This is why I'm glad I learned that the radar can be zoomed in and out using up and down on the D-pad, far less chance of getting bamboozled when you can see what the rain is doing from about 10 miles out. Also, they really need to mention somewhere that the radar can be adjusted like that, because I had no idea until like a week ago.
It's actually 150km zoomed out, 93 miles. Yet the weather on the radar moves at supersonic speeds and will clear that 150 km in about 5 or 6 minutes lol. At least it's more than a lap a Sarthe, at the ring you can still get caught out without warning.

All of Europe’s circuit experiences is now complete (all gold except Nordschleife hotlap), which means I only have Asia/Oceania left to complete.

Burnt out from the last one I needed, Sainte-Croix. Usually, I have trouble thanks to a snappy car, but the Bugatti VGT Gr.1 car had nothing but grip, so it was a matter of timing the corners right.

Barcelona hotlap was quite difficult as well. Snappy Huracan was a nightmare to run.

Got gold on the Laguna Seca and Fisherman’s Ranch circuit experiences, they were both pretty challenging. I did them on a controller this time though.

Did a bunch of circuit experiences, all gold now except for Nordschleife that will take a long time to complete with the tough to drive M6 GT3.

Also struggled at Nations Cup today, but got away with a P8 at least in a kart race at Willow Springs Horse Thief Mile.

I probably need to quit doing the Circuit Experiences before I wind up destroying something. Barely got gold in all of Autopolis, but at the cost of my sanity. lmao

Tsukuba, meanwhile, was easy as can be.

Today started with a quick online race at Suzuka, then jumped in road Tomahawk to do some credit grinding: Daytona Tri-Oval, American Championship and Trial Mountain Championship. Then spent far too long getting a RedBull X2014 Jnr to win the 700PP Le Mans race.

Loving grinding the Le Mans 30 min. Love the variation, hope we get the same races for other 24hr tracks. As other poster says. Seems quite generous with the clean race bonus. Perfect track to grind.

Well, today I was in “ I only live once Mode“ and therefore I spent almost all of my Credits to buy every single GR3 and GR4 Car.
Therefore I had to do many CE Races which have been great fun.
Wow, it took me almost 2 Hours to buy all of them and listen to Andy telling me all of his Knowledge about these Cars.
I just celebrate the fact that I can learn so much about the Cars from him.
It’s a sheer Pleasure.
I also bought some Road Cars I was missing so as of now I almost have all of the available Cars; except of the really expensive ones.
Tomorrow will be testing Day, I have 2 Days off so I can do lots of in depth driving and testing.
I really love to drive EVERY single Car in GT7.
Almost every single 1 has some nuances and I love to explore them and adapt to them.
PD did such a great effort in making them almost all feel unique and to me it’s a pleasure to explore all of these more or Less differences.
This Game will keep me entertained for years I swear.
So many different Car/Tire/Track/Setup Combinations, I‘m gonna need Years to celebrate and appreciate all of them.
Wow, PD what a great Job you did.
Imagine we get more Real Life Tracks…OMG 😅🥰

Best to walk away , calm down an try again later . How do I know Mission 34 I was so mad with that one mission I was cursing like there was no tomorrow, finally lost it completely and actually snapped my bloody controller in half in sheer rage and frustration. So yeah walk away and relax for a while .

Did my first ever online race. After playing every GT game ever I'd never competed in an online race.

Decided to give Deep Forest a go with the Jag Gr3. Did a couple quali laps (best 1:27.8XX) and jumped into a lobby. Was very surprised I qualified in P1. Race started and I Lewis'd my way to the win never looking back; I don't recall by how much but I think it was just under 4 seconds.

Felt really good and I was actually nervous since it was my first ever go! I've probably done that race about a dozen times today in various cars and won every one of them, less two where I spun (TC off).

Now this is NOT a bragging post as I realize since it was my first time online playing I was put into a lobby with people in a similar boat, but it felt good none-the-less!

Used the Tomahawk X for the Le Mans endurance. Stupidest thing I've done since the Escudo wheelie bug back in GT3.

It was enjoyable lapping the idiotic AI that sees nothing but their own line. I wanted to send one of them barreling into the kitty litter so bad, but I wanted the clean race bonus.

I did. Came back with a better attitude. I now have the entirety of Circuit Experience complete with all gold (apart from the Nordschleife hotlap). The rest were a bit easier as well.

