What did you do in GT7 today?

There's a limit of 100,000,000cr acquired through the game - or "free" credits - but no limit on the amount of credits you can buy for money.

*Actually there may be, but for practical purposes there isn't.
**But if there is, it'd probably be 2,147,483,647cr.
***Which, for reasons noted above, would cost you $20,477.21
Based on my average daily earnings in GT7 (542,594 Cr. per day logged in - which is quite alot higher than I was expecting), it would take me over 11 years to accumulate 2.147 billion Cr. in GT7. $20,477 doesn't sound that bad as an alternative.

-

I started another PP ladder, this time at the Nordschleife.

Not much to report except - the Porsche 911 (901) '73...

First time I've driven that car and just wow 😮 , I absolutely loved it!! It handles like absolute magic around the Nurb, and even though I lost the race, I gained a new favourite combo.

I'm not surprised at all about the 901 on the Green Hell. I'll test this combo tomorrow 🥰
Ok, I'm maybe not very objective (I had some in the past) but all the Porsche - even the legal street versions - are build with racing in their DNA.
These cars are just perfectly designed for competition.

I'd rather have a "Porsche only" car collection available in GT7 with a complete game without all the dumb issues and half-baked functionnalities, than the 500 car we have now and the current state of the game.

Funny you should say that, as I was thinking that the car was almost perfectly suited to the Nordschleife.

@Lomic I think it's more a case of finding the right way to use certain cars - I've always played racing games with some 'meta' stuff, like making my own 'leagues' or competitions, and GT7 is ripe with opportunities to do that. The sheer number of cars available is stunning, and custom races/meta events are possible with GT7. It's just a real shame that Custom Races are not easier to create, and the chance to create custom 'events' and 'competitions' etc. is a big omission IMO, but the fact that there are so many amazing cars in the game does open up alot of opportunities beyond what PD have elected to provide. I'm loving exploring the 'historic sportscars' for the moment, even though they are not the easiest cars to drive at times - but I've been very pleasantly surprised by some of them, and usually for unexpected reasons.

Today was time trial's day. I improved my silver time at Trial Mountain since the margins changed today. Got myself within the silver range in the RX8 as well.

The despicable wheel gave 5k.

Took the Scirocco and GTO Judge to Tsukuba for 26 laps to get my ticket and for some fun. Two totally different cars, but they both share the top-heavy characteristic. The ticket was 💩 as usual, a 3* for 10k.

But you wanna know what's funny? There were 3 cars on the wheel and all of them were an 86 and in the grey color.

I first checked the LCD to see if the 330 P4 was in. Unfortunately not, so the platinum trophy has to wait a bit longer.

Then went on the missions and got Gold on all Moby Dick Missions and bought both Redbull X2014 Standard and Junior for the Extra Menu. 6 star ticket from the menu gave me a million. Much better than the 5k i got from the daily ticket lol.

What to do with the X2014 Standard?
I already got the X2019 from all Gold on Super License.
Should I keep the X2014 for the sake of having it, or should I sell it for 1.1 million?

If money it's not a problem for you, I'd say keep it.

Despite the fact that car is not required to race anywhere, we never know if someday PD adds a menu book or a one make race for it in the weekly challenges.

No actual gameplay today. I did feel those pangs to do some kart racing, though...Watched a few old replays.

Bought a few cars for the future, probably.
  • 3 Mazda Eunos Roadsters (8 total)
  • 2 Volkswagen 1200s (5 total)
  • 1 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR (2 total)
  • 1 Honda NSX Type R (2 total)
  • 1 Porsche 356 A Speedster (3 total + 1 Hardtop)

Sold these cars:
  • 1 Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500
  • 1 Mazda Atenza Gr.3 Road Car

I think the funniest thing about this is that 7 of my 8 Miatas are completely stock and I will probably never drive them. Something in my brain is just saying "Yeah dude, just buy another one. Can't go wrong with another Miat." Must be a parasite or something.

Yesterday been only racing AT Grand Valley race C .

Today i did the last two weekly event ,then did a ride with the R8 gordini full stock in a Random event vs car i could not catch anyhow 🤣🤣

Then went racing race C twice , it's wrecking day. First lobby 3 C/S alliance other B/B B//C.
There you know what 's going to happen even if you are overall faster using a Nsx everytime they could they juste try to get you out 😂😂😂 and often managed to do so ....start 12 finish 12 because i ost my pace after been spinned , block on wall, punted well every bad move you can encounter in a race .a New one one push me over the pit lane 🤣🤣🤣 as i was taking a line far from other .

Second race 2 C/E with really good qt , well managed to finish 8 but was another wreckfest.
In this kind of ''race'' you just dont know if you will make it to the exit of the tunnel.
First Time i Saw rfp E.

I had the same experience and I really wonder if I should put more efforts in these "traps" simply to increase a... rating.
Based on my experience, time trials races are more efficient to improve the driving skills, no matter if you are D, C, B or whatever you want.
The only interesting point of these daily races is to race online with others players.

