I've been getting back into Ghost Recon Breakpoint. I brought it a couple of months back but I didn't enjoy it anywhere as much as I did Wildlands. A beautiful world but a mostly empty one with no soul and an enemy I really couldn't care about taking on. Thought I'd give it another go with the Operation Motherland update dropping and now the new Conquest mode is more my style. The Bodarks are much more interesting in opposition and now there's resistance fighters roaming the world just like in Wildlands. Good timing to fill in time whilst waiting for FH5 to drop on Gamespass tomorrow.

Recently got my first Assassins Creed game, Odyssey. Holy hell this game is amazing! The character are in classic Ubisoft fashion, a bit cringy and poorly written at times, but the gameplay and missions make up for all that!

I played a few of the original Assassins Creeds games and loved them, but as the sequels advanced it seems the storyline sort of got lost, confused and disjointed and the game was really getting repetitious in its game play pretty much just a rinse and repeat mission after mission so I finally gave the series up.

I did enjoy the game a lot till it got to that point though.

yeah i can see how it can become repetitive. I'm about 10ish hours in so far and have so much of stuff to unlock, it hasn't been repetitive for me yet. There are some gameplay feature which I really dislike, the insanely long loading screens being one of them. Another annoying aspect is when you die in a mission, you don't get to retry the mission instantly but get spawned where you last saved the game and have to travel all the way back to the mission and start it from scratch again, really frustrating

Is Assassins Creed to Far Cry as Elder Scrolls is to Fallout? - As in, are they roughly the same due to them using the same game engine with similar controls, crafting/learning trees, fighting, etc. Just set in different eras (or worlds for the Bethesda duo series)

Hot Wheels Unleashed
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection (Finished 1 and 2, now on 3)
Say No! More
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare (still fun to play after all these years)
Back 4 Blood (Just finished my first playthrough of the campaign)

I haven't played Elder Scrolls and only a bit of Fallout, but I have played Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. With Odyssey I feel like its visually more appealing than both of the Far Cry games I mentioned. Controls and fighting mechanics are completely different, as you'd expect. You can't really compare the combat of modern, apocaliptic games to a game set in ancient Greece. Far Cry is, in my opinion, way more repetitive, but the main story is written better than Odyssey. Ubisoft games always have poorly written, but interesting stories and for some missions/cutscenes, I don't really mind it, it can fit the characters sometimes.

The Far Cry games are definitely a bit more arcade-style, not so serious maybe. The gameplay of both 5 and New Dawn is mediocre at best and the game doesn't have a whole lot to do except for a couple bases and story missions. AC Odyssey on the other hand is filled with content. There are tons of story missions, side quests and locations to discover. I'm about 12 hours in now and don't think I've even scratched the surface of the game yet. The skill tree where you unlock different abilities suit the game very well and keeps the combat fresh and fun. The controls, if its for combat, just movement or stealth are all very intuitive and easy to learn. I cannot explain how good the combat feels, it flows really well and is very open for creativity. The different type of weapons are really cool and you'll unlock many different options by just playing the game casually. The horse riding and controls when controlling your ship can be a bit clunky at times.

As of right now I juggle between:

GTA San Andreas
GTA V
Project Gotham Racing 4
Forza Horizon 5

And in the next day or so I will be playing the Remastered GTA trilogy

Been playing alot of Forza Horizon 5 on PC the last 5-6 days. The 144 FPS is also super nice and smooth.

Will be going back to some F1 very soon too.

Decided to start the Burnout Paradise remaster over again. Planning on doing all the Stunt Runs outside of the city early, as I was finding it hard on my old save to get enough points to beat them. Tell you, EA don't make it easy to start a new game. Had to go into the PS4 settings menu and delete my old file that way. Would it have killed them to put a new game option in the main menu?

Also, Wreckfest. Grinding the tournament challenges and doing a bit of multiplayer.

Rather than let my Steam wallet be dormant, I picked up two games finally on Steam.

First, I finally got myself into Stardew Valley. I got to see lots of gamers try their hand at this very popular game, now I took my turn at it. The game is very engaging and personal. You really seem to be part of a world connected to you and just a bunch of mindless non-playable characters (NPCs). My little farm is far from being the best in Stardew Valley, but I'm working on it!

Why haven't I picked this up any earlier? Sonic Mania was a game I finally taken from wishlist to installed. This game is an excellent throwback to classic Sonic games while adding in a modern feel. It just feels awesome. Tee Lopes is awesome in making the music for this game. I currently cleared the first two zones and now in Studiopolis Zone. Fabulous title.