Unable to resist the allure of that 6 million credit prize, I decided to buckle up and gold the Nordschleife Circuit Experience. I've been hotlapping this track religiously since it GT4, so it's about as familiar to me as my backyard.

For the 1 Lap Attack, I got 6:38.5xx on my first try, and 6:36.942 on my second.

If it wasn't obvious already by my currently selected car, I wanted that money solely to obtain the CLK-LM. :D

Also purchased the 2J a few days ago. Really feels like I'm rebuilding my GT4 garage with all these classics that have been showing up lately. All I want now is to wake up one day and see the Minolta 88C-V for sale. Until then... 😴

I am working my way through Circuit Experience because I had only done 6 or so prior to the update. Completed Nürburgring, Deep Forest, and Sardegna Road.

I bought a Ferrari 365 GTB4 1971 from LCD, and Honda Beat 1991 which got a makeover.

I really want to get stuck into the new endurance mission challenges but work and ACC league practice are getting in the way!

What did I do in gt7 today....

Jump down a safety rating due to..

- someone spinning in front and wildly shooting across the track in front of me, causing me to hit him. *2 second penalty

- someone BRAKING in eau rouge, causing me to hit them (this guy did a 2.18 quali lap so no idea why he was braking, there wasn't a car in front of him) * 5 second penalty

And finally... someone brake testing me. *2 second penalty

This penalty system is so ****ed its unreal.

Productive one for me! Clocked off work nice and early so I unexpectedly made the last slot of the Nations Kart fest. Rushed to buy the thing, managed 20 minutes of practice before the top of the hour (not enough!).

Outdid myself a little bit, qualifying in 4th and managing to reach the flag in the same position. I spent a few laps behind 2nd but I found consistency so SO hard to come by. Pleased.

Finally finished the café menus! GTWS smashed using my borrowed WRX GR.3.

Taking breaks is necessary at times, even if the skills are already there, you may struggle to get the results.

E.g. me and Autopolis. Struggled big time in my 2,5-3 hour track experiences session (did like 12-15 of them), no way near gold at Autopolis sector 2-3 and full lap. Then less than 10 minutes in after a 2 hour break, golded sector 2 and 3 at Autopolis after a few tries and golded the full lap on first try by a few tenths after that. I guess my brain was just fried towards the end of that first 3 hour session lol :D

Yeesh.. Feels like a blur. I've been working on the house non-stop for a week and today was first time in awhile that I sat down at the rig to really play.

Edit: Oh! I forgot I also did the WTC700 Le Mans race again first thing.

Tried two of the endurance Missions: Alsace vintage race was an easy win. Deep Forest one was a 9th due to various issues.

People keep talking about all this new money from Circuit Experiences so I thought I'd actually try some here. I did them all gold in Sport if I recall. But with GT7 I'm just kinda like.. blah on all the mission and time trial crap. Just doesn't interest me anymore. So I tried the Nordschleife first. Try and knock down the biggest fool first. Didn't start great with the first sector. I was immediately frustrated with how the car drove. Not that it was snappy or anything, but because it felt like a boat. The Gr3 cars are so boring. Then I was getting frustrated by the stupid ghost constantly blocking my view (edit: Yes, I am aware you can adjust/turn it off). Eventually I got the gold for sector 1 but I felt like I was done with it. It wasn't fun to do, particularly with a Gr3 car. Later in the day, I said F-it and jumped straight into the full lap. I've been driving the course in games for years. I know it and, if I recall, the full laps were more lenient than the sectors. First lap around using this car (or any Gr3), no issues, but I miss Gold by about 5 seconds or so I think. I thought that was pretty good as 5 seconds isn't much for the ring for a first attempt.. Proceed to try it a few more times and just get really annoyed but now I can't complete a lap without something stupid happening. I hate the cockpit view. I hate how slow the car turns. I've been driving with my H-pattern shifter + clutch with cars that are actually fun so now I'm not used to left foot braking again.. Called it. It's not fun so why am I wasting my time.

Went and tried Laguna Seca Circuit Experience sometime later. Gold on all those pretty easy.

Since they fixed the tire issue with Custom Races I decided to try that again. I built some more cars for my set of '65-'70s vintage grid. Spent a bunch of time setting them up and getting the PPs balanced etc. Started the 40 min race, AI was definitely on pace now, and I slide the rear a little too much on my Ferrari GTB and go sailing into a wall, wrecking my car on Lap 2.. I limped it for half and lap and then quit and turned off the game.

