Today was a more chilled session in GT7, but still had the urge to do a custom time attack. I watched a YT guys video about doing the Nurburgring in a GT3, sooo, I tried it myself for less cheaper lol, with my 911 GT3 RS ingame and did a few laps and managed a 6min 33.9 around the green hell. Was bnot easy and some messup did occur and spinouts.

I wish to do better then record the hot lap in one go tomorrow, but all the more a great car to hoon around!

Finished 19th in a race against Sophy at Le Mans. I started 11th was punted by Sophy which dropped me to 20th. I recovered to 3rd and was punted again down to 19th.

Today I spent my GT7 time with the Charger '68 (again). I gave it a widebody and painted black and even though the widebody does resemble the Fast and Furious Toretto's car, I gave it a Bullit plate... 😁

I test drove it at Kyoto Yamagiwa and of course, the Ring. I'll take a risk to claim this is the best engine swapp in the game.

Today I hit Le Mans once, gave a widebody to a tuned but non swapped Charger '68 and sold an extra Mercedes 190e after giving it an engine swapp and testing it.

The game gave me a 5 stars ticket that I decided to keep until the next update.

I took the GT 500 NSC 08 that I won from the WC to GT Auto and put new rims on it. I painted them and changed the tire stickers to Hankook as the 1st part of my new livery. Then I did the Sardegna 800. Got a LFA engine from a 4 ⭐🎫

Today I ran the WTC700 event at Le Mans several times with a Ford Mustang Boss and a Dodge Charger (both engine swapped). These cars are a pleasure to drive!

I've been enjoying testing the swapps while driving at Le Mans and making the grind fun at the same time. Some time ago I said I didn't like the swapps because they felt too artificial to me, but once I (kind of) learned how to make a base tune and tame these cars I started changing my opinion.

I run Le Mans on easy mode because my goal is to have fun driving the cars and not to challenge myself. And of course, there's the credit incoming what it is always welcome.

Even though I am under the weather, I tried to hustle through the Weekly Challenges before the server maintenance at midnight Central Standard Time.

On the GTP account, they went rather hard as, for the original races, I limited myself to what would be available from clearing the menu books up to that point:
  • Lago Maggiore Sunday Cup Classic in a nail-biting 2:14 with a 1965 Mini-Cooper 'S' with all the Sports modifications and CS tires as Gallo started his post-launch Alfa out front (without that, a stock Mini-Cooper would have handled it)
  • Alsace European Clubman Cup in 7:02 with a stock 2007 BMW M3
  • Monza Evolution Meeting in 8:21 with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII tuned to 587 PP (all the non-removable parts plus some aero and a roll cage)
  • Mount Panorama American Clubman Cup in an "unclean" 10:57 with a Dodge Tomahawk S detuned to 864 PP (my old Sardegna grinder; if not for the souped-up Corvette C8 of Serrano, I could have used one of my 600-700 PP cars)
  • Spa Special Event in 15:00 with a stock Alfa Romeo 155
Before getting my Wheels of Despair, I collected my money from the two expired time trials and rented a Nissan R92CP to run around Sarthe. It was a painfully-slow 3:36.8 before I decided I needed to go to the Plus account. As for the Wheels of Despair, he 6-star from the Weekly Challenges gave the 2nd-low-showing/lowest-possible 500,000 Cr., and the 4-star from the workout gave a stage 5 weight reduction for a car that already has it available.

On the Plus account, I decided to try @Famine's suggestion of using the Ferrari VGT, in stock form, to lap the field at Lago Maggiore. As I didn't draw the Fiat 500 F, I didn't quite do it, though I had the VW Sambabus and VW Bug on the front straight, while finishing in an "unclean" 1:22. With said Ferrari VGT I did, however, lap the backmarker at Alsace with the Ferrari VGT, while finishing in 5:08, and 3 backmarkers at Spa (could have been more, but I didn't want to risk the CRB as I was running out of time by that point), finishing in 12:29. I also lapped 6 backmarkers with the Tomahawk S at Mount Panorama, finishing in 9:54. Monza didn't see any lapped cars, but I did finish in 7:33 with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX max-tuned to 687 PP.

The 6-star Wheel of Despair gave a Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II (hung onto for stock purposes), while the 3-star (what else?) puked up the low-showing/lowest-possible 5,000 Cr

Bought all the new cars from the update including that 20 million credit car. Went from 96 million to 65 million. Looks like I will have to heavily grind the Spa Francorchamps WTC 800 race again.

I also bought a second Ferrari F40 and engine swapped it. Upgraded the car and tuned it, well I tried to make it handle well on the Nurburgring Nordschleife, but that car with that V12 engine is too wild and hard to control.

Since I had a boatload of cash, I was able to get all five cars added in the update. I also easily beat every new event added and got my roulette tickets.

The result of the tickets:
  • 6-star ticket from the Ferrari Speciale extra menu: Honda NSX GT500 '16 🔥
  • 4-star driving marathon: 1,000,000 credits 😳

The best tickets I've had in a while. I was stunned. A Gr.2 car and a million back in my bank account already. Very satisfied with that. Can't say the same about the update as a whole, however.

Enjoyed the new update after it took it's sweet time to download, but pretty quick on a cable, I let it do it most of it yesterday so less time taken up today.

