Did the Tokyo WTC 600 a few times, trying different cars. Was fortunate enough to win this 😀😀

Finished a few missions I hadn'tattempted yet, including the last one at Bathurst (great fun). Then took the Mustang Gr3 Road car I won on the wheel of misfortune a few days ago to the endurance race at Kyoto. It was a little bit overkill and I ended up winning by over a minute.

Did some Daily races at Deep Forest. First online races in probably a year since I basically stopped racing online in GT Sport. It was very interesting to say the least. At B/B rating, the lobbies are still kinda rough and the penalty system is still so so but there seem to have been some slight improvement in certain cases. All in all, guess I can see myself doing a lot more dailies if the track and car combo strike my fancy. In regards to Deep Forest, after completing a few races, I decided to jump in the track experience thinking it would be a breeze to gold it. With a 1.27 average lap time, I thought I was doing alright. Almost 200 miles in and still can't find those last few tenth to get gold. Guess that will be my mission for later today. I have to say those circuit experience are a real challenge for the casual player and I can see how they would turn off some people...I'm not complaining though as this just means I will be playing this game for a while.

  • Bought the BMW 3.0 CSL '73 and the Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection '90 in the UCD. All of the rest i already have in my garage.
  • Finished the Trial Mountain 1 hour endurance with the BAC Mono. Barely finished 1st. Wrong strategy.

  • Circuit de la Sarthe PP 700 3 times with my new wheel. Did it with the Toyota GR Supra Race Car '19. Skittles livery, (lol i know.) Little story below how the first try went.

So after the second lap i wanted to pit for intermediates because it's starting to rain and this happend. Everyone was thinking the same, i guess, so i got taken out by de Swift and missed the pit entry completely and couldn't get my new tires.

I did the following lap very carefully but things didn't went very well. (Not only for me as you can see.)

It stopped raining and the track was drying up so i refueled and decided not to go with inters anymore, just new racing hards. Everything was alright after and managed to get first in the race.

Trying to finish the Daytona WTC 800 on Hard which is probably the hardest challenge I’ve come by so far in the game. It’s almost impossible to do with a conventional GT3 car. The only one that has any pace worth a damn is the Viper but even with that you have to drive flawlessly for 10 laps with very consistent pace. There’s also zero room for more than one pitstop which makes it crucial to have constant control over the fuel map.

I’ve tried it for 5 hours now with different cars and setups and I’m still not able to be better than 5th. I’m concidering doing all these races on medium or easy until PD can sort out the balance some more.

15 laps at Sardegna with a stock Porsche GR3, did not win, tuned it, returned, and did win, plus another Le Mans race with a messed up pit stop. So far i have done 4 races at that track and only one was in rain, nicely played random generator.

Bought more cars that i am unlikely to race, kept a few millions handy for the next week sport events, maybe i need to buy a car.

Got gold in the Kyoto Driving Park using the Amemiya RX7 with some minor updates to get it below 550PP, better write-up below

Golded Goodwood. I do not like that track.

Bought the 22b STi, the Diablo, and aformention Amemiya RX7.

If you want to beat it in a Gr3 car, I can respect that. If you don't care, the NSX GT500 (formally known as the Epson NSX) is your friend.

I spent 43 minutes scrubbing .090 seconds off of my time in Deep Forest Sector 1 and still not getting gold. I'm .092 away now!
Wait until you get to Sector 2!

Today…
  • Bought the NSX GT500 '08 and put a Castrol Mugen livery from the showcase on it. Raced it in the WTC800 event at Sardegna and won it very comfortably.
  • Did two more of the new missions at Autopolis and Deep Forest. Used the S660 for the former and the Atenza (Mazda6) Gr.4 for the latter. Had a nice battle for the lead mid-race at Deep Forest with “Beauvois” and his Megane Trophy.
  • Did some tweaking to my Tuscan RM replica. Trying to get the twitchy thing to produce more understeer. Seems to be working with me a lot better.

If im thinking of the right race, try the Supra racing concept.. I tried a few cars with no success but that car pulled through.

More grinding today trying to keep up with the LCD to build my ultimate race line up for endurance races. 2 new cars will be up soon and I still need 10 mil for the BMW McLaren. I guess fun will have to wait until the LCD cycles are done or goes down to less ridiculous prices. Better grind now when it's 3 mil per hour before it goes back to 900K per hour.

Why not just have all the cars available to buy all the time so I can play at my own pace... Please, not another 20 mil car tomorrow.

Got the golds for Rolling Stone missions, only one that really worried me was the drifting in the Gr.4 Mustang. I am SO bad at drifting, literally got it by chance as I basically just did a massive spin-out that somehow stayed in track minutes.

Also...Holy smokes, afterwards I thought I'd pop in to the Circuit Experience for Barcelona seeing as I just unlocked the track and always enjoyed it....

Jesus Christ, I thought I was quite good at racing games but even on a direct drive wheel that thing took me hours. I genuinely thought the last section gold time was beyond my capabilities . Somehow I got it after a few hours but that's got to be one of the hardest things I've done in a Gran Turismo game. I know the Nordschleife one is meant to be comically difficult but surely Catalunya is up there? Haven't seen anyone post about that one yet so maybe it's just me.

Honestly, you guys getting gold in these things on controllers are beyond human!

Will be doing daily workout and liveries later. Picked up used copies of Project Cars 1 and 3, despite some of the reviews I've read lol. I think that GT7 has finally been the catalyst that brings my years and years of daily online rally racing to a close. I'm burnt out lol. I just want to drive on asphalt tracks for a while.
