100% agreed.
process of viewing replays
I just wasted 5 million credits on the PD FGT last night.
Perhaps not the most annoying thing, but...
When you go to the replay theater, you get booted right out after watching one replay once. You can't rewatch the same replay to change angles, etc. You need to go find it again. And not very much context is saved. (E.g. you're not scrolled to the "last viewed" replay when you re-enter the challenge section).
I'm guessing that you have autosave enabled.
Turn it off & use the manual save button.
I have downforce at it's maximum all the time and it still handles awfully. Yours is probably hybrided to perfection and gives no problems at all.
What track did you do lap comparisons on?
GTPSP has crashed my PSP on quite a few occasions, and i'm too lazy to go and press that button after every race. If it were to crash after getting some millions of credits without saving, I think i'd cry.
Aye, so is the PSP Go! As for the game, I played it for the first time today... I found the way you acquire cars to be most annoying, to the point that I'm glad I didn't get a PSP and copy of the game just to ease the wait for GT5.The Nissan Skyline Sport is still ridiculously overpriced.
I used stock cars for the comparison. 3 Tracks. Fuji, Suzuka, & Oval Test Track.
Fuji
I went to Fuji for its high speed corners, & the longest straightaway in Japan.
The PD F GT was able to take the corners at relatively the same speed as the F2007, however it made its power advantage obvious on every exit pulling away steadily.
Suzuka
Allot of lower speed corners, and many corners connecting.
This was a tough track for the PD F GT, I wreaked quite a few times before getting a full clean lap. Once I had though I was able to see the PD F GT struggle to keep up with the F2007 in the multiple low speed corners. Once there was any open track the PD F GT made good use of it and built a steady lead on the F2007, & the F2007 was not able to do enough in the corners to make up for, in the end the F2007 churned out a slower lap then the PD F GT.
Oval Test Track
The 0-400 & 0-1000 Timers
Only visible when driving in a Time Trial, you will get a reading for your 0-400 & 0-1000. In a Time Trial you have to stop at the Line, and lock on your Handbrake then Launch.
The PD F GT pulls away from the F2007 right off the line and all the way to 1000.
The F2007 is a MUCH easier car to drive / Drive fast.
Fuji has the straight and high speed corners which the PD FGT will gain the advantage. Suzuka is full of medium speed corners where it should be about the same if not slower than the F2007 in, but would catch and pass it on the straights.
The PD FGT has the speed and acceleration, but is incredibly hard to drive, the F2007 is much easier and better handling.
I haven't found a S-Rank race that was challenging, let alone being even close to impossible.
Arguably The PD Formula GT is faster then the F2007. Even in the game The F GT is what you face with the fastest cars in the game, & once tuned right, can normally shave 2 seconds off the lap times of a F2007. It might have something to do with the over 200hp more the F GT has. However the F2007 is more popular for obvious reasons. In the Game the F2007 is one of the Ugliest cars, its horribly done wheels are too much of an eye sore, especially when the F GT has such well done wheels & Many color combos.
As for Racing 3 F2007's in a Minolta Or the other weird match ups, Take off the R3 tires, & leave on what the car has default to insure you get the right match up.
Try doing that race with R3 tires. I really don't think you can beat F2007's with the Minolta no matter what you do.
I'll try different tires to see what they put me against.
I think the F2007 is faster on most of the tracks. It handles alot better so any track with more corners it's faster.
The tires on it are extremely ugly but the rest of it looks good IMO. Tires are horrible looking but that's what they look like in real life actually
