Grand Tour Alfa Romeo 8C at Eiger Nordwand. NO GOLD FOR ME.
Same here, thats the only one in the tour that i can't seem to get gold in. My best time is 1:18.359 and i just can't see where i can find an extra 1.3 seconds. It's just such a nuisance of a car to drive with very little traction and so much oversteer:banghead:

Have you seen this video by GTP_DHolland? I hope it helps. If not, well enjoy anyway!

The Grand Tour with the Lamborghini LP640 was a pain in the ass for me but it wasn't as hard as the FGT Championship in A-Spec and SLS Driving Academy in Special Events.

Gold Grand Tour, Eiger. I bought GT5 in November 2010 and still only have a silver trophy after countless attempts.

I'm actually going to try this video possibly later today to adjust my driving style. I finished off all of the licenses (only the 2nd time in the GT series I have gold on all licenses) thanks to the videos (and suggestion of the videos in this thread) by Stune5.

Couldn't agree more, it's the most demoralizing event I've done. I've driven it countless times with no success 👎

hardest part for me is the bspec seasonals. its also kind of my fault because i try to use cars that make bob try hard... but thats wahts killin me now.

i was doing the 24h lemans, i quit it at the 23:35:465 last time i tried it(with the tyre chewer C60 Judd)every 2 laps i was like hoooooly sh****t with the insane power and the stupid low handling

Top gear, but after I did cheat it was easy. Then I used cheat online and told everyone to beat my time. I did it in a wrc subaru rally car... I was in hysterics with people bringing out redbulls and fgt and stuff

Hardest is probably amg events last NASCAR event that requires a pit stop every time.now most frustrating...kart race events, top gear events and that one NASCAR event that makes you pit.

The NASCAR two lap battle at Daytona is INSANELY hard. I've raced against the AI in arcade mode at Daytona in supercars and they don't even give it full throttle and brake all over the place. But when they're driving NASCARs, they're not just flooring it, they're also drafting each other, up to eight cars in a train. And with no one for me to draft, I'm left behind.

So what you are saying is that they drive NASCARs like they are driven in real life....

I believe the F1 a spec is hard for me the races are long and difficult plus I work allot

There are no F1 A-Spec events. The closest they have is Formula GT, which isn't actually F1.

^These^ And the Historic Car Cup. (Until you got the right car.)

On A-Spec it was easy. The problem was getting Bob to win at Cotex Diaper in B-Spec with anything other than the 2J, since he either crashes into the armco 98% of the time or, to avoid that, you have to spam "pace down" for half a lap leading up to the chicane, at which point he's so bleedin' slow that he can't possibly win.

NASCAR, FGT, Top Gear, and some trophies

I found NASCAR pretty easy. Bob hated it, but in A-Spec I did it pretty easily, including Daytona.

I had some trouble with the NASCAR Daytona race due to getting spun and losing the draft. The only other NASCAR event that wasn't easy was the "pit-stop challenge."

I found Daytona easy. I forget what it was that I had to tweak since it's been so long ago, but I got out in front and built up a significant lead that I kept until the checkers. It seems like there was something I had to do with assists to get around the fact that it forces one on, but I don't recall the specifics, but once I did that the AI had nothing for me.

As for the pit-stop challenge, that was just poor game design. I don't mean the challenge itself but the challenge of working up the patience to sit through the same boring pit animation over and over again every time you retry the challenge. I'd have liked the ability to skip past the needless pit sequence to the part where it actually starts to matter. The challenge didn't actually begin until the exit from the pits, up until which you just go make a sandwich or whatever while the game kills time.

Why quit instead of driving another 25 minutes? Even if you weren't first you'd get good money and XP(you must have been ahead of the vipers, at least :) ). I know the C60 Hybride-Judd eats tires bad, not sure about the other Courages. For what it's worth, my 908 got the same tire life as the AI on mediums, one lap more on hards. The only problem I had with it was the horrible mirrors. Sadly I screwed up badly and only 11 hours of rain on Sunday saved me from having to use softs.

I only had to tell mine to pace down once in the tunnel each lap, unless he was REALLY determined to get by the car in front then twice. Never had to drop him below the middle of the red side. It seems to usually just be the overtaking line that causes the problem there. I think I paced him down once at the end of the lap too, as he crashed there a couple times. Took maybe 3 or 4 attempts in a stock Toyota 7.

Perhaps you did those earlier when you could still disable ASM or ABS, whichever it was? When I did it you couldn't turn either off so it slowed you down. It was impossible for me to build a lead, period(though my car wasn't set up and I'm for sure not the best at driving a Cup car around Daytona). It still wasn't that hard, it was just a matter of not letting something stupid happen until the last two laps and then not having something stupid happen while you were going for the lead.

That sounds actually quite similar to the pit-stop one. You're 100% spot on with that, it's not the tough challenge that kills it. It's waiting for that stupid pit stop that makes it so unbearable and is ultimately why I resorted to blatantly and intentionally cheating for that one event.

Redbull challenges (especially the Nurburgring), Grand tour Eiger Norwand with the Alfa 8C, Jeff Gordon's Advanced NASCAR school Daytona restart, Historic Racing Car Cup (assuming you are using a road car).

That was actually kinda of easy, depending your setting. I followed the black car untill I was in the pile, than from there on I got 2nd place.

Redbull challenges - still haven't got any medal on any of them after many attempts and historic cup b-spec got gold a few days ago after many attemps.