Game just has some highs and lows for me. I want to play it but there seems to be a middle section of the PP spectrum (say 500-700 but not Gr4) of cars that I'm interested in racing but the game doesn't have much for me to do with them. I want custom championships or custom race rewards on par with the rest of the single player events. So I can race the cars I want to race, other against other proper liveried race cars that are appropriate competition, on tracks that I actually like.

I've been playing Wipeout today with glitched Tomahawk setups.

I'm down to 1:12 laps at Tokyo, finishing the race in under 17 minutes. Getting up to 2.9 mil per hour. Apparently it's impossible to lose the CRB there since I've had plenty incredible accidents with the AI sending my car in the air bouncing down the track. Going around a blind corner at 400 kph with a granny swerving down the track, whatever could go wrong. I'm using the track view now to see the blue arrows coming up in time  Lap the whole field 5 times with a twitchy car, definitely no risk of nodding off lol.

I also did the Deep Forest 1h endurance with the Tomahawk. it's 'only' 1.2 mil yet great fun taking my revenge on the AI. No penalties there and at most aero and wheel damage. Punt them out the way. I lapped the field 17 times, completed 54 laps with 1:00.5 fastest lap. Wipeout came to GT7!

I'm at 21 mil now of the 42 mil I needed for the 3 cars I want from the LCD. Halfway there. I'll leave the circuit experience for later (not a big fan of time trials anyway, especially not if you got to start over every time, just let me lap until I have it) and use this exploit until it eventually gets patched. I missed out on the early gold rush, won't happen again :mischievous:

I'll give the Bac Mono endurance race another try. I copied a setup that hopefully will make me competitive there. With the stock setup I couldn't get below 1:10, mostly 1:11 laps, finished 11th.

Did a couple CE's and a Le Mans WTC700 to get some quick cash for the Tomahawk ;)

Also halfway done with the second set of missions. Gonna be a while until I get to the new Enduros...

I'm also having some fun with Custom Races by recreating the events from the Manufacturers and Nations Cups (I know I am far from being competitive in those, so this will do).

i finally beat the cafe books today... but after that been playing the world touring car 700 8 laps all day just to get money... only won twice out of the 8 times i played lol... but now i know better on how to play it... so it will be an easy dub from here on out.. just need to use racing soft tires and pit once after lap 3 then should be good to go...i was driving way too fast into those corners when i shoulda just braked heavy early and leave quick woulda been fine lol...but i did buy all the cars from the used section and i got the the 2j along with with other cars in the brand dealership... im a continue this grind to buy all the cars i want then will play the other races i didnt complete...not really interested in doing the missions, circuit experience laps or the licenses... i only got the first 2 licenses

Did a couple of races of Sardegna in the CLK LM & Le Mans in the Huracan GT3, the thing drives like it's on rails through the porsche curves. Got caught out by the rain and stupidly tried to push through heavy downpour with racing hards on and the track came somewhat dry on the last lap and ended up 4th with countless spins lol

Went through the used car dealership for the first time since the cafe challenge and got the Honda sport 800 '65 and spec'd it out closest to a Lancia Fulvia (wish that car was in the game...), BMW 3.0 CSL & subbie 22B. New cars; dodge viper '99 & Alfa 4C gr.3 road car, which made me realise there's no lotus in gt7 :ouch:C'mon!

17 times has got to be a record of some kind .

I've been asking for an Event Maker that works like that, to make everything for online or offline play you could ask for. Up to a 99 event racing season with a championship, points etc however you want to arrange it. Make a post in the wishlist thread, link in my signature.

Anyhow, did several 24 Minutes of LeMans races where it rained, and rained. And rained. At least I'm getting used to it, but only keep weather radar on because it looks cool. The weather is so demon possessed, pit strategy is pretty much guesswork. One race I didn't realize was over as time had expired and pitted, came in second. I'll never get caught off guard like that again. Hopefully. :P

Bought the McLaren F1 and another Ferrari "Daytona," can't remember its proper nomenclature.

I think a lot we do not realise how tense we get physically when playing, especially when getting frustrated. It affects reaction times and reading of the circuit, but we think we are doing all the things right that we normally do. You step away, and return, more physically relaxed and boom you nail the lap or the mission in one go.

I’ve done all races and all menus. Probable I’ll do the circuit experience next. Are they worth it money wise? Or just the challenge.Need to go back and Gold the licenses too as I’m always too impatient at the beginning.