  • Then did some of the TT races, my time with the Mission X is in the other thread.
  • Chugged on with some more wwekly races, got a 3 roulette ticket for my daily reward.
  • Then did the SPA manfacturers race, but before I did that I noticed the W196 Merc as the last race for the Nations cup, well tat is gonna be really interesting, not sure how the cars wil behave, not wasting 20mil on that legend, just yet to buy it.
  • Also noticed the LCD is stacked full of great cars that literally want to empty my GT bank account!
  • Bought the cossie 92 and turned it into a rally monster, very fun car to drive, will take it to lake loiuse soon.
  • Did the 500k cred Nations exhibit cup race, got a time of compeltion at 13:53 whcih is not bad, the Lexus GT3 car is so well balanced. Got ogld and 1st place overall.
  • Took some snaps on the new colorado rockies scapes locationw tih variosu motors.

Lastly had fun doing the Deep forest Daily Race C for the first time, was chaos all over but it helped me get my rank back up to B S
and i palced 7th overall. a good race even if a bit bumpy, got pitted on lap 4, spunout by some evil driver, and then had to recover very intesenly to finish strong.

Well here goes Round 4 it is at Spa! Bring on Saturday's race!

It's been a while since I've fired up this game and visited the forums here :D
But I had to get the Mercedes W196 R8, so I fired up the game and am not disappointed.

Drove it around out of the box and it's a real fun ride, imo. Tried to do a livery on it, but nothing works for me. It should stay stock.
Best 20mln credits I've ever spent in the game.
One thing does bother me, though. The unnatural color of the steering wheel. It looks like it got orange paint on it, instead of clear varnished wood.
Had so much fun with the car, I haven't even looked at the other new ones.

Checked the new update
Bought all new cars except 20mil Merc... 🥺
Completed the weekly challenge
Run some TT laps with Mission X and i got nerves
I had a race with new Turbo and it was fast but slidey (maybe some new tires will improve that)
Taken some photos
Checked some liveries for new cars.

I decided to purchase the W196. I had 20,200,000 only, which I was keeping for the McLaren F1 (to close the McLaren extra menu). But the temptation for a 50's Grand Prix car was huge! I have a lot of grind to do again to get to that 20million mark (I play only 3-4 hours per week, so yeah...)
Then I got into the W196 and decided to test it on LeMans with Sophy.
Oh yes, it has a night start time! Let's experience that!
Oh NOOOOOOOOO! The W196 has no lights! :D Needless to say I was dependent on opponent cars' lights to see where I am going. And while it was possible to see at the start of the race (except Arnage, i could not see the turn at all), as night progressed it was pitch black in all areas without lights. That was fun still!

-Bought the Mercedes W196 and drove it around the Nurburgring
-Bought the Porsche Mission X and drove it around Le Mans
-Bought the Escort Cosworth and drove it around Willow Springs
-Bought the 911 Turbo and drove it around Watkins Glen
-Engine swapped the Volvo 240 and drove it around Suzuka
-Engine swapped the Evo 8 and drove it around Tokyo Expressway East Clockwise

Bought the 92 Escort Cosworth, demolished the Manufacturer's Cup race, then started into the Nations Cup race. I've had no motion sickness whatsoever with the PSVR2 in over a year. I was bearing down on P1 and P2 halfway through the last lap when I suddenly got violently sick. I'll try again tomorrow or Saturday. There's still plenty of time.
I have Cr. 3.5 million right now so one of ya'll needs to mail me a check to buy the Mercedes from Hagerty.
@hakk: use PSVR2, you get enough ambient light to see. It's fun running the 1 hour Spa race in the F1500 in a midnight rain at breakneck speed!

On the GTP account, I bought all the new cars, including a second copy of the Escort Cossie so I could keep one as a garage queen, as well as an additional copy of each of the available cars that can freshly take engine swaps. Speaking of swaps, I went through the inventory and found a few cars that I had engines for.

After that, I took my disappointing 250,000 Cr. for merely getting bronze at the Sarthe time trial, and rented a mule for disappointing trip around the Catalunya rallycross circuit, getting a marginal bronze time of 49.3. The Porsche Mission X is similarly disappointing, to the point of being undriveable, though I did eventually manage a sub-1:24.4 at Red Bull for what I hope is a solid silver.

As I had all the Ferraris, I grabbed the 6-star ticket from that. That netted me a Pagani Zonda R, which I hung onto for tuning purposes. The parts ticket from the workout was actually useful, as it gave a stage 5 weight reduction for a car which could use it.

I figured that was enough for one day.

New TV finally arrived so took the old Merc for a spin around the mountains. 120 fps setting is so silky smooth. Don’t care about the slight drop in resolution, not going back now even to 60.

I did the 1st Manufacturers cup race and got 1 million credits. I received 500k car from the 6 ⭐ 🎟️ from the extra menu . I got 100k car from the 5 ⭐ 🎟️ for the marathon. That out at a little over 14 million credits so I might be able to get the Merc before it leaves Hagerty. I don't play everyday so it might not happen which is fine with me I get the next go round. Did the Group C race in the WC

I did two races against Sophy today. The first was with the W196 and I finished 2nd. My fastest lap was 4.31 a clear 6 seconds slower than I can run so if I'm able to string together three clean laps I should be able to beat the VGT that was 10 seconds up the road by the end.

The second race was with the Supra 97 GT500 and I took the lead with a move around the outside Indianapolis only to be punted into the gravel which cost me a good finishing position.
