I watched Cars last night. Not a great movie, but it had some laughable moments. The subtitles were screwed up though, so my GF didn't understand some parts. We're probably going to take her nephew to watch the dubbed version on the Movie Theatres once they start showing it.

I saw The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift with Laura on Saturday. I thought it was really good, best one out of the series so far.

This week: Over The Hedge.

I finished watching the "Night Watch" last night. This is the first of the Russian supernatural/horror/action flick, not the suspense/thriller with Ewan McGregor and Nick Nolte.

@ a6m5 the guy you are refering to is Jake Weber, I agree is not a bad actor, hes in the TV show "Medium" and he is quite good in that.
I think I'm going to have to check out what other movie he did on IMDB.

Watched (Fast And The Furious) Tokyo Drift today, very good film 👍 reccomended to Drift and Done Up Car fans

Re-watched Tom Yum Goong (Ong-Bak 2) last night. Its still got some of the (if not the) greatest fights in film history. There are 5 stand-alone action sequences.
1 - Starts with a guy being launched across the screen before Tony Jaa lunges across with his knee. Great fight, nice and painful. but nothing to special. 6/10
2 - A Jackie chan style fight, but imagine Jackie 30 years younger & on hyper pills. The stunts in this fight are truelly breath taking, i must have made funny noises like 10 times while watching this. The back flip onto that barrier, HOW! 10/10
3 - This fight is not actually that good on re-watching & it may not seem that good to everyone. However, take a closer look. Its 5 minutes long & its all one take!! its truelly amazing, he must have been so knackered. 10/10
4 - If this asnt inspired by Tekken then its a blumin great co-insidence. Its bascially Hwoarrang Vs Eddie. Then he has to fight 2 more people, one is a brick s*** house. 9/10
5 - The final fight, think Kill Bill vol.1's house of leaves fight. But instead of swords you have Tony Jaa's hands & instead of loss of limbs everyone's bones get broken. 6/10
The best martial arts film ever!? probably yes. The plot is rubbish and mostly in Thai so i couldnt understand it (but it dosent really matter, its about a stolen elaphant). But who cares
Fights - 9/10
Film - 3/10

I have a feeling you should check out Boogie Nights. ;)
Have done many a time ;), right now I'm watching Total Recall, it's just at the end now.

Flight of the Phoenix! That was an ok movie! The part where the plane flies in to the storm is pretty mean!

Want to see Transporter 2, Exorcism of Emily Rose, Fast and the Furious 3, the Skeleton Key and part 2 of Pirates and the Carribean.

I really enjoyed Kill Bill 1 and 2! Uma Thurman was the lady in that!!

What was Saw 2 and See No Evil like?

Team America was funny as :)

Watched "Shrek 2" and "Sidways" yesterday, both are good films, but "Sidways" is definatly one of those films that has me coming back once in a while to watch and re-watch.

Shrek 2 - 👍👍👍 / 👍👍👍👍👍
Sideways - 👍👍👍👍 / 👍👍👍👍👍

Flight of the Phoenix / D+ Didn't like it too much.

Transporter 2 / D-(maybe F) Did not like it.

Emily Rose / C? One of the creepiest movie I have ever seen. Caused me to wake in a middle of the night coupld of times. No joke. :nervous:

Skelton Key / B+ Very, very good. After finishing the movie, you gotta go back and think about everything that happened through the movie. You appreciate the movie more after you've done that.

Saw II / D-(again, maybe F) Waste of your time.

I liked Shrek 2, but thought it was going to be a lot better. I agree on Sideways, very entertaining movie.

I so love disagreeing with people, its not on purpose. Well maybe it is........

Saw II - Excellent film, Not quite as good as the 1st, but still very good. very clever twists!
8/10

Transporter 2 - Yes its daft, rubbish etc. But i found it very entertaining.
7/10

Emily Rose - I know this creapt my mum out. Not me, although i did like the film.
6/10

Flight of the phoenix - kinda far fetched and stupid. But has some very good scenes, sum very funny (outkast!), sum very serious n good.
7(maybe8)/10

Skeleton Key - i was suprised at this, its a typical PG13 horror, but is somehow better than most & has a nice un-hollywood end.
7/10

Watched Dog soldiers the other night, still one of my fav, if not favourite films ever. Its just excellent. "there is no spoon"
9/10

Over the Hedge is a good film too, no seriously it's a good film.

