Right "with racing exhausts"

Mclaren f1
Lamborghini Murcielago
Ferrari 458
Audi R8 5.2

all sound the same but with stock exhausts they sound real 👍

Toyota GT-One, Tommy Kaira ZZII and many more cars which don't have a recorded engine/exhaust sound but a generic hairdrier buzz.
Out of premiums I'd say Subaru Imprezza WRX STi.

LanciaAWD
The Starion rally car is horrible and so are a lot of others, too many to list. I would have to say I am more disappointed with the sound in the game than anything else.:indiff:

True true

Audi A4 Touring Car. Sounds like a slot car...

Ssssssssssssssssssssssssss *shifts up* Sssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

Horrible.

I agree that's the most annoying sounding car in the game, it's like nails on a chalkboard to me.

And !!

BMW M5
Ford GT
Nascars

all sound the same like farting sounds 👎

:D:tup:

The Spitfire and a couple of other small cars I can't remember off hand, sound like someone gargling...I'm pretty sure that's not accurate or at least I hope not.

Mclaren MP4-12C, and the RS6 Avant, which by the way share the same engine sound despite having completely different engines. Not to mention the sound itself is extremely synthetic

Add the Lamborghini Murcielagos. None of the exhausts sound like a V12 :(

Just won the Nascar Championship, and with this thread in mind Jeff Gordon's 2011 Impala really reminded me of a coffee grinder all the time, you could practicly hear the coffee beans being mushed accelerating to top speed...

All Nascar's sound like this in the game? You would expect a low bassy growling sound, but none of that coming out of the speakers actually.

A lot of cars with race exhaust. It destroys the sound.

There are actually a small number of cars that sound better with a racing exhaust than stock, and in some cases, even better any other type of exhaust available. One example I can think of off the top of my head is the Tuscan Speed 6.

Also, that car sounds like a bloody V8 with the semi-racing exhaust too, even though it's a straight 6.

GT5 engine sounds. They all suck if you ask me... except maybe that Challenger SRT-8.

Hey Kaz, get these Forza sound guys in a room, give them women and money and don't bother with sounds criticism from the community anymore. : )

The Prius. Enough said.

Corvettes with aftermarket exahust. How could PD get something as well known as the American V8 sound so miserably wrong?

The TVR Speed 6 is  sound. No argument. But problem is they just all go a little too generic on engine samples. Try an Aston V12 Vantage with semi-racing instead of racing exhaust. Raceing exhaust wrecks many supercars and it is a real shame.

the 300c and land rover concept (fully tuned) both have the same sound. its horrible. ultra low frequency. sounds like a tuba, or some kind of fart machine. i always laugh when i hear it

With racing pipes they all sound like tanks but with stock pipes they sound like the real thing most cars on GT5 sound bad with racing mods on . And yes i do drink alot of beer got that right lol :)👍

I think he is talking about the legendary gulf-livered GT40 Racecar. I agree about that thing having an awesome exhaust sound! And for once I'm glad the sample isn't shared with anything else.

The worst exhaust sound? Most generic ones, for example, Ferraris with the titanium racing exhaust is literally ear rape. I can't stand the noise of those things- and the bad thing is, they're very common.

Yes Ferraris with racing pipes sound like swinging a cat by its tail lol 👎

Although I like the sound of the stock Tuscan for it's distinctiveness, it's far from realistic IMO:

Another car which I've recently found to be barely tolerable is the Lamborghini Murciélago. The sound itself is good, but it simply doesn't feel right on a car which you know to be powered by a V12, it'd work better on a Gallardo :irked:

Ultimately, none of the Murc's exhausts sound good. The only one which follows a V12 type harmonic is ruined by being over-synthetic
:banghead:
