What did you do in GT7 today?

Hopped on and made a fictional Competizone spec of the MC20 and took it to Le Mans 700, the fuel usage is not the best on the car but it sounds really nice and the handling and performance is pretty good on it, I will further upgrade it and test it out at Sardegna with a proper racing setup though I imagine the fuel usage will be extremely poor with added power so I will mainly just do full weight reduction and racing softs along with probably a low RPM turbo for short shifting.
What fuel usage do you get at LeMans? Hopefully it's at least 3 laps. You can win with 2 laps but car has to be really fast.

I use FM6 and got just about 3 laps with short shifting just before the RPM bar starts to fill.

Like already mentioned, I am done with this game already feeling fooled by PD to ride the same cars like in GTSPORT.

But my son (Bruno, 9 years old) loves that game because it's that easy. So he did a new GTWC season and made a LeMans and Monza race (custom race with real GTWC liveries and names), finished second by starting last in both, he leads the championship already.

It can be very relaxing to just pick a car go to a track you enjoy and just drive
Indeed. I got the free movie GT-R GT3 and went to the Red Bull Ring (which is one of the tracks in the film) to just test it out for a minute and inspect the car and how it looked on track, maybe take a couple photos, etc.

Ended up spending close to an hour hot-lapping the track which is far longer than I meant to stay there.

Fan(atec)tastic!

I'm also recreating GTWC races using Custom Races and I was just thinking today about trying to make it into a tournament... I did the 3h Nurb race a couple of weeks ago, and will also set up a race at Spa (but may not bother with the full 24 hours :scared:

Great to see Crestani and the Grasser Lambo have made the cut!... I met Sam Neary and his family at the Spa 24h a few weeks back and so I have his name on the car instead of Crestani

My GTWC grid and race report are here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/what-did-you-do-in-gt7-today.405061/page-301#post-14065630

Kudos to Bruno for setting that up, and good luck for the rest of the season!

@smoothbore12 ... Another data point for you, should you need it.

Today I ran Le Mans with the Ford Shelby GT350R (a car I used to own, or the non-R version, anyway) stock with only RS tires added.

A large storm started in at the end of Lap 2 (only light blue for now), fortunately for me, I needed fuel so I stopped and also fitted IM tires. Upon exiting the pits, moderate rain was beginning to show up and by the end of Lap 3, it was moderate but enough to soak the track. This dark blue and a little green lasted all of lap 4 and ended by 5. A small band of light rain from lap 5 to 6 not enough to rewet the track.

As for the car, it's certainly powerful enough, but very thirsty. Had I not made a pretty significant mistake at Indianapolis on the 2nd lap, I think I would have won easily. Fortunately, I did have to pit early for fuel and undercut the AI for IM's. The rain saved this race, I won by 2 seconds. Onto the next car!

Of course Grasser made the cut for me and my son, as this team also participate in the DTM. Can't see Garage59 on your list, one of the most successful teams in GTWC, wining titles almost every year (this year leading the Bronze Sprint Cup).

I just tried to pick up the most successful teams, that's why JP Motorsport McLaren isn't making the cut very often even if I love their livery (Black and Gold).

For me it's more fun watching how my nine year old son kills the AI almost every time. Still the graphics and sounds are the best of the best in racing games. Makes it just more sad that they wasted this potential. When he races the custom races and our championships, he wants me to be his crew, telling him when to pit and which strategy and tires, and so on. So that's still fun to me and every minute playing with my son is priceless :-)

That tournament idea is nice, how you do that and how you count the points then?

We are doing the normal 25 points for the win, 18 for second... Tournament wise I am always thinking about the system the Soccer Bundesliga had in the 90s for their indoor Masters during winter (DFB Hallenmasters) that was really fun to watch. It could work with cars that way too

I've not started a tournament yet, but will figure out something hopefully - I'm more concerned for the moment in trying to make realistic races, but it's quite tricky with the rubber banding, as I'm sure you're well aware already! Still, it should quite easy to figure out a fun tournament format - I was actually planning to do every race as a different driver, and adjust the settings of each car prior to each race (like ballast etc.) to keep things tight, but at this rate I will be lucky to actually be able to do it.

Two reasons my grid doesn't have Garage59 at the moment - 1) I've only got 1 McLaren, as I figured out a 'realistic' mix of cars would have 4 Merc/AMG, 4 Audi, 3 Porsche, 3 BMW, 3 Lambos, 2 Ferraris and 1 McLaren, and Sky Tempesta were my choice for McLaren because I got a cap signed by the drivers at Spa for or my nephew  Oh to have the full grid of 50-70 cars, that would be amazing to see, but it would also make it even harder to replicate in GT7!

If you want a realistic mix that's right. But we wanted the most successful ones, so we had to take Optimum McLaren as defending Gold Cup Champions and Garage59 as one of the most successful ones anyway, they will win another championship this year again (leading Bronze Sprint Cup). When I was still playing, I used to drive the Sky McLaren :-) so I like your choice of that one :-) and when they can hold on, Sky is leading the Bronze Endurance Cup;-)
Yeah ok I was thinking about that Tournament Mode either. But I am rather close of making different championships like in GTWC, then I just separate the most competitive Cup, the Bronze Cup into Sprint and Endurance. Was my idea for more variety.
I am really curious how the WEC will loom like, as they want just to allow two cars by every manufacturer, and Optimum Motorsport McLaren already showed interest, but already talking about the second car being not from Optimum but from Garage59. Anyway that will be interesting how and which teams and manufacturers will participate.

On the Plus account, the BMW M3 GT proved to be a big disappointment at Sardegna. It is slow - other than the last lap, the only times I broke into the 1:43s was with drafting help, and it doesn't even go 6 laps on fuel. On the plus side, tires do last 15 laps. Worse, Fraga jumped into 2nd by the end of the first lap and did 5-lap stints, so his 26:54 was good for a 13.4-second win over me, while my 27:08 was good for a 20-second gap over 3rd place.

The cherry on this **** sundae was the 2nd 3-star Wheel of Despair on this account (of 8) this month (and 3rd of 15 between the two accounts, pending the GTP run tonight). That puked up the low-showing 10,000 Cr.

On the GTP account, I bought a pair of Chevrolet Camaro Z28s for future engine purposes as the car just returned to Hagerty's, widening one of them. To get the money back, I used the Porsche 917K from the Porsche time trials, and got lucky in that Fraga was both slow and inefficient. The 4-star Wheel of Despair wasn't much help - it gave the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr.

Have you raced at Spa, it's weird b/c some races it will rain and then other times it won't. I guess it depends on what car I use. I'm talking about the Daily B ones using Group 4 cars. I own 2 Camaros in gt7.

Won the 1 hour Red Bull Ring race. This was only my second attempt. I ran it with the RX-Vision Stealth. I know nothing about the track, nothing about the car, but have driven all kinds of cars to victory in heavy rains at Spa, Le Mans, and High Speed Ring.
I ran ABS default, ASM, Auto Brake OFF, Auto Steer OFF, all driving line indicators ON, all MFD's ON, brake balance 0, RS tires, replace car if off, then completely stock parts and medium speed BoP. For hardware I ran on PS5 with the controller it came with, PSVR2, and the over the ear wireless headset.
I am TRASH at this game and to win all I did was mash the gas...and steer. I stopped as needed for fuel and tires. I don't fool with IM tired. I had one off, in the first pit stop I mistakenly took on fresh RS tires and in the third stop I let them put too much fuel in. I crossed the line for 35 laps right at the buzzer with Miyazono so close you coulda held up a dollar bill between our bumpers.
The race was challenging but not overly so, exciting, and fun. I think the PSVR2 and Mickey mouse headphones are what made this so easy.
Again, I am TRASH at this game. Famine I could beat you in a slowest challenge, that's where my skill level is.

My son is doing Spa today but custom race, let's see if he can keep it up with the AI.

Practice first then the race, all without any assists help or whatever. So like I said this game is way too easy. He is nine years old ;-)

I've done a couple Spa races, but since it takes (over) a hour for 1,500,000 Cr., when Sardegna takes less than a half-hour for essentially the same payout per hour and Sarthe takes (just over) a half-hour for a better payout per hour, I'll pass on grinding Spa.

Yesterday and today so far combine.

