Which car to use in ''Like the Wind'' lvl 21 A-SPEC Mode?

how on earth do you get first with this IDIOTIC driver? i am closing to breaking everything in my room right now because ive had a few attempts to bring him to first but i cant. my car has like 260hp too... i swear to god on each corner this idiot just loses control of the car omg. HOW DID HE GET HIS DRIVERS LICENSE?????

Completed the Daytona Road Course with the ZR1. Absofreakinglutely can't do the Indy one though :( Anyone willing to let me borrow the 88CV (or anything that can do the oval) temporarily? I'm willing to send someone something rather hefty/pricey as collateral.

I used the Furai for both without any trouble, Just upgrade the Furai abit and raise the gear ratios and you should breeze it

@cwm33

Great guide and suggestions mate, thank you!

I am wondering however if it wouldn't be cheaper/faster/just as effective to turn the Corvette ZR1 09 into a race car (~400k) to do all those races. What do you think?

It might be faster and just as effective (depending on how good you are with the ZR1) to go with the ZR1, but it's certainly not cheaper. The only real purchases that are REQUIRED are the tunings for the Furai (might not even NEED them but they certainly help), and the cash for a Miata for the roadster event which you would need for yourself anyway. Total required for that is probably just over 200,000 credits, which is still cheaper than the racing modification on the ZR1. The ZR1 seems to need a bit more of a specific tune to get it to play nicely on these courses.

If someone wants to blow a huge amount of money on race modding their ZR1 then more power to them, my way worked for me and I just wanted to share that experience so others could benefit from it. When I tried the ZR1 on the Indy course I got absolutely annihilated and I gave up on it rather fast, and it left a sour taste in my mouth for being a huge waste of money. My way does it without the huge money investment, but to each their own.

The game isn't a DDR type puzzle and there are many solutions to the various problems, this is just one that has worked well for me, I never said it was the be all end all ultimate answer. ;)

The ****ing minota is utter crap, what the hell, any slight bit of power when turning and its gone could somebody help? WHAT THE HELL, its a bloody race car and I can put a 430 round the track quicker? what kind of crapola is that?:grumpy:

The tuning forum might give you a better answer for that, mine drives like an absolute dream so I really don't know, plus I'm not a tuning expert by a long shot.

Yeah he's a dipwad, your best bet is to use the 'pace down' command before he hits the corners he has trouble with. Try to keep his aggression bar closer to the middle than full red so he's less of a spaz.

How is it you up the downforce on the Furai?

Go into the tuning menu, and then the Body/Chassis section, and then into the Aerodynamics option. I have mine set to:

Front: 25
Rear: 50

Hope that helps!

Also the roadster I bought is actually called a "Roadster RS (NC) '70", apologies for any confusion, I'll go back and revise my original post.

Did you guys with the RM ZR1 do any engine mods? I put a supercharger on mine I believe. It killed the AI's

Also raise the gear ratio up to top speed, lower the suspension as low as it will go and full downforce.

Yup i put everything on my RM ZR1. that thing is insane! dont forget to give it an oil change too. a little extra horsepower.

i finally managed to win the race in 1st :dopey: i felt so great after finish that... my driver always starts off blue, within 30 seconds hes fully red :ill::ill: btw thanks for your advice! the furai is a wonderful car, it seriously is glued onto the road lol. :dopey: now i just have to unlock gone like the wind... level 19 :indiff:

Im deffinatly going for the Mazda Furi tonight! That sound like an awesome ride.
Cant wait to try it out on the championships

Thanks for the advice.

I did the first track with the Furai. Only added the one engine boost I believe. Didn't touch the downforce. Can't remember if I added soft tyres, the car seems to be glued to the road to begin with. You need to get in front after the firs few corners and then block on the 2nd straight. Its pretty straightforward as long as you're careful.

2nd track can be done with the ZR1. I helped out this other guy on this forum and he posted a Youtube video of his race. The settings are all in the description on the video. It works.

Win the Furai by doing the B-Spec NR-A Miata race (lv. 6 B-Spec)
Use the following settings for the car after max purchasing of upgrades.

Downforce front 30 rear 50.

Top Speed 249.
Turn ABS off.
You will catch and pass all of the cars in the corners because you don't have to brake at all and after 2 or 3 laps, they won't be able to catch you on the straightaways. I won by 1.7 seconds.

I used gtr spec v 07 loaded to the hilt. Stealth mclaren was fast enuff. The gtr accelerated faster than those cars but you just have to drive it well. I won daytona by like 1 sec.

managed to win all the races in the All Star Cup with the Furai today. Can't say it was to most pleasent driving experience!

fully upgraded, long ratios and lower downforce, still stuck to the track like glue

IT'S POSSIBLE!

Might try this, i cant win with just a turai with more horsepower, it doesnt Acc fast enough so il get past on corners and other cars just come up behind hit me, and spin me of, any other tips?

Also how to do the daytona, i cant do that either, cant find a balance for acceleration and top speed, these cars have both!

Not just Horsepower, upgrade everything you can on the car.

For Daytona I used a Veyron.

Yep, it's pretty easy to win the Indy race with the Furai. I went a bit extreme and turn the downforce all the way up to give me the most grip in the corners. I was wanting to leave my Veyron stock but I did a full upgrade with weight reduction on it and it flies. Even taking the corners slow you can win the Daytona race easy with that. Then when you win the Minolta race car you can use that to re-run the Indy race, smoke the competition by 12-14 seconds and get 77,000 for 3:40 minutes of work. It's nice to be able to get a decent amount of money now!!

Okay I now have a higher opinion of the ZR1, apparently when I tried it in the Gone with the wind event after race modding it, I had forgotten to re-equip the racing slicks, so I was doing it with Sports: Hard tires, no wonder I was getting obliterated.

I beat it with the 'vette on my second try.

I'd also never really gotten into tuning things like downforce gear ratio before. I've usually just raced with whatever the game gave me. It was always really complicated and confusing to me. But if you make little adjustments at a time you can make huge gains in just a few tries.

I bumped up the downforce on my Furai by 10 front and rear and upped the top end on the tranny to 380ish (iirc). Made the car drive like it was glued to the road. You can literally drive around the white line at the center of the indy track without ever taking your foot off the gas.

I can't seem to find the balance tuning the Furai to get it to stick. Can anyone post their exact settings so I can do this race flat out like everyone says it can be done.

Rides height, downforce, cambers ect ect.

Thank you very much for this tutorial, I got my Mr F. Schuhmacher to get me the Furai and a bunch of other cool cars along with the latest gift to me, the Zonda R 09 which he seems to be loving at the moment since he is destroying the competition in the B-spec expert Tuning Car Grand Prix

Literally the only thing I changed was the ride height and top speed gear ratio, everything else was default!

Aero: Front - 25, Rear - 50
Top Speed: 380 (and it still got topped out when drafting, so higher is viable!)

Everything else was set to default.

I also added information to my first post about using the ZR1 for this pesky task, so those of you with ZR1s can feel all special and included now. ;)

I have to make the event all stars, and there are still unsuccessful, the Veyron is a rocket, but it is impossible to keep the road

I used the Minolta. You win it for something. Forgot what. Ir stays on the ground and is super fast. 👍