I just started watching that at work and i had to stop it becuase my boss kept asking me what i was laughing at!

its a great film so far 👍

Spec....

16 Blocks was to me one of thoes movies that's nothing special but still entertaining and I could watch it again.

Famine
The Island.

Is that good?
I've seen a Simpsons episode which apparantly was meant to be similar to The Island, do they call each other numbers and all that?

Numbers and phonetics.

It's an okay film but personally I'd have liked it to have been a lo deeper, less of an action movie though still having action in it, but more delving into the morals and implications of what was happening.

I watched 16 Blocks last night, pretty good movie with a nice ending.
I have that on rental right now! I hope it's good. live4speed's comments are just confusing, so I won't read too much into it. :D

Famine
The Island.

Meh.
You liked it a lot more than I did, Famine.

It's not a special film, but it's watchable. Ie I wouldn't nominate it for any awards, not close but it's was enjoyable to watch. Theres no major unexpected plot twists or anything like that it's a pretty typical chase movie for the most part.

Another good movie I watched last week is Lucky Number Slevin, and it has some interesting plot twists I didn't see it coming. Bruce Willis has been doing some good films lately. 👍

Cars - Excellent movie, I saw the trailer for that movie in 2004, In seems like a little kids movie, but I enjoyed it!

Doom - Just got done watching that about 5 minutes ago... Dam good movie!

Click - It got one star, but I saw every Adam Sandler movie out there except for Spanglish. The movie was great, until the end. then it got kind of stupid. Christopher Walken is the best! "Hey, you're talkin to my man here all wrong, thats the wrong tone, say that again, and I'll stab you in the face with a Saudering Iron!" -Christopher Walken, Joe Dirt.

Everyone likes this movie. I turned it off about an hour in when nothing had happened!

Doom - Just got done watching that about 5 minutes ago... Dam good movie!
Doom. It's exactly like Alien. But crap....

The Faculty. This movie is unbelievable! Movie itself is just OK at best. But check out the people involved to make this movie. :

Director - Robert Rodriguez(El Mariachi, Sin City, From Dusk Till Dawn)

Cast:

Jordana Brewster(Vin Diesel's little sister in the Fast and the Furious)
Clea DuVall(Ghosts of Mars, Identity)
Josh Hartnett(Pearl Harbor, Sin City)
Elijah Wood
Salma Hayek
Famke Janssen(X-Men)
Bebe Neuwirth(Fraiser's wife on "Cheers")
Usher
Robert Patrick(T-1000 from "Terminator 2")
Jon Stewart(The Daily Show)

I was just overwelmed. Sometimes, it's cool to see a low-key movie and recognize an actor or two, here and there. In this movie, the familiar faces just kept coming and coming. Some of the actors were pretty much discovered by this movie. Just amazing. I'd give it a "C-", but still should be checked out for the faces in this movie! :D

16 Blocks - At first, I could not believe how dumb this movie was. There were just so many huge loopholes in the plot. In the end, it all made sense though. Unlike live4speed, I thought it was pretty creative, though it doens't seem that way at first. It definitely could have been crafted better, so it wouldn't confuse viewers like me to go thinking, "this has been done a hundred times before". I'd give it a "B-"(Bruce Willis biase kicking in).

Just saw "the New World" and it was a disappointment. The cinematography was fantastic, and would've been great on the big screen, and the story was interesting, but rreeaalllyy slow, and it jumps around a lot. This would be fine, had there been a narrator or plenty plot-descriptive dialogue to fill in the gaps, but the movie lacked either, and was kind of hard to follow in parts, and the sluggishness of it just compouned it. I'd give it 4/10.

About to Watch Doom featuring the Rock! The preview looked pretty good! Will soon see how it turns out!

Looks sure can be deceiving! Na, it was an ok movie. The Rock was a bit cheesey sometimes (which was to be expected) but was cool that he was the Sergeant. I liked the part near the end where we were in a 'Goldeneye 007' like view! That was cool!! And it was funny as when Destroyer poked his head up into this vent thing to see what was making this noise and then this monkey screamed at him, he got a mean as fright then started shooting hard out at it with his gattling gun. The Rock was also shooting hard out too, not knowing that it was just a monkey ha-ha...

I was impressed by Karl Urban :)

I've seen him in only couple of films, but I really like him as well. First Lord of the Ring, then in Bourne Supremacy. That's it. Hope to see him in more in the future.