1. I took a bunch of GT3/GTE cars to Sardegna grind race.
M6 GT3 Sprint Model 2016
Viper SRT GT3-R
458 Gr.3
GT LM GTE 2018
Huracan GT3 2015
650S GT3 2015
911 991 RSR 2017

Also took the Toyota TS050 to Sardegna with a new better setup amazing car and its become my favorite for this race.:)

2. Did a few custom races with my Chrome Collection.
High Speed Ring__8.jpeg

3. Got a 4* ticket stuff and some part for a car I forgot what.

Another day, another race at Le Mans. This time in the Sauber C9. I figured after the work I had to do with the Shelby GT350R yesterday, I earned a walk in the park. And it really was so easy.

@smoothbore12

It didn't rain at all. Radar was zoomed out the entire race and end of Lap 2 there was a small band of light blue but never made it over the track. Then around Lap 5 a patch of light blue that again never made it.

It was a pleasant drive, at FM6 and RH tires, I didn't have to pit once and even took the 8th lap just to see if I could stretch that fuel out. Finished with 1 unit of fuel left.

I was then rewarded for my race with a 4* ticket that was showing a much needed Lamborghini invite ... Nope, 10k credits. Hopes dashed.

I'll finish the day at the Blue Moon Bay time trial to try to better my PB.

Thanks @GlockPants ,ill inform my notebook with yours and from other guys since i write them this month.

Other than that , close to 100 million yesterday 🤭 i bought the two Aston Martin and race each at lemans plus i bought what was missing from the brand.
Today i will enjoy the new Porsche 911 at LCD at Porsche and German challenges ....after one lemans of course 😄 .
Its a car that leaves you a smile at your face , you can trust me on that.

Seems my earlier post got lost 😕

Put ECU for the '09 Vette in my Firebird.

Swapped engines in my former DHR Camaro. Then added wide rims and wide body.

Now, not gameplay but for gameplay, building a shelf for my shifter to move it down and out.

*Done! Shifter has a movable shelf, pedals and, wheel centered. So for all you that say they can't use a wheel without a fancy game seat, yes you can.

With the Jag now in the LCD I have to choose if I want that or save what I can grind in the little time I have to get the Menu Maserati 🤔

I have been having great success with my Mono at Le Mans. I even got 5 laps out of on fuel map 6! Given the rain was there proper, it was time for wets as well. With FM set back to 1, I was 20+ seconds ahead at end.
All that just to say, 3 million in the bank and 9 million till I can get the Jag. Here's hoping the Maserati is not a 20 million dollar car. 😮‍💨

Guess not. Maserati
A6GCS/53 Spyder
1954
2,900,000
Legendary Cars

On the GTP account, I took a few slow laps around Road Atlanta in the GR Corolla, eventually getting a 1:38 dead. After that, I decided to try to get silver at the soon-to-end Blue Moon Bay trial, and somehow got a 1:15.1 to (hopefully) clinch that.

Before I ground Sardegna, I opened my 4-star workout ticket in the hope that something good would come from it That "something" turned into the middle-showing/lowest-legal/2nd-highest-possible 500,000 Cr. That finally allowed me to get the Aston Martin Valkyrie to complete that Extra Menu and grab the engine ticket, which gave me another Enzo engine.

To refill the coffers, I hit Sarthe with the slightly-tuned Honda NSX Gr.B. I didn't risk the 6-lap strategy despite the very-heavy rain on lap 3. Assuming neither the Ford Mustang Boss nor the Corvette ZR-1 C4 comes back tomorrow, and that silver time at Blue Moon Bay holds, I'll likely be buying at least one of the two fake Ford GT Gr.3 cars in a bid to finally complete that category.

On the Plus account, I let the BMW M3 GT redeem itself at Sarthe. It did so quite nicely with a fast lap of 4:05.7. The no-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair puked out another Citroen invite, extending the one I got 4 days ago.

In no particular order:
Bought the Nissan R32 NISMO and BMW M3 E30 Sport Evolution to complete the Group A menu.
Bought the Daihatsu Copen, Honda S660 and Suzuki Cappuccino to complete the Kei Car menu.
Bought the Mach Forty and Fugu Z to complete the SEMA menu.
Bought the Aston Martin DB5 to complete the Aston Martin menu.
Bought the C1 Corvette, gave it the "Barbie" treatment and took it to Grand Valley.
Drove the GR Corolla around Road Atlanta.
Modified my Nissan R32 NISMO and took it to Suzuka.
Drove the Maserati MC20 around Maggiore.

