Tried Van Art.

Did the Daytona grind for about 700,000-ish Cr. Then spent ALL DAY trying to qualify for the Snail League

Michelin Pilot GT4 Cup Challenge

And jeepers, it wore me out. I can't keep pace with those yahoos. Tried with a Murcielago, but then found out the cars had to be RWD. Tried my Ford GT downmodded to GT4 spec, and it refused to behave around the curves of Maggiore. Tried my Ferrari F430 and it was only mildly better, still at least four seconds down from the worst pace setter. Bought the Gr4 NSX because it was the only eligible car left I liked, and it was fun to drive but I was STILL four seconds behind the worst of them. The league owner talked me into upgrading the thing, and I had to boost it almost 100hp to even match last place! GAH... I'm afraid I suck now.

It might be time to float my WTC500 Gr5 League idea in the racing forum for those of us too decrepit to hang with the cool fast kids. Maybe by the time it gets organized, the darn online racing will support upgrades and tuning... :P

I did manage to snap one cute pic from my adventure in Italy today as I was trying frantically to beat my ghost. I think I need more downforce or something.

Working on IA10 with Dual Sense...might take a while. I usually play the licence until I drove a new best which brings me closer to gold.

LOTS of time in GT4 Spec '23 Z's making them perfect. One of my favorite things is to use parts/settings in the game that mimic real life, and thought the stock transmission in the new Z wasn't suited for GT4 racing. (even the AMG GT GT4 uses a 6-speed sequential) So I went looking for options. Quaife has 6-speed sequential transmissions available and the gear ratios are listed on their website. Plucked those in and with the stock final drive ratio it seems to work perfectly. 👍 Takes some trickery with the ratio adjuster to get the proper ratios (set max speed to highest, set 1-2 ratios to lowest, set 3-6 correctly, then backtrack and set 1-2 again) but I got it to work.

These things seem to be multiplying in my garage. But it works so damn well as a GT4 car...

Was testing out no abs assists. Always a default user and used to instant lock up before. But trying some older cars was able to go harder on the brakes and actually get feedback before the wheels locked up, making driving something like this Ferrari super fun. Need to try with a wheel next but hard to imagine it would be as fun without that trigger/pedal feedback

Nothing much (Yesterday, sunday) Only some Windmills grind to get the daily miles and some more credits.

Today i would probably do the same, and maybe the WTC 700 + 800.

Also,

@Jordan Helped me to get Premium Subscription as i don't have a credit card. So now i'm a lifetime supporter on the forum as i enjoy it this much and wanted to show my support to everyone involved at the GTPlanet team. :gtpflag:

Probably my 10th attempt at the WTC 700 at Laguna seca.

Ended up winning it in a Supra racing concept GR.3 power limited using racing hards.
Won by 4seconds with a pitstop.. bloody crazy but satisfying.

Spent an hour grinning like an idiot while testing my spankin' new G29 wheel. I have to learn to listen to what the force feedback is saying to me. Other than that I like the stock settings right out of the box for GT7. Dirt Rally 2.0 on the other hand......... lol. It's gonna be a pain in the ass to get this wheel to behave.

Hammered Daily Race A with a decent enough quali, finally taking the win after several attempts.. just in time to get into the Manu at Interlagos for some practice laps before the top of the hour.

Rushed back out from my practice session to buy Racing Softs so I could at least see if my WRX pace is any good at one of my least favourite tracks. (turns out I'm within 1 second of a YouTuber from the top split, surprised is an understatement)

Aaand here comes the derp...

The 5pm slot is my only chance, after which I'm going to work for the evening.

What did I do?

Free Practice instead of Enter Race.

Did Windmills 10-15 times today.

The WTC 600 with the F12Berlinetta and @praiano63 settings on the car. Not liking it too much, but definitly fun to drive.

And did 20 laps on Dragon Tail with the Porsche 911 RSR. I found a sick Red Bull Livery so i equipped it on the car. This thing is crazy good for anyone wondering by the way.

And now tuning around and testing.

I'd invest in pain killers if your going to use the wheel for Dirt Rally 2.0 lol it's a " OMG WTF why do my wrists , arms , shoulders ache so much " after a few hours , even the dirt crap stuff on GT7 are a pain lmao .

Great wheel though I have one as well and quite like it after my DFGT got retired , still works on a PS4 , but the 29 is another level again .

Managed to get mission gold in Extreme Drifting (took me maybe 200 tries...) and Drag in Sun Also Rises.
Now only two golds to achieve: 24 minutes of Le Mans and 20 minutes of Bathurst.
Tried first one with Peugeot VGT and figured it is not car for it.
Formula doesn't have lights so also nothing.