The point is to race with other of the same level , and for myself being C/D is not a problem it's my actual level.
And i like time trial but i prefer say touring car or NASCAR over rally or any other type of race that are time trial.
And as said in another post dirty racer are part of the race, and i got to relearn to deal with it.
It's years i have not been playing race game do got to relearn almost everything.
My big problem at the moment is braking , working on being able to be more reactiv on modulate the input .
Still i really enjoy racing online and sometimes it's not the others the problem but me not in the right pace. 😉✌️

I can't get out of C driver rating to save my life. Last couple races I entered, I lost nearly all my driver rating because I qualified high and got punted every race. I'm barely in C. I rarely even attempt a race anymore because it's so awful.

Exactly same experience for me. I was B and I'm back to C after 2 or 3 carnage's races where I was involved (unfortunately).
Maybe I'm wrong but I think some players don't care about others or simply hate those who are faster/cleaner than them.

I was wondering if this DR should not be calculated on the races we complete in the game (Spa, Le Mans, etc.) and based on the victories (with a ponderation for the tracks diversity), the penalties, the PP of the cars, the scores at the TTs, etc.

It shouldn't be too complicated to get a global score based on our personal performances, rather than the current system.
Hope you'll get me.

I know you are fast. I'm pretty quick. It's crazy that I can't win a race because I play by the rules and refuse to punt anyone.

If I may correct, you are much faster than me :) Yes, it's a pity that we can't have clean reaces with clean racers.

In the real life, these behaviours almost don't exist (there's some exceptions), simply because repair a race car is awfully complex and highly costly.
When you broke your Porsche and you have to pay 50K€ to repair it because you've been stupid, you don't do it twice even if you're comfortable with money.... (yes, I've experienced this :indiff: ). You pay to learn!

Dirty racers should lose credits for their stupid conduct. They wouldn't do it much longer.

I do the same thing except with the MR2. That is my favorite car in the game. Everytime I see in UCD I buy it. I think have like 7 right now but I have only driven 2. I guess I need to 13 more on for a custom one make series😁

I just went through a few unsuccessful races in a lobby, where I fell victim to pseudo-drivers for whom racing seems to be a one-dimensional focus on flooring the gas, and the concept of braking is like a language from another planet. I hate those types. I know it's just a game, but I can't stand it when someone ruins my fun with their inability to be professional. Bunch of clowns.

Well, I've vented, feeling better now.

I am also much better at time trialing than at races. The extra layer of adjusting your lines to what your opponents are doing and generally employing race craft is too tough for me for now.

As for someone who learned to cope with less clean drivers without retaliating and still being quick I recommend Tidgney and Rory on youtube. Their clean close racing looks like magic to me.

So this afternoon

Finish Gone with the ''wind'', doing the 30 mn at high speed ring. Funny seem i did it once and finish 19. Well this time put a few lap to everybody.

Then i did all the mission of ''the Sun also rise''. Learn to fly with a Mazda 787 at Le Mans

Tried a long time to win dragster race . Was ready to wrote on the forum to ask how it's possible to win with this car.
Esther pass by and ask me why i'm not using same car as opponent ?
I then realise i could choose the car 🤣🤣🤣

Today I golded the CE at Nurburgring minus the lap attack. I saved that million for later.

Then a 3 stars ticket gave me a Ferrari invitation. Since I got back playing the game in last december, that's the 3rd invite I got. (Lamborghini, Pagani and now Ferrari)

That's the 2nd time ever I get a Ferrari invitation. I had already bought the 3 cars behind that. Also, the Pagani invitation was a "double" because I had that in the early days when I started playing GT7.

On the oher hand I've never got anything from Porsche, Aston Martin and Citroen.

Incredible, I never imagined I could gold this one.
I've used MT but never use the 2nd gear and turned off all assists. The replay is available for those who are curious.

Speaking about missions, still remain 2 bronze (drift at Tsukuba and Lake Maggiore) and 3 silver (Nissan GT500, SRT Tomahawk, Porsche 919 Hybrid).

Put in a few laps to get the Gold with the RX8 at GP. Only took 7 laps to get there, but it will be much harder for me to keep whittling the time down. It's a long lap and the RX8 is precise!

RX8 - Nurburg GP TT

Then later in the day I took out a C3 Vette. Put on sports exhaust, filter, brakes, LSD and CS tires and ran an arcade race at St. Croix. Not an easy car to drive, but very fun, and it's nice to have a convertible in VR for the view. Wish we could drop the top in the S2K.

C2 Corvette - St. Croix arcade race

I'll be back in game tomorrow night for the new batch of weekly challenges!

I watch them. I'm pretty good at the spatial stuff. I literally just get smashed off the track and give up frustrated every single time. I have pace in races where drivers drive their skill level correctly. I've won a pile of races against A and A+ level drivers in the snow... because I have wicked pace there. Maybe I should just race like they do. 💩
