Um, I was joking dude. I was implying that you guys are running fast cars, capable of such a gap but small time difference.

Ah my bad bro, I must have missed the joke. Been taking everything so seriously today, because I lost a good friend :(
 
you sure your talking about GT5 leaderboards and not iRacing leaderboards?

there are examples of stick users just being a couple tenths (or less) slower. So, wheels are a little faster, not much faster. Besides i haven't met a wheel user yet who can put my nurburgring lap times to shame.

@bluntified, i was talking about correcting an error, not crappy driving in general.

It is not a bug. It's supposed to be like that. Can you imagine how hard it would be to control a car's steering to make sure it won't "light up" using a controller? The analog sticks can only turn so much physically, so it would be virtually unplayable if the analog sticks allowed you to control the full turn of the wheels.

I raced for 3 seasons in the intercontinental GT500 Series as the only pad user and i was normally first to wear out my tyres, you can be much smoother with a wheel and braking with pedals so i'd say it was your driving style!

I'll try both the DS3 and DFGT. Is this with any tuning allowed? I only have a good tune for my CSL.

Never a good idea to call a time trial challenge at the ring. Their is always someone faster.

@carracerptp Tuning allowed. I think its an excellent idea, you don't get any faster unless you surround yourself with challenges.

The CSL one is the one that i would think would be the hardest to beat, the rest aren't nearly as dialed in, But still pretty good. 650pp Xj13 time was not to easy for me either.

No i mean a recommended car, thus no tuning or anything. Just a recommended car.. some tyres and a lap.
 
Um, no.......

I don't get to play much, and some cars just suck on a DS3 (I only drive ones i like) so i think your stuck with the cars up there buddy. Shouldn't be a problem for you though, especially on racing softs right?
 
Yeah, Dan's not to shabby with a wheel I guess :lol:

Spec's seem to be arcade on sport hards, abs=1, I can think of a few jpn pad users that could give that lap a run for the money, one who runs no abs even :scared:

Posted it to poke at Dion, I bet he could come close though if he fancied a go.

Tire wear on or off? And was how did you set the CSL time (Race with standing start? any other cars? ). I can't seem to get my CSL up to 555 only 554.

One question. I saw your signature as all aids on. Does it mean that the time is set online with srf on and full tuning to 550pp allowed?

There's no question both small_fryz and you are top gt5 racers.
Another epic matchup of wheel v pad especially in the ring would be mike_gt3 and numbnuts.
Wonder if they would give it a run.
Curious too how you certify yourself to be the leader of the fastest gt5 team in the world. Is yinato, Amo etc in your team?

Off, Most hot laps are set with tire wear off. I stated a standing start, 1 lap race like most online races, There were other cars as it was an online race with witnesses, but i probably started in pole position. I had no draft help. I also said the CSL was only at 550pp, not above, Also Racing softs to whoever asked.

My sig is a joke, All of it. I only use ABS-1. no SRF.

Pad vs Wheel?
I still think PD should at least give us the option to restrict either pad or wheel in online settings. There is enough of a difference between the two to constitute a debate in the first place.

Well in my honest opinion. GT Academy should be exclusive for people with wheels if it hasn't been already.

Why would you alienate probably 75% of your loyal customers/fans/followers?
Its not a race, no one gets in your way!
The cream will rise to the top no matter what, what could banning DS3 users possibly achieve?

The only thing they need to to with gt academy is force on ASM to stop the cheats exploiting GTs physics by sliding around he corner.

Banning ABS and every other assist on GT Academy is a better option than forcing ASM, braking will rely solely on driver's ability, just like steering and accelerating.
Without ABS or any other aids, I doubt those drivers who exploited the physics could do it again, at least it will be a lot harder to drift around corner. I did all of last GTA event without ABS, with default 5/5 BB, still manageable, just needs to adapt.

ABS in GT5 do not represent real life ABS at all, it's a simple brake assist with user adjustable parameter, higher number means more turning grip is allocated instead for braking.

But in GT5 ABS has been proven to have hidden stability factors in the game. That's what riddox meant I am pretty sure