The past few days: Bought three C1 Corvettes, two MC20's, one '69 Camaro for the swap. I also bought two Kei cars to complete the menu. My menu rewards were 500k for the Kei and an FXX K for the Astons. Ran some TT's at RBR. Got 30k and 5k from the wheel.

The MC20, C1, and Camaro,(swap) are excellent. The C1 was a pleasant surprise. The Camaro is a beast at full upgrades, almost undriveable with all the wheelspin. It's much better tuned down a bit.

This what I did the last couple of nights. I didn't have much time to play on Tuesday night so I started with the movie GTR at LeMans but was going to take up too much time. So I bought another MC20 and bought every part for it and painted it gold metallic. I took it LeMans for some hot lapping. For me that car was blazing fast. It was faster than the Valkyrie on that track by .4 seconds. Mind you it only has something like 864 hp at 764 pp while the Valkyrie has well over 1000 hp at 931 pp. It cost 4 mil cr versus 300 k cr! I'll have to do e runs with both to see which car is better. I think the Valkyrie gets the slight edge because I believe it handles better but the MC20 is a beast. Got a stage 5 kit for a Hellcat from a 4 ⭐ 🎫. Last night I took the Aston Martin VGT to LeMans and didn't get a drop of rain. Got titanium connecting rods for the lastest Mustang from a ⭐⭐⭐⭐🎟️

1. Lightly improved my PB at RBR TT with Godzilla at 1:31.033. My objective is still to gain 0.5 sec to score at 1:30.5x00

2. ⭐⭐⭐⭐: Ferrari invitation  WTF, I said Aston Martin or Citroen.... :irked:

On the Plus account, I'm down to the last two Gr.3s to test at Sardegna. Today was the Volkswagen GTI VGT's turn, and it is SLOW-with-a-capital-W (only 1 lap under 1:45), inefficient (requires FM 2 to make it 5 laps on fuel) and dodgy on tires (I really should have changed them at least once). The only reason why my 27:28 was good for 2nd (31.1 seconds behind Fraga) was Portilla ran out of fuel and Beauvois did 3 stops.

The cherry on this **** sundae was my 3rd 3-star Wheel of Despair (of 9) this month. Like the other two, it puked out the low-showing 10,000 Cr. Guess I should be thankful it wasn't 5,000 Cr. or a semi-racing part or nitrous.

On the GTP account, I collected my 1,000,000 Cr. from the Blue Moon Bay time trial, then bumbled around Mount Panorama for a marginal bronze time of 2:22.2. I picked up a Ford GL LM Test Car and put it to work at Sardegna. It made short work of the field for an all-car 4-star Wheel of Despair bearing a Mazda Atenza Gr.4. I hung onto it for tuning purposes.

Bought another Camaro for the swap, and another MC20. Ran LeMans with each. Ran the Bathurst TT, a tough one for me. Love the track. Got a stage 5 weight reduction for the Maserati GT.

Bought a peujot vgt ( gr3 ) ,run one Sarthe but didn't Impress .
After that bought audi R18 tdi and try to bring it down to 700pp which certainly isn't his aerea , did two runs and keep my weather notes .
In second run , almost fall asleep, hit the barriers, run on the grass etc.
Till Sunday when my vacation starts , i won't see me doing much.
Just buying some car that i don't have from brand central, trying to take my credits back and that's all .
Am close to 300 cars ,i have almost everything from LCD except the very expensive ones and the same applies for USD cars.
So i guess it's a good period to buy from brand central some cars to put some variety in my runs .

Other than that, took my fourth 4* in a row for this week and if the pattern repeat, ill get a 3* today i guess.
With 5* ones certainly we are in divorce.

Did the High Speed Ring and Red Bull Ring time trials.
Engine swapped my '69 Camaro, fully tuned it took it to Le Mans.
Engine swapped my '16 GT350R, fully tuned it and took it to the Nurburgring.
