Getting a Chapparal 2j from the UCD. lol

I actually appreciate the fact you have to be patient and wait for something that matters.

Grand Tour and License IA-2 👎:grumpy:
Of course, there are some other events that I haven't got Gold on (incl. the X2010 Challenge), but I haven't tried them a lot, and I think I'll eventually 'gold' them afterwards with practice :)

Top Gear Test Track challenges were always hard for me. Can't even place in the one with the Lotuses.

I found that one hard too, until I found the trick somewhere on GTPlanet: change the break balance to a forward bias, it works very well and becomes a lot easier to do.

The licenses took forever, but golded them. Only golded Monza in the vettel challenge, after hours on Suzuka in particular. Eiger in the Grand Tour too. Aside from that, the FGT just required consistency. Though lost my save data, so I have it all to look forward too again :nervous:

Is IA-2 the FR Slalom?

Is IA-2 the FR Slalom?

Nope, it's the 'Haundieres to Mulsanne' braking challenge :grumpy:

The FR slalom, along with the 'F40 @ Karrusell' challenge, have been 'golded' by me not long ago, just by switching the camera to roof-top view 👍

Edit: I 'golded' that too, with help from a Youtube video :D:tup:
Now to the Special Events...

Out of interest has anyone won the FGT races in the rain? I won the championship by winning the dry races but couldn't even get round the track to finish the wet ones!

I dont think it rained when i did it.

Historic racing car cup was pretty hard until I found out that race modded Challenger R/T '70 trick. I hated the dirt and snow challenges.

X1 challenge is impossible for me, haven't even started the rally stages,

But really the hardest for me is the loading times in GT5, they bore me

And on the nascar thing where you start last and have to slipstream the last car I gave up, did exactly the same as on all the YT video's but it just won't pick up for me, someone told me it had something to do with the difference in us/eur version and patches

I thought the same thing and bronzed it last week. I'ts about getting used to the car I guess...

Completely agree.

Recently got a DFGT and the difference it made was massive. Now, im not saying the Vettel challenges are easy, but in my eyes, the wheel makes them that little bit easier

For me it would have to downloading every patch.

Game was really easy. But S.vettel event is quite hard but i think i can do if i put my mind to it.

Historic Cup was hard until I had the Jag. Level 19 All Star was tough, even mor than the last Dream Car championship. Vettel challenge, Loeb challenges, Daytona Aspec, Formula GT all too much .

Turning it off at the end of the night :D.

So True loll... for me hardest is lambo in the night on gran tour(headlight are not enough strong i can't see anything (even in Hd loll), and many blind turns) and X2010 at Nurburgrin in Vettel Challenge.

Start GT5 on a new PS3 with a bad internet connection. Enjoy waiting while the console install updates and the game :D
If you didn't bought the XL Edition

I think the X1 Events are difficult with DS3.

This is my first time playing a GT game and I ABSOLUTELY love it! It was only natural for me to pick this game up after I started getting into cars with a passion.

Anyway, I have to say that hands down the license tests were difficult. Some were astronomically difficult and some made me want to put my controller through the TV. The most difficult tests for me were the Muslanne braking crap and the most difficult by far was the Rome race with the old Ferrari (512BB if I can remember correctly). The Top Gear events were all fairly easy (even the Lotus one didn't give me much trouble) given that I was using multiple videos and forum how-to's. I still haven't golded the Eiger time trail (even though I love how the 8C handles) nor the Lambo night race in the Grand Tour. I haven't even touched the X1 challenges because I just don't want to deal with the frustration.

A-Spec and B-Spec races are all quite easy for me (most were) except for the Historic Cup and the Formula GT Championship (which is my next task).

But by far the most challenging and REWARDING aspect of the game is tuning. I've only recently gotten into it but it adds a new and ENORMOUS facet to the game. I've seriously read hundreds of page in tuning guides and posts and I've barely scratched the surface. Even then, I can immediately see the pay off of tuning your car (handling improves, lap times are quicker, and there's fun in experimentation).

I'm definitely not looking forward to the Endurance races but I'm going to do them because I'm a completionist and cannot get enough of this game. :)

It's not KAZ fault. Read your list, most of the issues are "dumbness related".
Kaz don't kill online fun, stupid people does.

Yeah Dumb cant be fixed :) .
But Kaz could make it a little more Dumb proof.
-More info before entering a lobby.
-Vote systems need a fix.
-The great No Swear chat system :).
-But last and not least the penalty ghost system ...

I've been waiting for the road version of the R390 for about a year and a half now. :scared:

That's good stuff 👍.

Single handedly the Vettel Challenge. I want the Prototype bad, but lack the reflexes to drive the car in the time required.

Other than that, probably the endurance races. They're just painfully dull...its like watching paint dry :ill:. I've golded the Grand Vally 300km, but have failed to finish the Roadster 4hr, Laguna Seca 200mi, and 24hr Le Mans (mostly due to lack of competitiveness of the AI). Without day/night transition or even rain, it just gets dull looking at the same low polly track...over and over and over.

Throw in some explosions or deer crossings...just something to keep entertained over the torturous hours of lapping Tskuba (sp?).

"And the Number 5 Audi is out of the race after striking Bambi. Watch the driver try to continue the race in hope after tearing the car apart and economically disposing of the deer..."

LOL!! :lol::lol:

I think the most difficult event I raced in has to be that 4H Nur race in my 1999 Honda Insight.
