What did you do in GT7 today?

Went and did a Custom Race based on the Gr. 1 Cup events from Sport, but with added weather and time. It was quite a challenge in my Tomahawk with the Group C cars rocketing away down the straights at Tokyo. I'm thinking about recreating other GTS events like the enduros and making them multiclass.

Seeing as PD might be yanking the Tomahawk from the Tokyo WTC600 tonight, I spent much of the day going round and round with Blofeld in it. Unlike some folk here, it never gets old screaming down the track like a cruise missile on wheels. And inadvertently banging into walls and a few other fun ways to earn penalties. If I can't race the Tommy there anymore, I'm going to have to watch YT vids to remember all the good bad times.

For a change of pace towards the evening I tried the Audi R8, but every freaking lap, some nutbar would knock me into a wall which puts a heavy handicap on any chance of a win. I finally got fed up and went back to the Tommy, and topped my bank account up to just north of 25 million. Tomorrow... two Jags to go?

What is "Blofeld"? You're the second person to mention this. I mean I know of the Blofeld James Bond character, but what's the relation of that to GT7?

Finally got gold on the 30 laps of Tsukuba mission. There were a lot of failed attempts with a lot of different cars. Got there in the end using the Mazda Gr.4. Fun, if annoying race.

Other than that, I've just been doing some custom Gr.4 races around Bathurst and High Speed Ring. I'm in no rush to finish the menu books. Think I'm about 21 or 22 in.

Asia-Oceania Championship.in my recently acquired R32 Skyline.

Finished up the remained of my A-Licenses, specifically A-9 (NSX Hairpin) and A-10 (97 Supra at Autopolis) these were nightmares first-time around. Combination of my experience with them, coupled with the Assists switched off and now doing them triggers made them a doddle to Gold. No longer having to repeatedly mash the accelerator through corners to simulate throttle control is revolutionary. The Supra test (painful) barely took a few goes. So pleasing.

1* Ticket, you know what I won... :(

Work on this livery a bit.
Still early phase as I want to tweak the checker pattern where the squares get smaller towards the front.

What is "Blofeld"?
As ScottPye says... well, I'll just quote the meat of the thing.
I became so used to the Tokyo grind that I began fantasizing that secret agent Stryker was after V. Gallo in the NSX, "Figallo" as I jokingly call him, who was actually Blofeld in a genetically renovated body and flaunting his lawlessness to the world in the open as a billionaire playboy. Bond was off saving the world you see, so CIA agent Stephen Stryker took up the challenge to derail his nefarious podium finishes in typical Bond movie fashion by pitting him however I could. My favorite is to nudge him into the barrier on pit lane without incident to my CIA modified Tomahawk.

Meanwhile, I became aware of the identity of R. Kokubun from Japan, Reika or "Rose", who was actually an alien sent to observe us Earthlings and using motorsports to open doors for her. However she has an aire of mystique about her because she never removes her helmet.
I've had a lot of fun with this silly fantasy, along with screaming around in the Tomahawk. Hopefully the industrious GT community can give us this kind of fun back.

I suppose it's time to look at the new changes in the game, including DD Pro FFB people are complaining about. I suppose this means a micro-update in a few days. I'm keen to see if the PP jumps have been massaged out of the Red Bull Jr, as that car should be a thrill to take around Tokyo, instead of a weak puppy.

Today in GT7 I wept tears of pure joy upon seeing that new Camaro. This thing needs FOUR complete refuels in a 10 lap race on fuel mapping 6!!!! After that test I had to take it for a rip around Nurburgring. Gloriously sketchy at full throttle. My hat is off to the madmen who fabricated this monster. On the other side of the coin, after weeping tears of joy again over the new kei car cafe menu, I needed to visit the used lot for another Copen since all of mine are too powerful lol. You can never have too many kei cars. And to keep things rolling, the wheel of misfortune handed me 500,000.

Came up with seperate tunes for F50 in WTC 800 and 700. Used it to destroy Sardegna and Daytona. F50 is my new favorite car. Gonna have to find a sexy livery next.

Gold Horse Thief Mile CE. EZ
Bronze/Silver Colorado CE. I'm fine with that on dirt.

Did a custom race at Sardegna Road track C. Why is that track not used for anything? It's fun, looking forward to it mid-season.

Worked for a while on my livery project.

Welp, can’t do damn near anything if these servers keep cutting out! I’m trying to do the new menu books, but I keep seeing that little network error creep up. Finished the first Kei race and it gave me nothing. Thanks for nothing, PD!

EDIT: These new load times for each menu are PAINFUL. I don’t know what the hell is going on with this game.

Took out my Suzuki Cappuccino to clear the new cafe menu
I'M TOTALLY STEALING YOUR IDEA!!@#%

Ahem... I mean, I'm going to follow your excellent example. I had no idea these were tuners. Besides, that mid-engined S660 is a bit of a handful in turns.

I completed my Daily Marathon and got a lousy 1-star ticket which converted into a pathetic 2,000 Cr. I was so frustrated I went straight to GT Auto and calmed myself down by putting it towards a Two-Way LSD for my Daihatsu Kei car - it's a copen mechanism...

Think I finished the new races too quickly, what the hell am I going to do tomorrow? Do them again!

Also finished off Human Comedy, only had the Kei cars one to do, been putting it off forever cause I don't like the course or the cars. At least I got it done on the first attempt and don't have to go back to it.

Think tomorrow's plan is a little grinding, little Gr1 and VGT race repeat, then it's time to hit what I've got left of CE.

Did the Kei car book with the Cappuccino, easy, but still fun. Contemplated the VGT book but given the prize is roulette ticket, which will no doubt give me 5k no matter the number of stars, I did not feel it was worth blowing a mill on a car I don't want or need. If PD want me to play their tune they are gonna have to do better.
Spent the rest of the day doing custom races in my GReddy. It didn't like Suzuka at all but was good fun at Fuji and Mount Panorama.

The VGT series was good fun, I'll be doing them again.

Had two 6 star roulettes from the new menus today, 1,000,000 for the first and 500,000 for the second. Got to admit, did find it funny when I saw some people winning tomahawks from them.

How did it go? Tried race B, punt fest, haven't been back. I'll wait and see what next week's races are.
It was a clean race, i started in 2nd though, haha :)

1st place had a 1 second penalty on lap one, i was on his bumper at the penalty zone. Then i just did 4x hot laps, he was faster in the WRX, but ended up 3 seconds behind me.

I'm waiting to see what Gr4 (if they are BOP) races are like, now the Atenza/GTR/WRX/Evo all lost 15-20HP with todays update. There were only small adjustments in Gr3, except for the Lambo.

Edited that last post, I've done loads of Monza races in the Jag this week (mostly not clean..only a few times my fault!), this was my first Win :)

Made a 1.15 video

Then i had to accept the fact that PD either is sandbagging or is incompetent, or in reality is to busy getting ready for the GT Tour and simple doesn't have the resources for doing what they reaaally should focus on.

500pp-950pp events for each and every track in the game (that isn't rally) and fix the custom races payout, villagers wants to race.

Started on the 9 events, i might have started with the hardest first, or i might be in trouble, GR1 at Suzuka. Bought the 3 million Hypercar, this car doesn't want to turn, and the brakes.. not good.. but holy speedy gonzales is it fast. Tried a few times to get Suzuka done, i was trying to hard and the car is not my cup of Pepsi, it requires restraint.

Then i decided to bring nuclear weapons to the fight, the Toyota Super Formula car.. felt much better, ok fuel economy, and if am able to keep on the track for 10 laps i might be able to win.. so far best result, 8th... wrooom for improvement.
