gr.3 cars one after another to slowly complete the list over the summer. Hope there is no big physics update in between.

It could have been worse - you could have picked up a part (which I did on the Plus account, worth 19,000 Cr. in GT Auto/1,900 Cr. on a car being sold) or an invite.

@KAlex122 - That sounds like a more-expensive version of what I'm doing at Sardegna. My runs involve bone-stock Gr.3 cars, and runs on normal difficulty, which makes them about a minute longer than your runs on what I presume is hard difficulty.

Fraga is a big variable on normal runs. If and only if he gets through traffic early and isn't hounded into running short on fuel on his 3rd/usually last stint, he'll turn 1:41-1:42 laps to finish in the 26:40s, a sight faster than everybody else's mid-to-high-27:00's. If he's not the first car on a 2-stop strategy by lap 6, that turns into 26:50s, and if he's not close at that point, he runs like everybody else.

I'm down to the bottom 12 (of 48) Gr.3 cars, and I found that, so far, I can reliably get most of the top third in PP into the 26:40s (and, if I push the machine and stretch the tires, some down into the 26:30s), with most of the middle third run in the 26:50s. As I'm alternating between Sardegna and Sarthe, that's another 24 days (or less if I stop alternating Sarthe in after the last 3 Gr.4 cars are retested with the current physics).

I completed my 296 GT3 Spa 24h tribute livery... full version in my gallery in my sig...

I was almost apoplectic with rage when it wouldn't apply in GT Auto. I even restarted GT7 and it still didn't work, but thank goodness it did eventually work. Took around 4 hours over the last few evenings.

I tried it out at Spa 24 / WTC 800 and sadly it is not likely to be a competitor there... I may be able to tune it up a bit, but I was all over the place with it. Got a 3* ticket and 10,000 Cr. for my trouble. Might treat my La Ferrari to half a set of Medium tyres with it :ouch:

Wow. What a turn around.

Going from having an absolute blast in cat.C to wondering why on Earth some people play this game. How utterly frustrating.

Hands up, first race of the evening totally out-braked myself and t-boned someone from 7th handed a 5sec pen (justified), finished 12th. From then on, trying to be decent driver all hell breaks loose. Second race handed 5sec penalty from someone spearing me from behind and slamming me into another car. 15/16. Last race, spun 4 times in one lap. Honestly.

People are moronic. It’s this nonsense that caused me to quit last time. I don’t mind elbows out but tapping people to spin them on the straight is completely ridiculous and pushing them into corners it’s SOO annoying. Last race started 6th dropped two places at the start, kept the nose clean for two laps. Then got spun down the straight by some plonker. Dead last, managed to claw back up to 8th to be spun down the straight, knocked round into the 2nd hairpin, then spun twice on the uphill run (at Sardegna). Rage quit.

Ahh. Lovely rant.

Today I had a amazing 5 race online battle with @DextroCat Amazing racing and thank you.

He won 3-2.:)

Amazing racing @DextroCat

Videos.

Race 2 Chikane wins.

Race 4 DextroCat wins.

I didn't save race 5 and that one was amazing.:(

My first ever online race was a joy thanks to you, much appreciated. I probably wouldn’t haven’t have won if you started in first and you had me at 2/3 but I had the comeback for 3/5. Here’s race 5 from my VR perspective if anyone is interested:

I also did some grinding at Sardegna and Le Mans, bought 2 more XJR-9’s. Got a 4-star ticket that gave me the KTM X-Bow R.

Was playing around with the Porsche esports trial today.

Managed a best lap of 3:47 flat (was good for 48th in the USA at the time) with an optimal lap of 3:46.4.....yeah, guess I won't be getting any invites lol.

On the GTP account, I tried to get the Porsche 917K around Sarthe. That is a slippery beast that I couldn't get under 3:55.

For the cash, I ground Sarthe with the Viper Gr.4. The fourth 3-star Wheel of Despair of 9 on this account (and, pending the Plus run, sixth of 17 between the two accounts) gave something even more worthless than the lowest-possible/low-showing 5,000 Cr., a nitrous bottle. Still, I had enough to complete the Gr.4 collection by buying the Subaru WRX and Volkswagen Scirocco, as well as buying the Lamborghini Murcielago.

On the Plus account, it was the Mitsubishi Lancer Gr.4's turn at Sarthe. Thanks to the 5-speed transmission, and a bit of understeer, it won't do much better than 4:26 in the dry. Fortunately, it will do 4 laps on fuel despite lacking a 6th gear. The race itself was a washout - I could have done a 6-lap laugher as 2nd place didn't finish his 6th lap until after 32 minutes. I did, however, need to see just how fast the Lancer could go on a (mostly-)dry lap, so I did a 7th lap.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair puked out a racing muffler. At least it wasn't the showing invite or a semi-racing muffler.

1. Start my daily Clean Race Challenge with the 3 races at Le Mans. For the fun, I've decided to race only with Aston Martin cars (Valkyrie, AM V12 GT3 and AM DRB9 GT1) and I won the 3 races with the CRB ;)

2. ⭐⭐⭐ : parts for the Alfa Romeo Guilia GTAm (worth Cr. 8.000... :boggled:)

3. As I still have 5 Super licences to gold to win the platinium trophy, I've decided to pratice the Tokyo Expressway CE with the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept to gold the S-4. Only the final lap still in bronze (for now).