Only thing I may regret about getting either title is not getting them on sale. Still, they are now part of my Steam collection.

I just came here to say the same thing (that I've been playing Stardew Valley, not that I just bought it - I had it for a few years now)

But recently I decided to pick it up again, and I thought it felt like food was a bit underused in the game. I don't like the combat and don't engage in it very much to need it for health, and I never got a huge farm that would require a lot of energy either.

So I decided to look for a hunger mod and start a new save with it. I'm having a lot of fun, it's an extra challenge. Just this already makes it interesting, no need to have remixed bundles or mine chests, or reduce profit. From the very start, you can't just spend the extra money you have on more seeds, you need to buy food, and you need to keep that in mind. Often I found myself with no money after buying food. Just now in Fall I'm starting to get some good money going. Though I guess if I fished more I could get more money, I never bothered too much with it. I like it, but I prefer doing a little of everything, at a slower pace.

I also have a separate save on my phone, that I play at work. Shame the non-PC versions are outdated, and many mods are not compatible on mobile because of that. Also, mining sucks on touchscreen. Combat and movement is annoying, dark caves are specially annoying, since it's hard to place and pick up torches while also having to be careful of monsters and having to mine.

I also play a bit of #Drive on my phone, an "endless racer", where you see how far you can go, with auto-acceleration, brakes that overheat when used a bit so you have to wait to use again (which I guess might make sense if you, like, put a rock on the throttle or something, as it seems you did), and having to refuel your car, fix any damage form scrapes (as any harder collision totals it), and avoid the cops, by either picking up a "treat" to throw to them, which changes depending on the map (donuts in the US, licorice candy in the UK, etc.) or by braking before they see you. While picking up bottlecaps that are the game's currency.

Which just got an update that added Mexico, as well as a classic Beetle.

Will have to do, since my CPU is too old for the new Forza.

They also have holiday specials. On halloween a map will be set at night with the appropriate theme (this year it was "Dia de los Muertos" in the Mexico map), same for christmas (one I remember was Snowplough, the UK map, being christmas).

Yeah, the remaster doesn't run on my PC for some reason, it crashes on the menu. Hot Pursuit Remastered does run though, but I prefer playing the original on my PS3, as the wheel support is better, and there are the Mercedes-McLaren cars. And the PC version for some reason freezes for like half a second when I change cameras. If I keep pressing the change camera button, with a FPS counter it says it's like 10 FPS.

I've also been playing Gran Turismo 5 and 6 on my PS3 with the Master Mod/Spec II mod. Planning on putting GT2 Plus there too to see how it works.

And playing Midnight Club L.A. as well, for the first time with my wheel. Tough, but doable. Just wish it had proper support for the G27's wheel buttons. It recognizes each side all as the same button. So I couldn't map convertible roof control and music skip.

EDIT: Some photos:

With Halo Infinite Multiplayer releasing today, as a "beta" I'm playing that today. Did 7 matches, and only won 2. Still getting settings tweaked yet, as I suck at aiming in Infinite compared to MCC.

Well, FH5 is out now so that's all I'm playing on my PC (and I'm playing a lot of it), meanwhile on my Vita I just finished VA-11 Hall-A and didn't delete it immediately after so I guess I think I'll play through it again someday to get another ending.

I've just replaced it with Undertale, I've completed the tutorial but I can't really see the appeal, lots of people raved about it a couple of years ago and I mean yeah, it's quite clever and funny but the actual gameplay isn't very engaging. I'll keep going, though, I assume it'll get more challenging.

Right now I’m doing both Forza Horizon 4 and GT Sport. I want to try Horizon 5 but I can’t justify the price yet.

Doing a Duke Nukem Forever run on the hardest difficulty as part of mopping up the last few Steam achievements I've got left (at 56/62), up to the last portion of the Duke Burger levels.

The less I say about the turret section in Crash Course the better.
First Octaking fight has been the bane of my playtime the past weeks in the game.

Seriously not the tiniest bit fun or even kinda fair fight which is kinda hard to even out when your choices for ammo are scarce and the vision of difficulty on hand is bullet sponge hell.

