I like lifting weights, and I'm pretty solid. Lifting-solid. Solid Snake is a video game character from one of my most favorite games of all time, and this is a site for video gamers. This is also a site that's about cars. Solid lifters are an engine part of some engines. I happen to love the engine sounds that solid lifters make compared with rollers, or hydralic lifters, so I love engines that use them.

I've always liked your username SOLID. It just sounds so, so, solid.

Mine I heard in some song. "Kickin it in my Lexus boombexus."
Seems fitting seeing as how I drive a IS300 with 2 12" subwoofers in the back. It definately goes boom!

I'm just glad my username doesn't mean, scrotum. :yuck:

I'd like to hear someone with a lisp trying to pronounce my username, but then I would laugh and that other person would probably beat the crap out of me.

Actually it'd be more along the lines of 'Thleek Thratoth'. Maybe I wouldn't like to hear it after all, sounds like a major saliva bath.

ROFPML

Very funny Rob:lol:

A warped sense of humour helps :D

I actually choose it as a mates missus will not let me say "bollocks" in front of their kids, and he's English and I have a bit of a fondness for British humour/slang

A "market maker" is a professional securities dealer who has an obligation to buy when there is an excess of sell orders and sell when there is an excess of buy orders. So basically if a broker/investor wants to buy a stock but there are no offers to sell it, the "market maker" fills the order himself/herself by selling shares from his/her own personal account. And vice versa — if a broker/investor wants to sell but no one wants to buy, the market maker buys the shares. On a stock exchange like AMEX or NYSE, a market maker is known as a specialist.

MrktMkr is a shortened form of MaRKeT MaKeR, and 1986 represents the year I was born. No... I'm not a market maker yet, but I plan to be someday. :)

Taurine
This is something more original then my last alias but I got it from glancing at a Red Bull can one day...

That's cool... 👍
I just read somewhere that "taurine" is an amino acid. I didn't think there was anything healthy in can of Red Bull! :dunce:

this thread is fairly ancient,

My reason is still the same as post 102, and even with the chance to change my name, it will stay the same :)

My nickname came from a bit of fun... and just people not knowing how to say stuff.

Okay, its started out as Asurmen. Asurmen is the first Pheonix Lord for the Eldar race in Warhammar 40k, a table top war game I use to play alot of. He's pretty much a badass.

Now, I started using this name on Counterstrike... and then the mics came along. With that, people could not for the life of them say the name correctly. Its said something like A - sur - men. Now.. people would say... Ass - ur - men... or A - su - ra - men. Adding letters...

So, I changed it to something people could say easier, and still sounded alot like the orginial... Azuremen... A - zur - men.

Now its just what it is, and has been that way for about 2 years now. Mostly go by Az or Azure short.

Uh .. I go to Virginia Tech (VT) and I'm probably graduating in 2007 (07) and I love Gran Turismo (GT) hence, the birth of VTGT07,.

B/c its my most favorite freaking car, that's why.
Plus, me and McLaren'sAngel are the only 2 McLaren posters on here.

I chose my name because it's the name of Kents brother, just a huge coincidence that my name also happens to be Blake.

Blake

Sage
It's my real name. Whee!

Yeah but us old hands know you used to be called youth_cycler. You got your named changed in that flood of name-changing way back when. :P

Nevermind, so did I. I used to be called Jazza because it's my nickname. Then I got it changed to SandStorm because I saw a Holden ad on TV where this ute was doing donuts and "creating a sandstorm". So I got it changed to that.