Looks like I'll have to buy gr.1 car.
Is something giving Gr.1 (I have Alpine, not sure if it is Gr1)?
Maybe Sun Also Rises.
Don't want to spend money on something that is achievable.

For Bathurst, finished 4th, 11s behind leader.
Tough race.

It was back to the old grind today after going to an Indiana Pacers game yesterday. Past 19 million credits once again, so the recovery from my CLK-LM purchase is nearly complete.

Been having fun with both it and the other Gr.2 car I bought recently, the 2016 GT-R GT500, in the WTC800 events. The Suzuka WTC800 event was the most fun for me.

Oh, and I’ve been doing 660+ kph (410+ mph) in a Tomahawk X at Special Stage Route X every now and then just for the sake of satisfaction.

Tonight I fancied some random online races. Spent a good 30 mins trying to find a decent lobby on gt7, which crashed after 1 race. Then spent another 30 mins trying to find another decent lobby, that had too many rammers, although I think lag was the cause. Gave up. Loaded GTS and now I'm typing here after a solid 3 hour session of about 7 close hard fought races. Met some an old nemesis or two as well. Awesome fun.

The ffb just worked.
The cars just worked.
The lobbies just worked.
The racing just worked.

Fixed my livery for this weeks Manufacturer's race, than ran said race - started DFL (actually 15th because 16th quit) and finished 12th. I am usually good at this track but today wasn't my day.

Several complaints of bad driving near the front but did not see anything myself other than a few nudge-like dive bombs. First 5 or so drivers must have been knocking back some awesome times. I averaged 1:36 and was 1:20 behind 1st place. Those guys were fast.

Received a pit road penalty due to my late late decision to change tires. 3 seconds is a long time, luckily the one behind me was 6 seconds out so did not lose any positions.

Off to work on Wednesday's race.

Enjoy your racing.

Daytona 730PP in the Ford GT LM Spec II. This car is becoming one of my favorites as it was in GT-Sp.

Won by over seven seconds. Surprised even me as I was fighting with the Pennzoil GTR and WRX at the end, but they pitted late and gave me the huge lead.

Ford GT LM Spec II, no aids on except ABS, "downgraded" the transmission to be a true manual* to which I use the clutch and stick shift, all wrapped with my own livery.

*Apparently, even though the driver uses the stick shift in the car, the OEM transmission is actually a flappy paddle. I realized this when using my stick shift and the heel-toes were not blipping the throttle. So I pushed in the clutch and the "N" didn't pop up on the HUD. Went to the tuning shop and bought a real manual trans for it; lowered the PP by like 20 points, which then allowed me to invest that PP elsewhere... win/win.

I took the Mercedes-Benz out on a 2H N24 run last night. Not bad against GR.4
N24 2H Endurance 300 SL Coupe 54 Finish.png

The AI massively cheated in the last lap. I was ahead just passed into first on the straight, the AI pitted and fell 34 seconds behind. Thus he got a massive boost and closed the gap to 7 seconds after Flugplatz. The AI crashed at Aremberg and fell back to 16 seconds behind. He closed in on me on the middle straight then pit manoevered my car in the braking zone for the corner before Karoussel and drove off. The AI extended its lead to 7.5 seconds then slowed down to almost let me catch him before speeding up again to the finish.

I watched the AI drive that last lap, totally ignoring the wet spots on the track, no traction loss at all. If you touch those or normal tires you're done for. The rain gauge was filling up on the AI's screen, but no effect on grip.

Impossible, you will spin out and end up in the wall if you do that.

Just no honor left in this game

Fun car to drive anyway, great interior

Looking good

The silver lining, 6 star ticket after the race and finally a good price: 500,000 credits!
That put me over the line to buy the Chaparral 2J, which I'll be taking onto N24 tomorrow. CLK is up tonight.

Completed IA and IB licenses all gold, did the GR 3 event at Daytona with the Citroen and loved every second of it. Kinda feel unmotivated to grind for the CLK as much as I really want it. I rather wait for the payout updates and new events to show up.

I finished off saving for the Mercedes CLK. 11 WTC 800 GT Championships. 3 today. Stepped back into the rest of the game and realized how bad the economy really is. I may or may not buy it now. Have 6.5 M credits. Nothing else for grinding credits......maybe I could do the WTC 700 3 race championship. I'll decide when it hits limited stock.

I had a poke around Brand Central (didn't buy anything) and drove the 917 Living Legend for the first time at Spa.

How about the one with the Hakosuka fuel challenge ? I couldn't gold that one.
Is that the one at Sardegna? If so, it took me at least 20 attempts to get gold. It was much tougher than the other fuel challenge.
