After 4 days I haven't buy any cars... I working with those that I won so far. But I feel that this is not going to last long.

Well, I had said that I had the '79 Bluebird, and I did, but I needed a more practical first ride. So here it is. ^^

Dude, Lancia Stratos bronze rims look soooo badass on a dark blue '32. ^^

My first will be without a doubt, the Nissan with the back of the 240SX and the front of the Silvia (I totally forgot the name). :)

The same as in real life...Lexus SC. Not the 430 though. I can't believe they didnt put all the different versions like they had in GT2 like the SC400 SC300 and Soarer 2.5GT and 4.0 GT Limited. That was kind of sad but at least they have the SC300 with ability to turbo just like in real life.

Sileighty, and no can do, sadly. You need to unlock it from the FR challenge, methinks. Please correct if wrong. 👍

You can get the Sil-80 by winning the Silvia Races at Nissan.
I got black Sil-80 easily because my frist car was the '88 Blue Silvia, quite nice with a small amount of tuning. Used it for four competitions so far.

I didn't buy one. I did exactly what I did in GT3, I got all gold in the B license. And didn't want to transfer my file. I did all that on the driving force pro and that **** was hard (most challenging tests so far). I won a VW lupo, Mazda concept (the FF 150hp hatch lookin one), and Honda S500.
With the 10,000 credits, I tuned to what I can.

I tuned the lupo rather than chosin the more powerful cars I won. I like to start with a disadvantage. Now my lupo is Nos injected and turbo charged to 160 HP.

I think Nos is fun, but I won't be usin it on my future cars.

Maybe for drag.

I bought a 1989 Mitsubishi Galant 2.0 DOHC Turbo VR-4... I was like .. hmm.. its cheap.. it looks kinda cool.. its 4wd and turbo and it'll be good for a few things and somehow it struck me as cool... I dunno.. I had planned on starting with the Trueno like I had done with GT2 and GT3 but didn't even tho it was available.

my first car was a used Rx-7 1993(?) FD. Silver, man it was sweet. i put some BBS's and a fat spoiler on the back, just like a drifter. it looked really sweet.

After completing the licenses except for the S, I cleared the first 10 races in Mission Hall and ended up with 20.000 Cr. then I bought a MR-S  from the used car lot for the MR Races and the SPIDER & ROADSTER Races.

Still havent bought one. I have 25 cars over 10% and trying to see how long I can go until I absolutely have to buy one. I like a challenge. :)

My first car bought was a used red Mitsubishi Evo V. I transfered licenses and credits over from GT3 to pay for it. as of now, I'm just over 22% with about 40 or so cars. My favorite, and the car I use the most at the moment is my Evo VIII MR tuned to about 500 hp.

The Locust
Nissan Silvia K's Aero S14 1993

Then I bought BBS's for it. =)

I dont have GT4 yet (6 days left) but that car will probably be my first also :)

Or a 180sx if you can afford it with starting credits.

I transferred credits after I obtained my golds on A and B licenses. Instead of dropping all my cash on these mediocre prize cars, I bought a 350Z Roadster. I only did suspension and tranny tuning at first. I ran the Clubman, FR, Spider Roadster, Z-cup, Tuner Championship, and N/A, as best I can remember. It is my best street car. The car drives like its on rails. I also bought an Integra Type R, that I'm playing with again now. I had all upgrades and HP tuning except N/A or Turbo. The wheelspin at 433 horses with the Spoon Original Turbo, on a FF is crazy. So reloaded and bought the regular Stage3. I'm good at throttle control in corners to control understeer, but I always lay it down when clearing a turn. The lag of the Stage 3 helps in tight corners. In a staight it will spin ALL the way through 1st, 1/2 through 2nd, 1/4 through 3rd, and chirp 4th, if you flat out slam it to the floor. If I hit NOS, it'll smoke all the way through 3rd, burn 4th, and chirp 5th. Don't get me wrong the suspension is tuned to a T, its just a beast. But I think I've got it nailed down though. Touch of TCS, smidgeon of U/S ASM.

Are the used cars OK for a first car? (i.e. 276HP GT/R, EVO or WRX/STI, etc.)

I've noticed many of the races you participate in many of the competitors are in older model (used) cars. I personally haven't purchased a used car. Really don't plan to. If you apply yourself, and win golds in at least A and B licenses, you can win a couple of good enough cars to do well in the early beginner races, to save up for a new one. Just an opinion, but I would look at what could you buy that will last for the most types of races. You can steadily upgrade for higher difficulty races, and start bringing in some larger cash. Or another suggestion would be the Mission Hall. The winnings start out small and grow as you progress. You build your skill, win credits, familiarize your self win the upcoming tracks, and it counts as % of game completion, if that is your thing.
