Ballistic Ecks vs. Sever - 2/10 I was genious only because of Lucy Lu but this movie was as pointless as Jet Li films. :dopey:

The Illusionist - I thought it was pretty good. As expected, Ed Norton, Paul Giamatti were money. It was a very nice treat to see Rufus Sewell(our hero from the Dark City 👍 ) as well. I'd be surprised if the Prestige, the one I actually wanted to see, is as good as this. Only major flaw of this movie that I could think of was the little trip up at the end. I just didn't like it, i guess. It wasn't that bad. "B- "

Little Miss Sunshine - I had to rent it. While it certainly did not dissapoint, I'm glad I rented it, as I didn't like it enough to go out and buy it or anything. That actor from the American version of "The Office", he was quite amazing in this movie. Good for him. I've never seen him play a serious role before, so I was pleasantly surprised. 👍

Good drama without getting too serious. There were quite a few laughs in it too. "B"

I saw Hanibal yesterday. Wasn't as good as Silence of the lambs or Red Dragon. Does anyone know why Jodie Foster wasn't Clarice this time?

I believe it was some kind of differences regarding the project, her and the director or somebody like that couldn't agree on.

Edit:
From Wiki:
The book's controversial ending has Lecter presenting Starling with the exhumed bones of her father, which he "brings to life" by hypnotising Starling, allowing her to say goodbye. This forges an odd alliance between Starling and Lecter, culminating in their becoming lovers and escaping to Argentina. At the end of the novel, Barney (the hospital orderly) sighted Clarice and Hannibal at the Opera house of Buenos Aires. A controversial reaction to the ending led the screenwriters to remove this ending from the film. Another reason was that Jodie Foster refused to appear in the film unless the ending was changed; by the time the re-write was done, she had moved on to another project

The Departed.

My jaw almost hit the floot near the end, I did not see that coming when the elevator doors opened. It was a very good film, but not the best film of 2006 imo, it wasn't as good as some other films like Munich. It certainly wasn't Scorsesse's best film ever, but it was one of the better films that's come out in the last couple of years certainly.

Forrest Gump

9/10. Brilliant movie! Tom Hanks plays his role incredibly. I can't think of anything negative actually...

Employee of The Month - 5/10 Lets see... Predictable, unoriginal, anything with jessica simpson isn't a good thing, Dana Cook is ok, Andy Dick is always good for laughing AT, Harland Williams is just a funny guy. I guess I'm in a giving mood?

Grandma's Boy - 8/10 Great movie, very fun and Linda Cardellini is hot. Do I dare say Super troopers funny?

The Big Lebowski. Excellent movie, but absurd in some places. Yet, it seems to work. 9/10

I'm having a White Russian in honor of it.

The Master (an old Jet Li film) - was pretty cack. Had some good fights in. One brilliant move were Jet kicks 4 guys before touching the floor.
5/10

Little Miss Sunshine - 6/10 I'm not seeing what all the hype was about... just another road trip movie like Sideways. Well... ok except for the end but that was a little more disturbing.

Hero (Jet Li) - 4/10 well... like his other movies, this one sucked too. Reminded me of a Last Samurai.

An Inconvenient Truth - It was OK. Before anybody start freaking out, yes, I do realize that this documentary was also politically motivated and not 100% accurate. Interesting view inside the mind of the far-left. "C"

P.S. I finally see why they call Al Gore a robot.

I've put this one off long enough. I have it on my queue at Blockbuster Online now. I still got 4, 5 movies I want to see first though, so I'd be watching it around monday.... j/k

Good comparison. I think Sideways was better.

 I actually didn't think people would think Sdeways was a good comparision, only other one I could think of Chevy Chase Vegas vacation, I think it's that one where they go though the desert? Either way both of those were funnier than Little Miss Sunshine.

Anyway, yeah... Toyomatt recommended it to me and I'm glad he did, my gamer friend liked it so much he's gonna buy it soon. He used to be a game tester and said the movie was fairly accurate too.

My girlfriend borrowed all Harry Potter films from a friend. We watched the first two so far. She had seen those already but since I never cared about Harry Potter before she watched them again with me. I thought it was going to be more childish, but it's not bad actually. Though it's not that good also.

Watched this last night. Thought it was great, all the actors were really good. The end of the film was just so, so wrong :ouch: :scared: 👍

Let's see......

Idiocracy - If you like Luke Wilson, if you like dumb/stoner type comedies, you might get(as in you might like it) this one. I still chuckle everytime I remember the doctor's office scene. I'm going to have to get this one. "B-"

The Departed - Ending I thought was weak, but it had a lot of things going for it. Blockbuster cast, recommended. "B"

Big Lebowski - I had not seen this DVD in SO long. It was even better than I remembered. Thanks, Dude. :P "A-"

Lake House - I liked this one a lot. Except for the time warping mailbox part, it's been done one million and seven times before or something, but I'm a sucker for Keanu Reeves movies, what can I say? "B-"

Too many movies!

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Excellent Spaghetti Western. 10/10. 👍

I watched my The Good, The Bad and The Ugly DVD only a few days ago aswell, agreed 10/10 👍.

I also recently watched:
Fist full of dollars
For a few dollars more
Once apon a time in the west

(yes I like Sergio Leone westerns)

Blood and Chocolate - 4/10 The only reason I saw this movie was because it was made by the same people that made Underworld. Well, I think Underworld 3 should plan to be their last if this is any indication of what they will be doing. It was basically an Underworld Evolution clone only with wolves... Among that the title of the movie makes no sense to any part of the movie. The actors weren't all that either.

This past weekend I saw Ghost Rider and Bridge to Terabithia.

Ghost Rider: 5/10 You can read my full review in the Ghost Rider thread. It was better than the Hulk, but not quite as good as Fantastic Four, which isn't saying much. The effects were good and Sam Elliott was good, even if his character was pointless. Nicolas Cage tried to add humor to something that should have been more along the lines of Blade. It should have also been R-rated to better bring the feel of Ghost Rider across. I was a fan of the comics and parts felt like the writers had only briefly skimmed through the comics to get a basic outline of the story.

Bridge to Terabithia: 8/10 I saw this with my wife. We were both fans of the book as children and I had even seen a stage play version when I was younger. While not as good as the book (when are they) it was very well told and sticks to the story very well. The acting was well done. The effects sometimes looked fake, but I think it was done on purpose because of the nature of the story. Either way it works. Occasionally the writing felt forced, as if the writers don't know how a kid feels. It is definitely recommended for family or date night, although you may have to explain some things to younger children (if you know the story you know what I mean). WARNING: This is not the movie that the trailers made it out be. It is not another Lord of the Rings or Narnia. It is a story about two kids and their imaginations, not a mystical land.

GHOSTRIDER- 10/10 i took my g/f to see it on the 17th and i loved every minute of it and i will say this much. im going to get it on DVD

5/10 & 10/10 on Ghost Rider. Interesting. I can't wait until it's released out on DVD!

All of Our Flags - 9/10 I don't know if this an insult or not but I actually didn't finish the movie. The reason is I don't think it's appropriate to watch in these times, not to mention I feel guilty about other people going to war and me being here watching it. Either way, I don't like war and think it is stupid. With this said, it's good to remember or be reminded of history of the past and not repeat it...

Anyway, this movie had the same feel as Pearl Harbor and Saving Private Ryan. Dramatic and action packed but at the same time very gut wrenching.

Smokin' Aces - slightyly daft, but not as violent as i thought it would be. Excellent film, this guy is a great director (i loved Narc).
8/10

School For Scoundrels - Very Very funny in parts. Quite tiresome in others.
6/10