It's worth it. Trust me. I feel like it is miles better than FH4
My account qualified for three months of game pass for just a buck (which is weird since I have had both regular and ultimate in the past) so I ended up giving it a go.
Even though my graphics card is listed as the bare minimum spec it still plays fairly good at medium, and to me it looks the same and plays the same as FH4 so I’m happy.

So far I’m pretty impressed of the game, minus a few key points (where are the bodyparts from FH4? I want the duckwing I had on my 350Z back).

GTA San Andreas remastered. Although I see what people mean when they say they could have done a better job at remastering this game, I am still having a blast with it. It feels fresh for some reason and I really like to be in this world again.

I'm playing Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. I'm in Fidelity mode, but I'm thinking of switching to RT Performance mode. Unfortunately, my TV is not 120Hz so I can't do the 40FPS thing. I flipped between the two modes and the Performance mode seems more smooth and reactive, while Fidelity mode has a slightly bogged down feel in terms of gameplay.

I took advantage of a recent sale on GOG to pick up three items. Here is what I recently have added to my GOG collection:

* I had Wolfenstein 3D on GOG for quite some time. But now, I got Spear of Destiny. I had "Spear of Destiny" for a long time as a demo game. Now about 25 years later, I finally play the full game.

* I bought a package that bundled the Hexen series and the Hereitic Series. I had demos of Hexen 1 and Heretic before. I have not played "Hexen 2" as of the time of this post, however.

* Finally, I picked up Quake 3: Gold. Because I am a veteran of the Unreal Tournament series, Q3 is going to be very new to me. So I will be learning of some different play style in this game compared to my Unreal Tournament experiences. One thing I noticed is that there are no secondary fire mechanisms for weapons unlike in the UT series. I am not liking Q3A as much as I do UT, but I still see some fun value with this title.

Ever since GOG went with that GOG Galaxy thing, a lot of my past game save data has been lost. So I will be rediscovering all of my GOG-bought games. A shame, really, because I was doing so well and going so far in some games.

I've stepped away from Forza Horizon 5 (except for Thursdays, because that's new season day) so that I don't get sick of it before they fix the game, I miss the social aspect of it too much. Every now and then you get to mess around with random people but more often you'll find another player and they'll just vanish, it's no fun. So, naturally, I've bought Death Stranding. I've been thinking about it a lot lately and while I could go back to it on my PS4, I'd rather play it at >30fps and it's the cheapest it's ever been on Steam at the moment. It's still great, can't wait to play more.

Meanwhile, I'm (possibly) finishing up Undertale on my Vita, the trophies are deliberately misleadingly-named so it's hard to say. Contrary to my first impression, it is actually great and I can see why it was so hyped now.

I am back to ACC after the latest update and with all the physics changes in a lot of ways it is like learning a new game to a degree.
I will say I do like the changes and the new M4 BMW is a really balanced car overall.

I had been taking a bit of a gaming break just occasionally playing some on an ongoing campaign I have going in Ultimate General Civil War.

Battlefield 2042, although not as good i initially hoped it would be i still can't put it down, skipped bf5 so its great to finally enjoy a bf 2042 game again, portal is great.

Rocky launch but I expect it to be a great game in time as was the case with bf4.

Also playing the hell out of the f1 2021 demo, will get around to buying the full game after Xmas.

I want to pick up BF2042. I have held out because of my video card. It probably does not matter, but I really want a new video card.

Hot Wheels Unleashed. While a bit grindy and some of the textures on the Switch version aren't great. I'm having a really good time with it. Probably spent half of my play time so far, just mucking around with the livery editor.

Something got me to pull the trigger on buying a lot of games on my GOG wishlist. I will only mention games I played.

* I wanted to see what World Rally Fever would be like after playing the demo before. Fairly fun racing game.

* I had a strange time trying to get Interstate 76 going. After a lot of fails, I just left it alone and played something else. I76 is a car combat game set in the American Southwest in 1976.

* Outlaws is a great Western first-person shooter. There are a lot of cinematics to add a nice touch to the game. Like in the past, I played the demo to this before. I played this on my second modern PC as a demo. It's pretty cool.

* I played the 1990s Star Wars: Dark Forces. It feels a lot like a Build Engine game, but it has a good amount of some fairly 3D models. I played the demo of this title many times before in the 1990s. Now, I have entered the full version.

I bought a bunch of other games, but I haven't played them to share them in a post. I may or may not get DOOM 3 in my wishlist, but considering.

Man I wish somebody would remake Interstate '76. That was one of my favorite games back in the day.
